How the FRICK was Strangers of Paradise such a GOOD FRICKING GAME? And how the frick is FFXVI looking so bad when Jack already showed them how well an action FF could be done?

FF16 was already far into development when SoP came out.
What really surprised me was how shallow the combat was for the game, it doesn't feel anything like DMC or Dragon's Dogma at all.
why would the combat feel like dd? not even dmc feels like dd.
Itsuno didn't work on it
It didn't learn because nobody played it. What audience it could have garnered in spite of its terrible storytelling (it's an action game first and foremost, I fricking know, relax) and cringe as frick dialogue and cast, it squandered by running like absolute shit.
>Running like absolute shit
I'm not even memeing, am I learning now that the world is full of poor people and I'm just better than them and my computer ran it fine?
No, you're only just now learning than there is such a thing as "lucking out" when it comes to game performance.
For instance, my previous computer ran Cyberpunk 2077 just fricking fine even with a 970 at medium.
I'm running a better computer now and SOP is still a stuttering fricking mess installed to an SSD.
What you're not learning, however, is that the answer isn't "lmao fricking poorgays" it's "lmao incompetent fricking devs", and those same incompetent fricking devs are hiding behind morons like you who throw money at a problem instead of accepting accountability for their monumental and consistent frick-ups.
I never claimed shit other than my PC ran it well after you said people's PCs didn't bro.
> I learning now that the world is full of poor people
>I never claimed shit
did you hit your head?
Funny, for me Cyberpunk ran like shit even on the steamdeck(it was unplayable) but this game runs like a dream(6600k and a 1080ti)
its another case of Nomura destroying yet another potentially kino game with his autistically over-convoluted plot and moronic dialogue
Rent free.
>the le dialogue is le bad because um....le cringe?
XVI is dogshit but SoP is basically a 4-koma gag stretched into a 30h game, gameplay is basically "What if Nioh but FF jobs?".
The gag is "What if FF, but musclehead jock moron just punches his way through everything and doesn't care about the rules of the setting?", which is funny, just not for that long.
"What if Nioh but FF jobs"
What in any way shape or form is wrong with that?
>What if Nioh but FF jobs?
Where is the issue?
Maybe doomposters should actually buy those games?
Its like how world of final fantasy ended up being a charming fun game to play as they didnt take it so seriously and frick up the formula.
When the game came out the same times as ff7R.
>World of Final Fantasy was the last turn based FF
>it's been 7 fricking years since
>STILL no sequel despite it already being written
I fricking despise SE. At least Octopath is decently fun for what it is.
I'm actually glad. The game is done and ended with no major issues or anything.
I feel like a sequel woild frick it up
My only real issues with SoP is that Jack carries the plot too hard because the rest are kinda forgettable and the DLC was kinda shit. Other than that I have no doubt that it's better than XVI.
SOP was developed by team ninja and 16 was designed by queerenix.
Imagine making a thread for the most basic shit any mongoloid should be able to run 2 braincells together to comprehend.
Why didn't Square learn from Ninja?
Why are you a moron that can't put any thought into what you type?
because it had soul and it wasn't concern with coping a shitty tv show that was already a downgrade of the og books.
Anon, Jack's game was a sales failure.
cult classics always are
what a fricking tragedy
