Bitch, I played Yakuza 0, an eastern game praised for its supposedly compelling story, yet I found the writing to be one of the crappiest I've experienced in all of jap media. The characters were complete anime tropes and the plot was riddled asspulls, with seemingly deceased characters conveniently coming back when the plot requires. There's also an abundance of forced drama, and certain scenes don't make sense at all (e.g: Nishitani's goons mysteriously disappearing from his jail cell when he was getting shot). Additionally, the game contains lots of shoehorned not so subtle geopolitical messages, portraying white foreigners, Korean and Chinese characters with no redeeming qualities.
