it's a convenience, not a requirement

No, when the game is solved enough to the point where there's only one right way to play it that is poor design. Pretending to be moronic and ignoring it doesn't magically create gameplay.

>there's only one right way to play
the only right way to play a game is doing what you have fun doing, if you care this much about shit like this then maybe look up another hobby

"it can be ignored" doesn't shield a mechanic from criticism, morons that play Dungeons & Dragons were still smart enough to figure this out

criticism is okay, but saying you aren't gonna have fun with a system because there's a way to ruin that fun is just being dense and stupid
for example, P5R released a couple days ago with all DLCs and that includes the ability to summon the strongest persona at level 89 from the instant you unlock the compendium for free, letting you end every single combat until endgame with a single skill
do I think that's fricking moronic? yes
is it gonna stop me from having fun? no, I'll just not use that DLC, or at least wait until I'm at the appropriate level so it doesn't trivialize half the game
That isn't how game design works. Read a book
I'm too busy enjoying my experience with games I like to give a single frick about how you think game design works, sorry

>playing a game on a massive world with other players >playing a game where you constantly depend on other players to accomplish anything meaningful
Learn the difference, shit lord.
This kind of attitude comes from autists that only play videogames to make number go bigger.
The reason it's in a dungeon isn't because the game is "forcing" you to play with others. It's because you need a power core to power some machine which is guarded by some guy in the Halls of Infusion and the Halls is a dangerous place for one person to venture into alone.

Dungeons always dropped profession recipes in WoW. What a moronic fricking complaint. Also the overuse of the word "gating". Yes you have to do things to unlock other things in a video game.
Zoomers really want to kill the little multiplayer left in MMOs, stuff like Ironman mode in Runescape (both versions) proves this
The funniest part is they are the whiniest group of players in the game
You imply I watch streamers you absolute Black.
Just stop being a lone-wolf homosexual who plays multiplayer games despite not wanting to do multiplayer.
>Battle Royales solo are not real multiplayer games according to WoW gays
Let me give you a reality check, most people that don't want to socialized when playing WoW are not shut-ins or shy, or introverts, they just know the average WoW player is an annoying and pretentious shit-eater dumbo, just like you.
Not that guy, but playing a mutiplayer game doesn't mean you have to socialized all the time, or need others to complete every single content.
There are plenty of things you do in WoW that you do by yourself, but you still are playing in a massive world filled with other people around you. It doesn't stop being a multiplayer game just because you are doing something by yourself.

I'm not even implying that. You people are fricking moronic. If you're playing a multiplayer game and expect to complete all or most the content solo, you are moronic and playing the wrong type of game. Just get it in that dense skull.

>expect to complete all or most the content solo,
Literally nobody wants that, not in this thread, or in OP's image. Some people want some of the content that was historically a solo experience to remain a solo experience. Saying "iT's a MuTipLayEr GamE LmAo" is a lazy brain response that implies you can't have some amount of solo content in a MMO.
You can keep responding to claims or opinions that weren't made anywhere, schizo.
>forced
This is the problem. MMOs force you to playing in groups instead of motivating you to do so.
Only cucks like being pushed around, no wonder most WoW gays defend this crap.
Wait hang on, crafting jobs need dungeons to be run to upgrade them? I can understand the frustration then. Crafting/gathering jobs in FFXIV have zero combat and one of the first skills you get is a zero aggro skill that makes enemies ignore you so you can gather in peace. What's the point of forcing non combat characters to do combat?
Is there literally a single reason why professions can't be account wide with any character able to be every profession?
There's only like two that matter anyways
I mean the game where literally the ENTIRE story except for dungeons (which WoW also has) is either watching movies, right clicking NPCs, or fighting solo instanced mobs in a purple circle
anon 4 minutes is not long enough for you to justifiably forget the context of this conversation
FFXIV requires grouping with other players and WoW does not

The average IQ of a wow player is reaching a negative number
It has never been possible to progress professions on ungeared characters. In the entire history of WoW. Unless it's requiring Mythic difficulty to get the items/drops for the profession chokehold, there is no fricking reason to get asshurt about this kind of requirement. Mythic 0 being required is bullshit when Normal/Heroic is literally no fricking different beyond attempting to add the weakest artificial gatekeeping for a profession that will end up being worthless once the fricking Raid and Mythic+ opens. But something tells me this isn't coming from that kind of scenario and instead this lazy homosexual is just asshurt they have to queue LFD.
>when the bottomfeeders cannibalize the garbage they begged for
shitters begging every game or series for MP only now to have nearly every game force it on you and every MP game force you into working with others to get anywhere.
Because WoW has no content outside of dungeons and raids.
fbpb this game has nothing to fricking do outside of instanced content
Because the developers want you to be gated as much as possible so you don't realise there isn't all that much to do

That is a woman in her 40s.
if you want to know why wow is dogshit, it's because blizzard listens to all the feedback from whiny 40-50 year old chain smoking women.
wow professions are literally "collect x to press y to craft z" which is babyshit to ffxivs profession system
FFXIV and WoW are both shit games, you moronic shilling cultist.
Meanwhile FFXIV's is "paste a macro from the internet and click one button"
just because that's possible doesn't mean you can't ignore it and have fun
By this logic, every game ever made is perfect because I can choose to play it like a moron instead of how it's actually designed.
by this logic, every game that has an easy difficulty option is unchallenging garbage
That is very different logic

Because they want the "MM" part to be compulsory.
>oh my god why do I have to play with other people in this ONLINE MULTIPLAYER game??
I know to you chinks making clothes is a mass player event, but just because it's an MMO doesn't mean everything has to involve grouping with randos
you're just a scared little pussy
what's the matter, afraid people are gonna shit on you for being bad? lmao

He has no issues with that. Read the post. He has a issue with being forced to gear up a character he doesn't want to play just to use professions
its not the grouping i dislike its the player base you gotta group with.
mmo players are shit tier

WoW is the most single-player MMO around.
Your character is always the "one hero" of the current expansion.
