Why do normies and redditors love characters who try to be heros and goodie boobie good guys? I wanted to be a badass outlaw in RDR2 but even with the honor system that was impossible to do story wise. I really fricking hate normies and redditors so fricking much.

I remember that when my character kicked out that austrian guy Strauss out of the camp ON HIS OWN, my honor system went back up on it's own for like 50 fricking percent and out of spite I shot literally like 80 people+their horses in some shitty forest village and got my honor even lower than it was

Its super hypocrite, its like excons trying to live a life of charity and trying to find "redemption". Instead of living with your actions and try not to do bad shit again.
John in RDR1 did a far better redemption, i.e. leaving his life behind and returning being a humble farmer.
The rest, is optional for the player since he did bad or good stuff while he was searching for his old brothers.

Arthur isn't a good guy, he literally terrorises people working for a loan shark and completely destroys a family for petty change.
The bigger problem is that few, if any, shooting game actually addresses the question of killing people being a really bad thing, we're just meant to assume that baddies deserve to die.
I'd be fine if the game actually let you be a good guy, but no matter what Arthur is a horrid person. You do terrible things, like murder people for their horses, wipe out a small town, assault people for their money and none of it reflects in your morality meter. On top of that the game acts like you're a good person despite that and acts like there's any real moral difference between the player and Micah. It's not that you cant be a baddie, it's that you can only be a baddie and the game pretends otherwise. Maybe it's asking too much for Rockstar to make a game that actually lets you be a good person or still gives bad boy points for mandatory actions, but if so then they shouldn't have tried in the first place. If they're completely incapable of making a game about morality then maybe they shouldn't.

RDR cannot make good games, it's just the same on rails story go from A to B doing the same thing with some sprinkles of scripted funny npcs in the overworld which give you missions to go from A to B as well
the shootin is pretty good is all too easy with die hard bullet time mode
the riding is a big failure, they have a bunch of neat details but fail to really do anything meaningful and may as well fast travel from level to level
maybe they should have just made a cowboy era shooter without the open world
