usually because theyre uneducated, massively misinformed about PC gaming, living in circlejerk groups that feed said misinformation, and settle for less instead of demanding more
>Demons souls demake
Demons souls is on PS3 and PC unofficially >Nioh collection
On PC officially and is significantly better there. >Ghost of slopshima
Coming to PC >Horizon slop 2
coming to PC
Black person the PS5 doesnt have games and any halfway decent ones are or will be on PC.
Lol homie, Nioh1&2, Ghost of Tsu, Horizon, Turismo7, and GoW, are all available on the PS4. It's not even a PC thing. Even Console players literally have no reason to buy a PS5.
Lol >inferior
It's the exact same games with the exact same content. In fact for online stuff the PS4 version is downright better due to having a larger playerbase.
with full ps4 backwards compatibility its an okay upgrade for now, in the future im sure there will be more exclusives but even then there is a huge casual playerbase that (at least in europe) favors playstation over xbox
ont everyone is a mega nerd who browses video game fora all day long, some of us just want to relax with a game of fifa after a long day of working or socializing
All miss the point. 6th-gen graphics were the sweetspot between graphical fidelity and acceptable budget >today the incredibly high production values demanded for vidya (graffix arms race, VA dubs, etc.) >as a result of the exorbitant costs and sales expectations figures, only AAA dumpster fires backed by big publishers are produced (e.g. movieshit, walking sims, rehashes) >the alternative is pixelvomit and other nostalgia-desecrating 'indie' cashgrabs (e.g. ugly mixels, ear-raping chiptunes, etc.) that fail to achieve the quality of old vidya. usually these are horribly pozzed
"Gamers" believe that game consoles are "Gamercore"
The idea that games exist in their purest form only on devices that were built specifically for the purpose of playing games seems silly but isn't all that farfetched, but it often comes with a false high of superiority. "My gaming experience is more pure than yours, PCs are for work and consoles are for play," something along the lines of this.
What these people fail to realize is that game consoles' target audience has always been children. They are incredibly limited computers, and while most functioning adults own computers for work and life, gamers don't comprehend the worth or value behind a bonafide personal computer.
Really they just buy consoles because they are simple to use.
You're a moron.
People got consoles before the turn of the millenium because home computers got shitty ports that sucked since porting actually took effort, and PCs were expensive and became obsolete extremely quickly. Furthermore, consoles were just plug and play, a fact that has long ceased to be true.
Games designed with PC in mind were usually great though.

Gaming pcs cost a frick ton more, borderline unplayble ports and straight up unplayable ports are the norm, you either have to build it yourself or get a shitty prebuilt that will come with gimped performance from the single stick ram configuration and shit cooling they all use so it's even less convenient and many games even come with malware aka denuvo. You need to be mental to choose a pc over a ps5.
Same reason why the bought PS4s. But unlike PS4, PS5 is actually a somewhat decent machine. Who the frick bought 80 million PS4s, that's my question: how could these people endure 60-90 second long loading screens for an entire generation?!
>Gaming pcs cost a frick ton more >borderline unplayble ports and straight up unplayable ports are the norm
Both wrong. Even the "unplayable port" The Last of Us ran fine on 12GB cards, the issue was morons trying to play the game on High/Ultra with 8GB cards: https://youtu.be/Rh7kFgHe21k?t=290 .
And most "terrible PC ports" run like shit on console as well, but the average console user doesn't care: Jedi Survivor dropped below 900p and/or 40 FPS in performance mode on PS5 https://youtu.be/iWJKuCfHLSU?t=720 .
The reason why consoles still have a reason to exist is because they're plug-and-play. That's it. They aren't even that much cheaper nowadays.
This outperforms a PS5 for $100 more, I built this in 30 seconds using PCPartPicker: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/9Z8jY9 . You can probably build a similar machine for less if you hunt for deals and stuff.
You either overestimate how fast a PS5 is, or how expensive PCs are nowadays.
It isn't if you know what you're doing.
10yo PC hardware easily outperforms a PS5.
>10yo PC hardware easily outperforms a PS5.
Shut up.
When will consoles finally make the transition into PCs?
Imagine killing 2 birds with 1 stone (can run Office/Photoshop/etc. on one OS AND vidya a separate one). It'd be the death of mainstream desktop PCs.
Never. Definitely not PlayStation.
I can MAYBE see Microsoft launching some kind of Xbox-native version of Office. Maybe even allow third-parties (Adobe...) to launch their own Xbox-native versions of productivity programs.
A complete open platform on which users can install whatever they want? Never ever. The entire console business model is based on locking people into a walled ecosystem; if you could just install Steam and play with a PlayStation controller on Series X, how is Microsoft supposed to make money.
But even the first option seems unrealistic. Who would even care about Office on Xbox, a $100 laptop can run Word just fine. And for programs like Adobe Premiere, Xbox hardware is way too weak.
When you need to use a low volume card selling for under msrp that wouldn't get restocked at that price if any amount of people seriously bought one instead of a PS5 only to still go over budget you ain't winning any price competition.
The 6700XT has been selling for around that price for the last six months, what the frick are you talking about. You can easily buy one right now.
>Shut up.
Kek. Lmao even.
Unoptimized launch game. PS5 = 6600XT.

>You can easily buy one right now.
Gee, I wonder what would happen if people seriously took your advice and bought one instead of a ps5. Shortages from it being low volume? Price going back to msrp making the comparison pointless in the first place? Of course not that would be crazy.

Dude, the 6700XT has been selling for around $300-350 since the beginning of the year. And it's consistently one of the best selling cards on the market as well.

>if you could just install Steam and play with a PlayStation controller on Series X, how is Microsoft supposed to make money.
by increasing the price. how much would the series x cost without the ms subsidies? even at 700usd it would still be the best mini gaming pc out there.

uhhh bro your TV? your couch? your carpet? your rent (too poor for a mortgage)?

sorry chud everyone I know has a tv to watch goyflix on.
This. That idiot didn't even know the PS5 comes with a monitor, desk, and gaming chair.
yes us normal people would already have a tv and couch since we usually like to entertain our guests. we don't need to buy a desk, chair and monitor just for the sole purpose of playing computer games
if you buy a console, online access and every cod game ever released available on it, its the same price as a PC and one COD game at full price.
this is the most normie of normie cases and is the reason why companies get away with selling remasters of 7 year old games because nobody drags their consoles from 2 gens ago out of the closet to play an old game. there is literally no argument here and you clearly dont have a worthwhile PC to be making the one in the first place
The people who buy this are normies who either don't have a PC (some people only have tablets these days), or there PC is a piece of shit from 10+ years ago and slow as frick because it's riddled with bloatware and viruses and has never been formatted.
they are framerate blind, have low standards, feel trapped in an ecosystem, made it part of their identity, are to lazy, poor, or stupid to build a PC. this goes for xbox as well.
personally playstation hasnt had anything i wanted to play since ps2.
I bought it for FF16 mainly while also wanting to try a bunch of the hyped up exclusives that I missed.
FF16 was just decent but holy shit I never realized a lot of these games that everyone acts like are the best games ever are just Ubisoft style open world slop. Horizon/Ghost of Tsushima. Why do people pretend these games are good?
Barring third world pajeets and rheir like budget PCs, how are pcs not a status symbol? You morons choose the least convenient option because muh freedom. Enjoy the shitty ports morons. Devs gave up on you guys awhile ago lmao
Ik. It isn't a coincidence so many pol/v-cels try to delude themselves on indie shovelware loool. They have to cope, the idea of being inferior trash is just too much for them. Its alittle sad tbh.
are you 14? this is my last post in this thread because im tired but at what point did you look at AAA gaming and tell yourself that playing indie games is a delusion? youre obviously shitposting for funsies but i think some people actually believe this before they boot up their 79.99 console game that they get bored of in 2 hours
Most people don't have burned out pleasure receptors and enjoy videogames. I can post hours if you're unsatisfied. Also, the fact you mentioned price tells me you're some poverty stricken thirdworld rat. Sorry regional pricing sucks, try being reborn as an american next time.

nobody really gives a frick about you or your hours if i go and pull up the achievements for the top 10 games of last year the first one is going to have less than 70% completion and the 2nd less than 65% meaning barely anybody actually plays the videogames they buy on either platform- the difference is a 5 year old AAA game doesnt still cost 50 buckaroos on Steam. why are you trying so hard to meme after i already put a bullet in your glass shitpost

Wrong. Most people of thousands of hours in modern warfare 2 or other multiplayer games and have yet to reach 100 percent of even 1 percent. Other than single player games, I can show you seveal that have less than 65 percent completion trophy wise that I have upwards of 200 hours in. Hell, I have 700 hours in ffxv, a single player game and only 50 or so percent in trophys. I've been playing since release day, mind you. Sit down pajeet. You're a depressed corpse of a man and should consider suicde
Performance to price ratio is very high. Sony loses money on every PS5 sold. If you're satisfied with lower midrange performance, it makes sense for the price.
You do realize Sony is a publicly traded company, right? Which means you can actually verify this. In 2022 Sony's CFO said they lose money on each PS5 they sell.
It's a meme. They lose money in the first months. >For the first time since its November 2020 release, the PS5 is covering its own manufacturing costs, though the less expensive and disc-less Digital Edition is still losing money for Sony. Aug 29, 2021
NTA but you are wrong. Snoy isn't making the same mistake like the PS3 again.
This doesn't account for the future either, PS4s cost nothing to made post 2016/17 and the same will happen for the PS5.
Anonymous
You are cherry picking historic sources to fit your narrative. In 2022 the CFO said they lost money on each sale. Producer prices fluctuate, but the PS5 price has been consistent. This means that sometimes they'll lose, sometimes they'll profit.

Seems like you're the one cherry picking when everywhere else says PS5 has been profitable since early/mid 2021 and is profitable now in 2023.
You're literally choosing one point when everything was overpriced including desktop GPUs.
PS5 will be made for pennies and sold for a massive mark up in the near future.
>Every game on it is also on PC
yeah but not everyone wants to drop a minimum of 2k to play on pc. GPU prices are still bullshit and will probably stay that way for 3 or 4 more years and plenty of the pc ports have been dogshit lately.
I bought one to play FFXVI.
My PS4 Pro I was able to turn into Best Buy for ~200 bucks so the PS5 was only 300 dollars and it was a bundle that came with GoW Ragnarok.
Not the best game but also gives me an excuse to finally get Demon Souls as well. So paying 300 bucks for 3 games and the ability to play all my PS4 games in higher fidelity seemed worth it to me.
Do you want an actual answer or you came to validate your point that your console of choice or PC is better? I can't help you with the second one, but I will tell you why I bought PS5:
1) You get to actually own the games that you play thanks to physical distribution, you can also trade them with other people or sell them if you don't need them anymore.
2) While it doesn't have the same performance as PC, there are no PC that can match PS5 at the price point.
3) The simplicity of pushing a button and playing the game, no need to update drivers, Windows(LMAO), it's just pure and instant fun.
4) It's less chunky than your average PC, which means that I can carry it with me if I want to.
5) The exclusives. >Every game on it is also on PC.
Not every game.
And even if every game was on PC, do you actually think that this is somehow invalidates the existence of PS5? People love Sony's exclusives, that's why they have been banging their heads on the wall for them to come out on PC, and with that said, you're painting their exclusives being available on PC as a negative point, but before they came to PC, people like you kept asking for them to come to PC to their dying breath, and there will be more, I can tell you that much, thanks to the extra revenue from PC chads, who also happened to be Xbox players, since Windows is owned by Microsoft.
>1) You get to actually own the games
You actually don't own shit. Imagine buying a physical disk just to download 100 gb update to play lmao. >2) While it doesn't have the same performance as PC, there are no PC that can match PS5 at the price point.
Maybe read the thread before saying fake shit >3) The simplicity of pushing a button and playing the game, no need to update drivers, Windows(LMAO), it's just pure and instant fun.
You sound like a toddler kek. >4) It's less chunky than your average PC, which means that I can carry it with me if I want to.
Who the frick cares? >5) The exclusives
*also on PC
>You actually don't own shit. Imagine buying a physical disk just to download 100 gb update to play lmao.
The game that I play work just fine without needing to download anything. >Maybe read the thread before saying fake shit
Still it changes nothing, I care about games, not the numbers that don't mean anything. >You sound like a toddler kek.
And you start to make even less sense, I guess I was right, and you just came here not to find the answer, but to shit on Sony, which kind of makes you the person that you claim "Snoys" are. >Who the frick cares?
You came here to ask the question, you got your answer and this is how you respond? Wow. Truly, not an Xbot or PCChud. Your platform is superior, enjoy playing Starfield in 30 FPS. >*also on PC
Yes, I think that it's good that PC players will get to experience Sony exclusives, especially if they will help fund their future exclusives.
I bought one because I didn't have a PS4 so I can play a lot of games at once now. And there are some games I'd rather play on PS5 like RE4R because there is no way to make the Dualsense's features work on PC, frick capcom.
PC gayming is for trannies and social morons. I just want to play a game after work, not get on discord to jack off with futashit with a bunch of other homosexuals.
>I just want to play a game after work
I do that on my pc everyday, with 2 monitors and can multitask, and get into games at the same amount of time or faster than consoles.
That argument has always been fricking moronic.
PS5 is the future. Way better performance for a fraction of the price of a PC.
Nothing works on PC. You have to spend hours upon hours installing drivers and tweaking settings and installing malware just to make it to a game's menu screen.
Also, the best games are PS exclusives. There simply is no reason to even consider a PC for gaming.
>want play Elden Ring >remember that I have to pay PS+ >Meanwhile there is a promotion (-30%) on Steam
I legit wonder if I should buy it on PC to be free even thought I'll have to start from 0.
PC games are expensive as shit. I could go buy physical copies of games for $30 on Ebay that still sell at full price on Steam several years down the road. Don't have to be worried about updates and drivers and Steam eating away massive amounts of ram for no reason or be stuck to playing games on a 20 inches monitor on a desk with keyboard and mouse. PC is not and never will be the optimal way to play games.
This. PC games are objectively more expensive than console games. It's proven.
Steam also consumes all your RAM, forcing you to constantly download more.
PCs are also limited to 20 inch 720p monitors. They simply don't support anything bigger.
They also have no support for controllers, forcing you to use keyboard and mouse.
PC is not and never will be the optimal way to play games.
>15 minutes after release >PC gaming experts from reddit discover there's an easy way to users to manipulate the game's system files to utilize keyboards and mice - Kotaku
---------------------------------- >10 minutes after release >A: "Hey gents! I picked discovered this cool hack!" >B: "Bro you didn't discover this there is a thread on Ganker about this right now" >A: "I'M TRANS BTW, STOP TEXT RAPING ME"
---------------------------------- >5 minutes after release >Thread on Ganker >Hey homosexuals all you need to do is change "exclusive_gamepad_input =" from "true" to "false" >impossibru.gif
>PC games are expensive as shit.
You can wait for sale, make $team account in Argentina/Turkey/etc or just pirate. >Steam eating away massive amounts of ram for no reason
True it's bloatware but RAM is cheap as frick, 32GB is less than single AAA gayme. >be stuck to playing games on a 20 inches monitor on a desk with keyboard and mouse
Skill issue, you can just use TV and controller.
You are just coping because you have low IQ.
I already have a PC that's aging but still functionnal to play indie games and be a browsing/multimedia machine, I want to play a few newer games but I don't want to pay at least a 1000 bucks to replace a machine that's still working fine.
Why bother with the current state of pc gaming? Pretty much every pc port sucks nowadays to the point where games basically release in early access. Why would i pay a premium price to have a worse experience? I built my pc in 2016 when ps4 and xbox one were 30fps in all games and had long load times but this time i don‘t see the point. I can‘t think of a game worth playing that didn‘t have a 60fps mode on ps5
First of all I own PS5, Switch and a gaming PC because I'm not poor and I just get the games on whichever plattform I find the game more suitable. Like shooter and strategy games always go on PC.
I do prefer the PS5 for most games because just the community alone. Like for Monster Hunter as an example I prefer the console players way more than the tryhard min-max redditors on PC. Also I heard that Steam has some kind of region lock on Monster Hunter? I haven't touched it on PC in a while but on Switch I 80% of the players I get matched with a japanese and I wouldn't want to miss them.
I really hope the next Monster Hunter gets crossplay ability so I can play with friends regardless of plattform but I would always toggle it off if its an option when I'm just playing with random people online.
Because their moronic and actually believe the marketing, they dont care if theres better and cheaper ways to play, they want a brand named game box, they dont care if can get it cheaper if they just wait, they must have it now.
Imagine the amount of people who would just stop playing on consoles forever if they just realized what they spent their money on, a plastic box with less and less exclusives.
Imagine if Gankerirgins realized that a lot of people simply don‘t want to deal with the bullshit pc gaming comes with when they come home from a long day at work
>start PC >press play >oopsie you need the latest graphics drivers to play this >go to website to download & install them >oopsie, new graphics drivers crash your OS now haha, maybe reinstall them or something?
you playing your game yet?
>start PC >press play >sorry sweetie, we have decided that your OS is 'out of date' now because.....well it just is, ok? Pls buy and install a completely new OS to play your games or just frick off instead haha
etc
nPCels will just respond with "not my pc" like, no, yes your pc dumbass. You're not special just because you have marginally above average tech literacy. If you were, you wouldnt be shitposting on an anime website.
Posts like these always come from morons who've never used a PC for video games but saw a video of a their favorite E-celeb complaining they had to troubleshoot something for 5 minutes that was their own fault and that's too much for them.
It just proves consoles are made for tech illiterate morons with no standards and children.
What bullshit? I know people are fricking mongoloids when it comes to tech alot of time but can you describe to me exactly what about opening the computer and playing video games is the part that hinders you?
I'll give an example you'll understand better. You minmaxed your stats into pointless esoteric things like tech literacy. Way pass the necessary amount mind you, and people like me invested our stats equally. You can open a computer but can you open a girls legs?
I feel like it'll never justify its full existence since it's just the ultra graphics version of the PS4.
Software is the same, if you just move the graphics slider to the left (and code the game to NOT load everything at all times because muh SSD) any PS5 game will be playable on 4
That would be nice if PS5 actually allowed you to use the fricking disc. I bought one for FF16 and I just sat there completely baffled as the disc only functions as a fricking license key now.
I couldn't play until it downloaded the entire ~100 GBs onto the PS5's SSD. What the frick is the point in buying digital if the console forces you to install the game anyway?
Sadly, manuals are completely gone in the last 20 years, only Collectors Editions have some kind of "extra stuff". That's not related to le ps5 is bad it's just a sad reality.
I like owning physical copies and having a cool case for the game, which to me is still way better than owning a game digitally.
I will still buy some game on steam sale that are like 80-90% off, but newly released game I'll always go for physical

I have the same issue with Ghost of Tsushima which I bought the PS5 update for or whatever. It downloads the entire game to my SSD, but I still have to physically put the disc in to play it.

Oh don't get me wrong, I still prefer physical for most games. I just hate that they are moving towards removing all the conveniences of owning physical while still maintaining the drawbacks. It's frustrating.
Playing off the disc is too slow, that's why
Having the disc means the game can't be taken from you arbitrarily like digital, also you can buy and sell discs second hand
graphics
yeah, games still perform better than on pc >>Paid Online
don't pay? >>Less games in general
true I'm so sad i can't play the 500th cone of undertale

So I can't multi ? >true I'm so sad i can't play the 500th cone of undertale
Not only you can't play the 500th clone of Undertale, you also can't play the 100000000 other type of games available >tUI is simple as frick. i think you are getting filtered.
The UI is fricking gay and moronic. You can't even customize most of it >why are you even surfing on the internet with you console in 2010+13. you don't have a smartphone?
I browse with a PC. Browsing on phones is for Black folk >don't care
You should >non of your points make any sense.
They all fricking do though. Congratz on your expensive netflix machine
Most normies don't even own a PC and if they do, it's a shitty laptop that can't run anything. They don't have to, they can do everything they want from their smartphone. So, they just buy a PS5 or whatever the most popular choice is, if they want to play video games.
Imagine pitying people who dont know or care about you instead of actually playing videogames. No matter how you spin it, you're the one's who are sad. The envy of the malcontent. A tale is old as time tbh
Ah, yes, your situation isnt bad at all, right. Delusion. A common coping method. I'm glad things like regional pricing exist. Its like an insurmountable gate that keeps disgusting goblins like you out of most vidya discussion and discourse. If only we could find a way to curve pirating then third worlds rats like you would rope by the billions.
Ooo, scathing. Your silence is deafening. Its crazy how you don't even bother deny being a thirdworld poorgay. I bet I'm not the first ameriCHAD to sus you out, huh? It must maddening to not know how we're figuring you out so easily. Anyway, seethe to your hearts content. I'm done here
You can't mask your envy, poorgay rat. Mutt this, circumcision that. Post receipts for your most recent AAA vidya. Oh and patron tips to that empress troony don't count lol
I bought a PS5 so I could use it as a bluray player and youtube player and so I could play PS4 exclusives because for some reason there's still games on it that aren't on PC or Switch >Valkyria Revolution >Sakura Wars 2019 >Deception IV >Odin Sphere Leifthresir >Dragon's Crown >Gravity Rush >Gravity Rush 2 >inFamous: Second Son >The Last Guardian >Shadow of the Colossus remake
you may ask why I didn't get a PS4 instead
the simple answer is I wanted to be futureproofed for any PS5 exclusives and also be able to run these games at their best
fwiw I also on a PC, Steam Deck, and Switch
Daily reminder that Microsoft fail generation after generation due to the poor quality of the xbox brand and any other company would have been kicked out of the industry by now if it weren't for the endless money that microsoft throws to keep this crap alive
This might be true but have you considered that this could be a thing that snoys could latch onto so don't say it again. This is a snoy hating board so don't give them anything that could be used to make them smug. Nothing worse than a smug snoy.
Look you fricking stupid Black person I will explain this in a way you can understand.
Consolegays buy consoles because gaming on a console is substantially simpler (also far more limited) than gaming on a PC. Consolegays are not constantly looking over their shoulders and wondering, "But is [x game I want to try] ONLY on this console?" I do not speak for all consolegays but I have two (PS5, Switch) and I really don't give a shit that PS5 has few exclusives. If the game is good, I'd be happy if more people found it, not less. I like the PS5 because it plays games well and the load times are stupid levels of fast compared to PS4. And it's $500, whereas most good gaming PCs are going to cost 6 times that.
because people are too stupid to use PC
console is convenient for them because it's pretty much plug and play toy that even a toddler can set up while mainstream media portrayed PC as some hackerman tools used to hack the government facilities
I literally sold my PS5 because Sony insisted on putting all their games on PC.
Dumbest business decision I've ever seen a company make. Exclusives are the only reason to have a console.
>Ghost
Has been rumoured for a long time as well as appearing on multiple leak lists. Will likely happen eventually. >Ragnarok
First game came to PC, you'd be a fool to think the sequel wouldn't. >many others
Like?
Bloodborne, Demon’s Souls, any of their slew of upcoming exclusives, anything put out by Asobi has no PC port, Rise of the Ronin also has no pc port announced
Their current timeframe for pc ports is 3 years after console releases, and when they put it out they’ll still be $70 games where as the console versions will be discounted. And 3 years for PC hardware will mean that these games will likely require hardware upgrades for PC Users by then.
>Why do people still buy
Why do you care? Why does it trouble you so much?
Is feeling superior about others based on what plastic box you play video games on the only thing you got going in your life?
Consoles except for switch and Xbox are very anti consumer. Switch gives you freedom while playing on the go and Xbox lets you play on the platform of your choice
I don't get this either. Exclusives would be a factor if you're looking for a console (Bloodborne, lots of Final Fantasy, etc is only on Playstation, Halo is only on Xbox/PC), but unless you're already a huge fan of one of those games, it's pretty immaterial. Bloodborne, Demon's Souls remake, and now FFXVI would be enough reasons for me to buy a PS5, if I didn't have one already, I'm not really interested in first-person shooters.
Also why does it seem that these threads are all made by the same PC homosexual who seethes 'gaymers' aren't part of the PC master race?
Because Sony is stealing devs which holds back them from favoring PC and optimizing their games for PC which is the most popular platform by sheer volumes
I am just here sitting in awe that people spend this much time arguing over which plastic box is better. This should be the plot of the next Kubrick movie.
You can use a console on a living room easy while PC you need a wireless keyboard which is not as intuitive as a controller. Maybe with the rise of Steam OS and Windows wanting to focus on creating a controller friendly experience things might change.
We're already there. You can use any newish controller you want to on PC, right now. Hell there's probably some free software out there that lets you use your gamecube controller or joystick or whatever the frick you want to use.
There's no reason to own a console.
>Can someone explain where this meme "you can't use controllers on PC" comes from?
It comes from two decades ago where anything that wasn't a wired xbox controller was pretty much a 50/50 shot of working.
Now though? Support for stuff like dualshock controllers is pretty much just as good as the native microsoft stuff. I feel like it's mostly people that haven't used a controller on their PC in 20 years.

You fricktards I ain't taking about playing games with a controller. Of course you can do that and been doing that since the late 90s ever since I built my first PC. Back when you had a game port and had to screw in a controller.
But I ain't taking bout that. I'm taking about navigating the OS with a controller. Even Steam OS is not perfect because whenever you need to go to Desktop mode using the on screen keyboard is a pain in the ass.
>whenever you need to go to Desktop mode using the on screen keyboard is a pain in the ass
Right....because you're on a controller....Using one on PC to navigate an OS will never be "perfect" unless you're pairing it with a voice command system.
I actually have a laptop connected to my TV for games that aren't on PS5/Switch and it's probably my least-played platform just because I hate setting anything up outside of Big Picture mode (usually just forwarding emulated games to appear on Big Picture and setting things up via pcgamingwiki for old games).
You could ask the same question of the Xbox. PS5 at least has timed exclusivity whereas MS releases all of their "exclusives" to both console AND PC day 1.
Not directly. Keeping the install base high on the desktop end means either Windows licenses sold, or at the very least making users comfortable with Windows so they demand it in a work environment, where licenses are definitely sold.
I mean, if you're using Windows they are already making money from that factor alone.
zero arguments. the point is MS can own windows but they are still losing a lot of money in their gaming division. the xbox has the Midas touch of shit.
They can afford to lose money because they make up for it elsewhere. It's like how SE can drop a bomb like Forspoken because they net stupid profit for the year anyway.

>It's like how SE can drop a bomb like Forspoken because they net stupid profit for the year anyway.
SE were hurt by Forspoken. It was a massive failure that affected their financial report and led them to close down a studio.
It doesn't matter at all. It's like Epic wasting millions on their pile of shit store. They're raking in so much from Fortnite that it's a blip.
>It's like Epic wasting millions on their pile of shit store.
Tim sees it as an investment to compete with the top dog that's Steam. Windows has no competition, never had never will. The only competition windows 11 has is windows 10
>the point is MS can own windows but they are still losing a lot of money in their gaming division
But why does this matter to you, the player? This directly benefits you as a player. What you're saying is equivalent to complaining about Steam sales because Steam makes less money. It doesn't make any sense whatsoever.
>But why does this matter to you, the player?
the original point is that me playing on windows benefits MS. it doesn't. they have been losing money for 20 years in the Xbox division with nothing to show for it. it's not an investment it doesn't help windows against the competition. it does nothing.
>the point is MS can own windows but they are still losing a lot of money in their gaming division

I have a legitimate piece of advice for you anon,. just let it go. You don't have to argue about every sin,le thing, peoplee don't need to have their opinions or tastes "corrected". People do things because they want to. Just let it go.
I'm not paying extra for raytracing gimmicks just to wait on broken ports of console games. It just isn't a good time to updrade; it hasn't been been a good time for half a decade, and probably still won't be for several more years.
You guys are so fricking stupid and dense. You are like a bunch of homosexual reptile and insect owning autists trying to bully people with dogs and cats into buying your shitty pets when they never had any interest, and never will.
Because it's easier and more convenient to run games without fricking around with settings and other things like driver issue, stutters, lack of ram/vram etc.
Also consoles are not made to have exclusives only but to play fricking games. Even if it had huge amount of exclusives, you would be crying and port-begging instead of buying it so nothing changes. If you have money and really want maximum fidelity then just go buy pc otherwise bragging about 1500-2000$ worth total pc is more powerful than 500$ console is moronic to say atleast.
I wanted to play FFXVI early and 500 quids isn't a terribly big sum for me.
You are still correct, probably the worst console I've bought, and I owned a Game gear.
When it comes to certain games that's absolutely true but it has nothing to do with the 4090. Plenty of dogshit companies that put out PC games that egregiously underutilize hardware.
Wrong. A PS5 is designed specifically for games, which means it will outperform even the most expensive PCs. PCs are for sending emails, PS5s are for gaming.
So I drop from 165 to 90 briefly. It's nowhere near as jarring as dropping from 30 to 10 on the PS5.

Consoles don't have shader compilation stutter. In most unreal engine games you can't get a stable framerate on PC, you'll always have that stutter no matter the hardware (ue is dogshit).
Normally hate open world games but that game hits different. Also decided to buy it for DD2 and Elden Ring DLC. PSN online community is more chill than PC and no hackers. I can see why others stick to PC though.
They don't, sony pays stores to stock them then makes up sales data
Playstation is just a money laundering front
now that the FTC has had their shit kicked in by the courts the FBI can fo its job and destroy the corrupt bullshit that is snoy
>home media center that's not a ~~*smart*~~ TV >great controller that doesn't have the insane asymmetric Xbox analog stick placement >some of the new games are delayed exclusives >it can still play exclusives from the PS4 >it can also play those games in a higher framerate >also not everybody wants to have a PC in their home, like parents who are too lazy to police what their kids are up to
But ultimately the PS4 does most of these things, so it only makes sense if you're really interested in those handful of new features. Or if you don't have any gaming consoles at home.
people dont care bruv
you cant compare the needs of someone who plays 6 hours a week to someone like you who plays 6 hours a day
imagine if you spent your time socializing instead, maybe you wouldnt be an incel
multiple points here
yes people don't care or else they wouldn't sell so well, people even dump 1k to scalpers when they could get better PC's for the same price
I used to do 6 hours a day when I didn't work or have a family of my own
socializing sucks, it's only fruitful and meaningful within my family >incel
I got a wife and 3 kids all healthy whites thank you very much
Because normalgays don't care about games like you do and are casual gamers. Its that simple, anon.
So long as they can play COD, FIFA + the odd occasional GTA or movie game they are more than happy to pay a few hundred bucks every few years for a console. It's not really a big deal for them.
>Every game on it is also on PC.
Yeah but at a later time, and apparently most normalgays don't like waiting for 6 to 24 months.
People simply don't want gaming on PC

>Returnal, Sackboy and Ratchet & Clank
does ANYBODY care though?
Astro is a pretty good game, to be honest
(confirmed for PC)
I'm still wondering what this is going to be. The CGI trailer seemed interesting enough to catch my attention.
Demon's is top tier, GOT is god tier. Ragnarok shit tier,GT7 low tier
That's a pitiful list of exclusives for a console in its third year.
>why do people buy [any console]
usually because theyre uneducated, massively misinformed about PC gaming, living in circlejerk groups that feed said misinformation, and settle for less instead of demanding more
>Demons souls demake
Demons souls is on PS3 and PC unofficially
>Nioh collection
On PC officially and is significantly better there.

Fricking astro top tier, are snoys down bad?
Take FFXVI and put it in Top Tier.
what a bunch of crap except for FF16 and Stellar Ass.
Final Fantasy XVI joins its inspiration, God of War, in Low Tier.
>Final Fantasy XVI joins its inspiration, God of War, in Low Tier.
my ESL brother in Christ wtf are you saying.
>nioh
>exclusive
Wat?
Lol homie, Nioh1&2, Ghost of Tsu, Horizon, Turismo7, and GoW, are all available on the PS4. It's not even a PC thing. Even Console players literally have no reason to buy a PS5.
Why would you want to play an inferior version?
Lol >inferior
It's the exact same games with the exact same content. In fact for online stuff the PS4 version is downright better due to having a larger playerbase.
with full ps4 backwards compatibility its an okay upgrade for now, in the future im sure there will be more exclusives but even then there is a huge casual playerbase that (at least in europe) favors playstation over xbox
ont everyone is a mega nerd who browses video game fora all day long, some of us just want to relax with a game of fifa after a long day of working or socializing
All miss the point. 6th-gen graphics were the sweetspot between graphical fidelity and acceptable budget
>today the incredibly high production values demanded for vidya (graffix arms race, VA dubs, etc.)
>as a result of the exorbitant costs and sales expectations figures, only AAA dumpster fires backed by big publishers are produced (e.g. movieshit, walking sims, rehashes)
>the alternative is pixelvomit and other nostalgia-desecrating 'indie' cashgrabs (e.g. ugly mixels, ear-raping chiptunes, etc.) that fail to achieve the quality of old vidya. usually these are horribly pozzed
You're a moron.
People got consoles before the turn of the millenium because home computers got shitty ports that sucked since porting actually took effort, and PCs were expensive and became obsolete extremely quickly. Furthermore, consoles were just plug and play, a fact that has long ceased to be true.
Games designed with PC in mind were usually great though.
stop talking about it
i want to gatekeep pc and keep it niche
let normalgays buy their goystations and shitboxes, please
PC is the normalgay platform now because of streamers.
gaming pcs were last "niche" in like 2015
"Gamers" believe that game consoles are "Gamercore"
The idea that games exist in their purest form only on devices that were built specifically for the purpose of playing games seems silly but isn't all that farfetched, but it often comes with a false high of superiority. "My gaming experience is more pure than yours, PCs are for work and consoles are for play," something along the lines of this.
What these people fail to realize is that game consoles' target audience has always been children. They are incredibly limited computers, and while most functioning adults own computers for work and life, gamers don't comprehend the worth or value behind a bonafide personal computer.
Really they just buy consoles because they are simple to use.
>Gaming pcs cost a frick ton more
>borderline unplayble ports and straight up unplayable ports are the norm
You're lying through your teeth if you say pc isn't a frick ton more expensive.
It isn't if you know what you're doing.
10yo PC hardware easily outperforms a PS5.
>10yo PC hardware easily outperforms a PS5.
Don't be fricking moronic.
Cope and seethe, snoy.
The 6700XT has been selling for around that price for the last six months, what the frick are you talking about. You can easily buy one right now.
>Shut up.
Kek. Lmao even.
GN doing shitty biased testing doesn't prove anything.
>consoletards genuinely believe their outdated $500 shitbox is stronger than a $700 PC
lmao
You crying doesn't prove anything
>ONE GAME
>ONE FRAME
I DON'T KNOW WHY
OH NO
When you need to use a low volume card selling for under msrp that wouldn't get restocked at that price if any amount of people seriously bought one instead of a PS5 only to still go over budget you ain't winning any price competition.
uhhh bro your monitor? your mouse and keyboard? mousepad? desk? gaming chair?
uhhh bro your TV? your couch? your carpet? your rent (too poor for a mortgage)?
sorry chud everyone I know has a tv to watch goyflix on.
yes us normal people would already have a tv and couch since we usually like to entertain our guests. we don't need to buy a desk, chair and monitor just for the sole purpose of playing computer games
Oh yeah. No job, so no need for an office.
This. That idiot didn't even know the PS5 comes with a monitor, desk, and gaming chair.
uhhhh bro your rent? your utility bills? your health insurance? your 401K? income taxes? NAMBLA membership fees?
holy shit thanks for reminding me. my NAMBLA card literally expires tomorrow
Kbm is less than $10. Plug pc into tv. There is no argument.
>free games
>no online fee
it's cheaper in the long run and you can play a shit ton more games at any res/framerate you want
if you buy a console, online access and every cod game ever released available on it, its the same price as a PC and one COD game at full price.
this is the most normie of normie cases and is the reason why companies get away with selling remasters of 7 year old games because nobody drags their consoles from 2 gens ago out of the closet to play an old game. there is literally no argument here and you clearly dont have a worthwhile PC to be making the one in the first place
Unbelievably weak bait. Jump off a cliff moron.
Nooooo you must consoom. You must buy GPU twice the price o the console
nPCs are paypigs.
The people who buy this are normies who either don't have a PC (some people only have tablets these days), or there PC is a piece of shit from 10+ years ago and slow as frick because it's riddled with bloatware and viruses and has never been formatted.
they are framerate blind, have low standards, feel trapped in an ecosystem, made it part of their identity, are to lazy, poor, or stupid to build a PC. this goes for xbox as well.
personally playstation hasnt had anything i wanted to play since ps2.
i don't own one but you gotta admit couch gaming is another experience
>PS5 is console.
>PC is not console.
The very fact you compare ps5 with pc instead of xbox and switch is prove that ps5 is best console.
Because it's relatively cheap and one can play games on it.
Because it's backwards compatible to the dozens of PS4 games I have, and gets almost every week game. That's basically the only reason.
Worst console ever
>why do people buy teslas
>why do people buy iphones
>why do people want to move to coastal cities
because it's a status symbol. normies do not give a shit about alternatives. anything else just means you're poor or you're a weirdo
Barring third world pajeets and rheir like budget PCs, how are pcs not a status symbol? You morons choose the least convenient option because muh freedom. Enjoy the shitty ports morons. Devs gave up on you guys awhile ago lmao
Most pc tards have shitty PCs. Not only pajeets. Lmao.
You're a depressed corpse of a man and should consider suicde
to play AAA trash
No idea.
If you bought a console post-360 era you're moronic by default.
Why do people waste money building a PC? It has literally no games
>It has literally all the games
ftfy
name some amazing pc games which I can't play on console
>>It has literally all the games
so does that PS5
List some good non-first person, non-multiplayer PC exclusives
Performance to price ratio is very high. Sony loses money on every PS5 sold. If you're satisfied with lower midrange performance, it makes sense for the price.
>Sony loses money on every PS5 sold.
No they don't. They didn't lose money on the PS4 either, 20+ year old meme.
Wait, so I gave you a source from 2022 (when chips were extremely expensive), and you counter with a source from 2021? Lol.
NTA but you are wrong. Snoy isn't making the same mistake like the PS3 again.
This doesn't account for the future either, PS4s cost nothing to made post 2016/17 and the same will happen for the PS5.
Why do you care? If pc are so great, why aren't you giving it out for free?
Maybe read the thread before saying fake shit
>3) The simplicity of pushing a button and playing the game, no need to update drivers, Windows(LMAO), it's just pure and instant fun.
Pcs are lame shit for losers with no friends.
There simply is no reason to even consider a PC for gaming.
>want play Elden Ring
>remember that I have to pay PS+
>Meanwhile there is a promotion (-30%) on Steam
I legit wonder if I should buy it on PC to be free even thought I'll have to start from 0.
>Every game on it is also on PC.
I don't have a gaming PC.
I dunno, why do people buy Switch? It's a garbage with no exclusives and every game it has is on PC.

How do you sell your steam games once you have completed them?
No idea. Then again people also buy a switch when every game on that is on pc aswell
bought it for FFXVI, FFVII Rebirth and KH4
XVI sucked but 2 to go
I already have a PC that's aging but still functionnal to play indie games and be a browsing/multimedia machine, I want to play a few newer games but I don't want to pay at least a 1000 bucks to replace a machine that's still working fine.
Same. I decided to go with a deck for indie games and emulation and a ps5 for new AAA shit
For the cost of both you could've built a decent PC lol
Why bother with the current state of pc gaming? Pretty much every pc port sucks nowadays to the point where games basically release in early access. Why would i pay a premium price to have a worse experience? I built my pc in 2016 when ps4 and xbox one were 30fps in all games and had long load times but this time i don‘t see the point. I can‘t think of a game worth playing that didn‘t have a 60fps mode on ps5
>Pretty much every pc port sucks nowadays to the point where games basically release in early access
werks on my machine.
Split screen co-op on big TV
Imagine if Gankerirgins realized that a lot of people simply don‘t want to deal with the bullshit pc gaming comes with when they come home from a long day at work
>start PC
>boots in 15 secs
>press play
>???
>profit
What bullshit?
Totally. That's why people can't stop posting about how every new release has various issues that only pc gays experience.
>start PC
>press play
>oopsie you need the latest graphics drivers to play this
>go to website to download & install them
>oopsie, new graphics drivers crash your OS now haha, maybe reinstall them or something?
you playing your game yet?
>start PC
>press play
>sorry sweetie, we have decided that your OS is 'out of date' now because.....well it just is, ok? Pls buy and install a completely new OS to play your games or just frick off instead haha
etc
anyone can tell you have no idea what you are talking about lmao
PC cuck absolutely seething
nPCels will just respond with "not my pc" like, no, yes your pc dumbass. You're not special just because you have marginally above average tech literacy. If you were, you wouldnt be shitposting on an anime website.
I get paid 170K a year as an engineering consultant and work less than 30 hours a week.
I'd say I'm more special than the average tech illiterate joe.
>anime website
Dumb weeb defending consoles.
Checks out.
Wrong.
It's because the switch has no games at all. Exclusive or otherwise.
I feel like it'll never justify its full existence since it's just the ultra graphics version of the PS4.
Software is the same, if you just move the graphics slider to the left (and code the game to NOT load everything at all times because muh SSD) any PS5 game will be playable on 4
why should i give a frick about exclusive games? i bought it because i want to play games and it has everything i want. could say the same about xbox.
>Downgraded graphics
>Paid Online
>Less games in general
>Atrocious UI
>Shit web browsing
>No emulation
Consoles are moronation.
physical > digital
Name one game that you can play with the disc without doing an update of some sort.
what's the problem with updating? you don't have an internet anon?
owning physical copies are pure soul
Name a single PS5 that came with a manual
Sadly, manuals are completely gone in the last 20 years, only Collectors Editions have some kind of "extra stuff". That's not related to le ps5 is bad it's just a sad reality.
I like owning physical copies and having a cool case for the game, which to me is still way better than owning a game digitally.
I will still buy some game on steam sale that are like 80-90% off, but newly released game I'll always go for physical
Because the disc still contains the game’s data even after you install it
It's still bullshit. I should be able to put the disc in and immediately play the game.
Having the disc means the game can't be taken from you arbitrarily like digital, also you can buy and sell discs second hand
graphics
yeah, games still perform better than on pc
>>Paid Online
don't pay?
>>Less games in general
true I'm so sad i can't play the 500th cone of undertale
UI
UI is simple as frick. i think you are getting filtered.
>>Shit web browsing
why are you even surfing on the internet with you console in 2010+13. you don't have a smartphone?
>>No emulation
don't care
>Consoles are moronation.
non of your points make any sense.
Bait too obvious.
>yeah, games still perform better than on pc
Not even close
>don't pay?
So I can't multi ?
>true I'm so sad i can't play the 500th cone of undertale
Not only you can't play the 500th clone of Undertale, you also can't play the 100000000 other type of games available
>tUI is simple as frick. i think you are getting filtered.
The UI is fricking gay and moronic. You can't even customize most of it
>why are you even surfing on the internet with you console in 2010+13. you don't have a smartphone?
I browse with a PC. Browsing on phones is for Black folk
>don't care
You should
>non of your points make any sense.
They all fricking do though. Congratz on your expensive netflix machine
Because normalgays are a plague on every medium and hobby.
>Why do people still buy this garbage with no exclusive games?
So I can own physical copies of the game
Cheaper than PC to play what they really care about.
Yeah its on PC...2 to 5 years later. Most people don't want to wait several extra years to play games that are already out.
Most normies don't even own a PC and if they do, it's a shitty laptop that can't run anything. They don't have to, they can do everything they want from their smartphone. So, they just buy a PS5 or whatever the most popular choice is, if they want to play video games.
Plays ps4 games with literally no loading screens.
To play video games in my bed
>Why do people still buy this garbage with no exclusive games?
For the same reason they lined up to be cattle juiced.
Because i dont need à shity pc i have à life pussy to frick and no time for shity configuration etc chud boot the game play it
>mfw playing games on my PS5 upsets PCgays so much
its more like pity
Imagine pitying people who dont know or care about you instead of actually playing videogames. No matter how you spin it, you're the one's who are sad. The envy of the malcontent. A tale is old as time tbh
most humans feel pity for people in bad situations they dont know, what are you on about
Ah, yes, your situation isnt bad at all, right.
I'm done here
>NO! COMPASSOIN BAD
Infant circumcision really does turn americans into sociopaths, huh.
You can't mask your envy, poorgay rat. Mutt this, circumcision that. Post receipts for your most recent AAA vidya. Oh and patron tips to that empress troony don't count lol
I bought a PS5 so I could use it as a bluray player and youtube player and so I could play PS4 exclusives because for some reason there's still games on it that aren't on PC or Switch
>Valkyria Revolution
>Sakura Wars 2019
>Deception IV
>Odin Sphere Leifthresir
>Dragon's Crown
>Gravity Rush
>Gravity Rush 2
>inFamous: Second Son
>The Last Guardian
>Shadow of the Colossus remake
you may ask why I didn't get a PS4 instead
the simple answer is I wanted to be futureproofed for any PS5 exclusives and also be able to run these games at their best
fwiw I also on a PC, Steam Deck, and Switch
same shit bro
but Odin Sphere and Dragon's Crown are easily playable on PC through vita emulation
yeah but they won't look as pretty due to the Vita's lower res
increasing internal resolution won't help because those assets are all 2d
you assume everyone plays alone and with your habits
Daily reminder that Microsoft fail generation after generation due to the poor quality of the xbox brand and any other company would have been kicked out of the industry by now if it weren't for the endless money that microsoft throws to keep this crap alive
This might be true but have you considered that this could be a thing that snoys could latch onto so don't say it again. This is a snoy hating board so don't give them anything that could be used to make them smug. Nothing worse than a smug snoy.
Why does Sony make you seethe so hard?
Bitter poorgay, most likely. PC gaming is unironically cheaper in thirdworld shitholes, even on th highend compared to console.
i'm still bitter at them for preventing Omega Labyrinth Z from release
i wanted that game ;-;
There’s far better games out like BG3, divinity original sin, Deadfire, and the like if you wanted turn based dungeon crawlers
Idk I have money
NOOOOO
bought it for my gf to play ratchet and clank and for me to play dragons crown
because people are too stupid to use PC
console is convenient for them because it's pretty much plug and play toy that even a toddler can set up while mainstream media portrayed PC as some hackerman tools used to hack the government facilities
I literally sold my PS5 because Sony insisted on putting all their games on PC.
Dumbest business decision I've ever seen a company make. Exclusives are the only reason to have a console.
>put all their games on pc
>Still missing Ghost, Ragnarok, and many others
>Ghost
Has been rumoured for a long time as well as appearing on multiple leak lists. Will likely happen eventually.
>Ragnarok
First game came to PC, you'd be a fool to think the sequel wouldn't.
>many others
Like?
>Has been rumoured for a long time as well as appearing on multiple leak lists. Will likely happen eventually.
hard cope, it's a 2020 game, oldest game on that list, still noithing
Even if you're right and it never appears, that's one game out of dozens that have made it to PC.
No one is buying a PS5 just for Ghost of Sushima.
Because not everyone has 2000+ dollars to spend on video games
>Every game on it is also on PC.
Ah yes let me just buy a 1500 dollar PC and deal with Windows restarting itself every 15 minutes.
How do you develop a superiority complex that deep over fricking consumer electronics?
Because Sony is stealing devs which holds back them from favoring PC and optimizing their games for PC which is the most popular platform by sheer volumes
I am just here sitting in awe that people spend this much time arguing over which plastic box is better. This should be the plot of the next Kubrick movie.
Every game on PC is also on PS5.
Loudest mic drop in history.
funny, but not true. Halo isn't on PS5, for example.
And nothing of value was lost.
>Halo isn't on PS5
That's a plus for the PS5.
Because I didn't own a PS4 Pro yet this was the better option
>Why do people still buy this garbage with no exclusive games?
Popular luxury product.
You hate it because you're poor/contarian.
This was something I was able to do in the early 2000s.
GFW and Vista were big on pushing XInput, and Steam added their shit in the last decade or so.
Most people buy the PS5 just to play FIFA and NHL for a few years. It was the same for PS4.
You could ask the same question of the Xbox. PS5 at least has timed exclusivity whereas MS releases all of their "exclusives" to both console AND PC day 1.
Microsoft owns both platforms. Xbox is merely an afterthought for people who don't have a PC.
>Microsoft owns both platforms.
is MS making money from my playing Diablo on PC?
>is MS making money from my playing Diablo on PC?
Why does this matter?
zero arguments. the point is MS can own windows but they are still losing a lot of money in their gaming division. the xbox has the Midas touch of shit.
>It's like Epic wasting millions on their pile of shit store.
Tim sees it as an investment to compete with the top dog that's Steam. Windows has no competition, never had never will. The only competition windows 11 has is windows 10
>But why does this matter to you, the player?
the original point is that me playing on windows benefits MS. it doesn't. they have been losing money for 20 years in the Xbox division with nothing to show for it. it's not an investment it doesn't help windows against the competition. it does nothing.
It doesn't matter at all. It's like Epic wasting millions on their pile of shit store. They're raking in so much from Fortnite that it's a blip.
You are clinically moronic.
>the point is MS can own windows but they are still losing a lot of money in their gaming division
But why does this matter to you, the player? This directly benefits you as a player. What you're saying is equivalent to complaining about Steam sales because Steam makes less money. It doesn't make any sense whatsoever.
Not directly. Keeping the install base high on the desktop end means either Windows licenses sold, or at the very least making users comfortable with Windows so they demand it in a work environment, where licenses are definitely sold.
I mean, if you're using Windows they are already making money from that factor alone.
ayo i can play games at 32K 6000fps on my PS5
I have a legitimate piece of advice for you anon,. just let it go. You don't have to argue about every sin,le thing, peoplee don't need to have their opinions or tastes "corrected". People do things because they want to. Just let it go.
I'm not paying extra for raytracing gimmicks just to wait on broken ports of console games. It just isn't a good time to updrade; it hasn't been been a good time for half a decade, and probably still won't be for several more years.
>Every game on it is also on PC.
And the PS4. Laughably enough.
They claim it's next gen and still all of its games are on the last gen.
I have a 4090 and my PS5 blows it out of the water in terms of performance.
Ah, just openly lying now.
When it comes to certain games that's absolutely true but it has nothing to do with the 4090. Plenty of dogshit companies that put out PC games that egregiously underutilize hardware.
There is no game that performs better on a PS5 than on a 4090-centric PC.
Wrong. A PS5 is designed specifically for games, which means it will outperform even the most expensive PCs. PCs are for sending emails, PS5s are for gaming.
Ah, I thought you were genuinely delusional. Carry on with your shitpost.
Any game that suffers from shader compilation stutters on PC will provide a better experience on PS5 than on a PC with a 4090, change my mind
So I drop from 165 to 90 briefly. It's nowhere near as jarring as dropping from 30 to 10 on the PS5.
Consoles don't have shader compilation stutter. In most unreal engine games you can't get a stable framerate on PC, you'll always have that stutter no matter the hardware (ue is dogshit).
>t-that doesn't count!
I bought it for Ghost of Tsushima.
Nobody's gonna buy it going forward from now
I have 2 PS5 and 5 Controllers.
Status symbol
>home media center that's not a ~~*smart*~~ TV
>great controller that doesn't have the insane asymmetric Xbox analog stick placement
>some of the new games are delayed exclusives
>it can still play exclusives from the PS4
>it can also play those games in a higher framerate
>also not everybody wants to have a PC in their home, like parents who are too lazy to police what their kids are up to
But ultimately the PS4 does most of these things, so it only makes sense if you're really interested in those handful of new features. Or if you don't have any gaming consoles at home.
>Every game on it is also on PC.
after this acquisition i think sony might actually stop that so people actually have to buy a playstation lmao
I hope they have the common sense to do that and that they fire Jim Ryan
>why do people buy ps5
because people want a box they can hook up immediately to their TV in the living room
Paperweight
Also, a fifa machine
>Why do people still buy this garbage
To play Cawadoody, ofc.
PC gaming is just a hassle.
Better to buy a console and have it last the whole generation.
yeah that works for brainlets
consoles ''just werks'' but 90% of the times you get an inferior experience and performance
people dont care bruv
you cant compare the needs of someone who plays 6 hours a week to someone like you who plays 6 hours a day
imagine if you spent your time socializing instead, maybe you wouldnt be an incel
multiple points here
yes people don't care or else they wouldn't sell so well, people even dump 1k to scalpers when they could get better PC's for the same price
I used to do 6 hours a day when I didn't work or have a family of my own
socializing sucks, it's only fruitful and meaningful within my family
>incel
I got a wife and 3 kids all healthy whites thank you very much
>inferior experience and performance
not so big difference compared to a decade, who cares
>who cares
(Me)
>normal people
>playing on pc
when anons will learn?
So I can say "It has no games" without getting told "you don't even own one"
Because normalgays don't care about games like you do and are casual gamers. Its that simple, anon.
So long as they can play COD, FIFA + the odd occasional GTA or movie game they are more than happy to pay a few hundred bucks every few years for a console. It's not really a big deal for them.
Don't think I can wait the like 1 1/2 to 2 years for FF7: Rebirth.
