They're not allowed in multiplayer battles, though, except for in Gen 5 with the Item Launcher

Pokemon Showdown is the best to play with friends hands down. It makes getting a competitive team much quicker (5 - 25 minutes as opposed to 10 - 15 hours), and you can play randbats with friends.

Randbats require no teambuilding unlike all the other formats. You don't have to master anything besides battling. You get handcrafted Smogon sets to do the hard part for you.

Zacian is broken even compared to other Special Pokemon, so I'm not sure what point you're trying to make.

Smogon actually didn't want to ban Baton Pass. They tried everything they could with multiple limits and bans to keep it balanced enough to be legal. Baton Pass teams just proved to be too powerful, and nothing Smogon did could keep it fair.

The reason you should explain is substitution for the original product (showdown copying pokemons gameplay, include video of showdown gameplay) and usage of copyrighted images to make profit (tournament entries money based on pokemon assets, merchandise etc.)

The reason they haven't done anything yet, is because they can claim ignorance, but the moment they become aware they are forced to take action.
The most Game Freak could actually do to them is make them stop using Pokemon music, names, and sprites/models in their battle simulator. The simulator would still exist, it just wouldn't be as visually appealing. They legally cannot take down a simulator, just like companies can do nothing about emulators. Downloading roms is illegal, but emulators are perfectly, 100% legal, as ruled by an actual court.
Smogon and Showdown have been popular and well known for a decade now. You really think they survived all the DMCAs from Ninty by chance?
