>Has one of the best tracks in the series
>Fits the region and its mythology thematically (you literally ascend to heaven while climbing it)
>Is foreshadowed since the start of the story
>Makes you return to it multiple times to uncover new areas until you find the road to Spear Pillar, kinda like a Metroidvania
>Has a decent challenge
Honestly the only thing Mt. Coronet needed to be perfect would be to add Gible as a secret encounter in some area

repelbait areas are annoying, the tileset inside is boring and repetitive and there's nothing interesting inside of the caves including the pokemon. it just serves as a giant progression block throughout the game, more areas open as you get more badges. it would've been better if it had more optional areas inside/outside that looked more varied, kind of like how you can exit an optional area of union cave and find natu in ruins of alph
fpbp. There's a reason why this comment doesn't have a tree of replies like
; it's because OP couldn't move the goalposts to counter anon's argument.
I'm not the OP and that post has only me replying to it, the way you try to gas it up as if it means anything makes me think you're samegayging.
>I'm not the OP
Sure you're not
>the way you try to gas it up as if it means anything makes me think you're samegayging
Whatever you say bro.
It's in Sinnoh and the resident schizo decided he hates everything in Sinnoh.
no gameplay except walking and clicking A in front of rocks to pass them because of the complete lack of puzzles
dogshit encounter variety
completely fricking linear
it’s great for people who like to circlejerk maps by staring at how complex they look on bulbapedia; dogshit for people who care about actually playing the games.
But you haven't actually said why it's a horrible place that deserves hate, there's just not much depth to it.
>But you haven't actually said why it's a horrible place that deserves hate,
I gave you three reasons.
>no puzzle slowing you down
>no pokemon really keeping you there besides feebas
>straightforward path
So it's just a rather mediocre place, it doesn't do anything actively bad.
Not having gameplay while wasting my time is actively bad.
Don't use the word gameplay like a dumb buzzword. There are still wild encounters, items, trainers, legendaries, and feebas hunting in Coronet.
>There are still wild encounters
That are overly repetitive and pointlessly waste your time.
>items
That you can’t explore to find because the area is linear.
>trainers
That have no difficulty and easily swept by mashing A a few times.
>legendaries
That you can’t explore to find because the area is linear.
It only has gameplay if you think cookie clicker also has gameplay.
Now you're just moving the goalpost to discussing those aspects when at first you said there wasn't any gameplay at all. You aren't even making much sense. How is my time wasted? Where else do I get Nosepass and Probopass in one go? Again you ignore me bringing up Feebas. Your usage of the word explore is also strange and doesn't seem to mean anything because you don't immediately get the orbs for Dialga and Palga.
>It only has gameplay if you think cookie clicker also has gameplay.
Yeah, it does.
>when at first you said there wasn't any gameplay at all
there isn’t
>how is my time wasted
by being interrupted by geodude for the nth time for no reason.
>Where else do I get Nosepass and Probopass in one go
one of the better games in the series.
>Again you ignore me bringing up Feebas.
fishing in tiles one by one is cookie clicker tier gameplay.
> Your usage of the word explore is also strange and doesn't seem to mean anything because you don't immediately get the orbs for Dialga and Palga
A linear path being delayed doesn’t make it not a linear path.
>it does
I’m sorry your standard for what counts as “gameplay” is so low.
Define gameplay.
Play that involves making meaningful decisions rather than mindlessly mashing buttons.
Choosing what upgrades to buy and when falls under that definition.
I don’t do that in Mt Coronet. I guess I overestimated Mt Coronet’s “””gameplay””” and it’s even worse than Cookie Clicker. LMAO
>playing Platinum
>backtracking in Sinnoh to gather berries, check a honey tree, or do whatever
>run into Mt. Coronet
>instantly pause the game and fly over it
that’s why. i do love the snowy areas on top of it though and the music when you’re climbing to spear pillar is great
Because it’s not a hallway
good idea
bad execution
Sinnoh's victory road is way more tedious imo
>Why do people hate this again?
they dont
its the most beloved region/gen
Well I keep mindlessly mashing buttons in Mt Coronet but nothing seems to be happening, at what point do I explore the whole place?
from a worldbuilding perspective it's awesome, I couldn't imagine Sinnoh without it, particularly because of PLA.
I replayed Sinnoh somewhat recently and it's really not as annoying as I remember. It gets bad if you're going for the optional parts but otherwise it's fine.
It made little braindead children in Japan cry.
pure kino
Because the remake was chibishit, and the mountain you posted is actually from mischief makers.
