Why do people pay so much for retro games? You can just emulate them so easily and for free. Paying this much for nostalgia is stupid to me

A game you can't play isn't a game. It's just colored plastic.
They want to physically own the game, it's not just about playing it. There's no other way to explain it, if you don't get it then you don't get it.
>put rom on thumbstick or burn it to a disc
you now physically own it without having to pay the autism tax
My 40 year old autistic brother collects retro games.
I gave him my copy of project justice on the Dreamcast without realising I could sell it to CEX for over £150 and the homosexual won’t give me back the game to sell it off.
Retro collectors are fricking stupid.
He also paid £70 for sonic cd a month after sonic origins released. Forgot to add that.
Why you gotta be anal about it? If he cares more then he was meant to keep it.
He doesn’t like the game. He’s just keeping it because reasons.
Personally I think he’s just trying to find a purpose since our mom died. He was a huge momma’s boy.
Get fricked resellergay
You inadvertently proved that you're stupider than your autismo brother.
I hope he flaunts it in your face when he's 50 and the price has gone even higher. You deserve it for being such a homosexual.
Retro gaming isn't really a hobby for enthusiasts anymore.
You're too old to still be caring about video games
Most of the grifters trying to sell you sonic for $200 are as well.
I'm not denying that. My generation are the biggest babymen imaginable. Spending a months rent on a graded video game (moronic) and a pokemon card (gay and for babies)
Wait... When did the Raidou game start going for so much? That one doesn't even have the Raihou plushie.
The ones with the plushies are almost $400
I bought the one with the plushie a decade ago off Amazon for $63 + tip and never even took it out of the box
>PS2
>retro
Retro is pre 5th gen. Modern is post 5th gen. Glad I could help.
Sorry pal, 7th Gen and below is retro
I have that game, I spent $8 on it.
I remember buying a copy of that in 2010 or 11 because all you homosexuals on here were convinced it would triple in value
Good call. Ty
Been selling my old stuff to these morons on ebay. The prices they pay are ridiculous and I don't care to keep them either way. Thankfully no shipments to Israel yet.
Collecting is the saddest excuse for a hobby there is
poorgay cope
CONSOOOOOOOOOOOOOM
>I'M BROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOKKKKKKKKKKKKKKE
Get job, homo.
I'm not the one wasting $400 (your entire McPaycheck) on worthless Fatlus plushies
Bitch, please. I am salaried and I bought Raidou 2 for $60 new when it came out. Frick off, kid.
Sell it to me for $60 then and buy a $250 copy if you're so rich
No.
I have a retirement fund. What's it like living in your parent's basement?
Every adult with a real job has a retirement fund. Have you ever had sex? Be honest.
More than you have.
So that's a "no" lmao
More than zero equals zero? You need to check your math skills.
So you're what, pushing 40, have terrible taste, and still collect shelf ornaments? Great investments man
the fool is easily separated from his money.
I like playing games on their original hardware.
Emulation just takes something out of the experience for me.
If I have to pay $300 to play a game then that's what I have to do.
Most I've ever paid for a game was $350.
As previously stated, you can just burn the rom onto a blank disk. Spend your money better moron
>you can just burn the rom onto a blank disk
I like owning the game.
Some people collect baseball cards or anime figures, I collect video games.
Having a blank disc with a rom on it wouldn't bring me any satisfaction.
>A Bionicle without the canister is only like 10-15 today
Get dabbed on retro gaming lmao
Because some games were limited release (like ATLUS' games in the early 2000's)
Habitually buying games all their life, but now they buy them to collect instead of play.
It's a cry for help if anything.
