Ps3 consoles had to have ps2 compat removed, while still charging a similar price. Ps4 had overheating problems. Ps5 also has overheating problems.

Not really. A lot of MS's argument was about them still not even having more gaming revenue than Sony even with Activision. Big publishers are going to get exponentially more difficult to purchase for MS. Maybe they could get away with something Bethesda sized (i'm not even sure about that) but definitely nothing bigger than that. Sega would probably be MS's next target it was even outlined as a consideration in emails from the hearing prior to MS even considering buying Activision but it's going to be significantly more of an uphill battle. MS only just squeaked by the UK with this one. I imagine the EU commission, JP commission if a JP publisher, and the FTC will all have a much easier time blocking another one.
