All of Tekken 4's aesthetic choices were perfect. The music, atmosphere, story, look, designs, etc. Even the realistic stage designs were great, and I'd vastly prefer a future entry follow that philosophy over the ADHD shit that's been present since Tekken 6. The problem was the gameplay was a bit of a janky experience, but I wish future games attempted what it did again but with more balance.
Tekken 4 visuals encapsule that neat PS2 era graphics, cool stages, cool music, great feel for combos and punches, kinda sad it was the black sheep of the series.

interesting video, I can see that digital jump feel he's talking about, especially because I only played N64 before jumping into PS2 and my first game was GT3 and Gundam: Journey to Jaburo then shortly after Soul Calibur 2 MGS2 and SH3, pretty nice looking games overall.

Why do they keep making him look younger? His Tekken 4 look was perfect.
What the FRICK happened to make them go from the staple atmospheric slow melody music like Kazuyas theme, Ogre's TT1 theme , or Kings 3 theme to Tekken 7s >WUB WUB WUB WUB 200 BPM DUBSTEP SKRILLEX DIARREHA FARTING TOILET BOWL ACTION CINEMATIC ADRENALINE MUSIC
Thats like 5 years after dubstep died.
I can't think of any games that are commonly said to have a bad soundtrack in the last decade or two, present seems to qualify for "good." But the music in 7 is really grating, I don't see how even wubheads could like it.
I mentioned this in other threads and boards and people were like "T7 music is fine"
I don't know if I'm just suffering from boomer brainrot

Harada has taken a liking to dubstep and is including it in everything
Hopefully 8 will actually have a proper tekken tunes mode on PC
It's in everything now
At least it was that one stage in Tag 2, now every track in 7 has dubstep
The 8 reveal trailer has it too, every song in 8 WILL have dubstep
>Did he have a midlife crisis in 2012
I mean, even if that's case, I don't know why he should be worried considering he still looks like he's in his late 20s despite being 52.
This is such an obnoxiously shitty, reddit-tier take. >OMG LE HECKIN TEKKEN 4 ATMOSPHERE BUUUUUT THE GAMEPLAY WAS SHIT
Shut the frick up, you dumb stupid homosexual. You and all the other idiot redditor dipshits like you. I liked both the aesthetic *and* gameplay of Tekken 4.
I never said the gameplay was shit. In fact, I really like it now. I was one of those guys that grew up with Tekken 3/Tag and thought 4 was too slow. These days I'd vastly prefer something more like it.
Just some random ass Ghost that lived in the Mishima basement who possessed Jinpachi after 70 years of squat lifting the mansion and was too weak to resist
Unironically this. 3S get praised because of its gameplay but as an OG I remember when people boycotted SF3 because of missing world warrior characters and the fact that it is twice more expensive than other arcade games. I remember it cost 2 tokens to play SF3 while Marvel or Tekken cost only 1 token.
I just started playing t7 and i've only fricked around in the practice room, what should I do first
I have a hard time even remembering my launcher inputs
Test
Crest
Something something devil gene

I miss peak Namco.
Blame tourney gays who cussed up a storm about 4s stages
I wish they would go back to realistic body proportions, they followed the trend of making everyone a roided out freak.

Tekken 4's music belonged in a racing game, not a fighter. Garbage compared to Tekken 3.

Did he have a midlife crisis in 2012 and now can't admit that it's shit?

because they plan to keep him around literally forever until the series dies because he's popular
this should be obvious
I fail to see how he doesn't look older than this in T8
What was Jinpachi's power source if the devil gene was only introduced to the bloodline by Heihachi's GF?
Just some random ass Ghost that lived in the Mishima basement who possessed Jinpachi after 70 years of squat lifting the mansion and was too weak to resist
>Tekken 4
>MK 4
>Street Fighter 4
>Soul Calibur
Why is the 4th in the fighting game series always the worst one?
Soul Cailbur 5 is the worse one actually
6*
what about samsho 4
4 is an unlucky number in glorious nippon
But 3s is the worst Street Fighter.

The first Tekken and SF are borderline unplayable by today's standards.
Didnt SF4 save not just Street Fighter but 2D fighting games in general
that's the biggest lie capcom fans ever told
Wrong. Tekken 1 is the worst one. It's such shit that people even tend to forget it exists.
>Street Fighter 4
Street Fighter 1 is objectively the worst.
I'M HERE NOWWWWWWWWWWWW
I’M DOING THE BEEEST I CAN
>Heihachi Mishima
>Is dead
They don't make them like they used to.
What do you mean? he looks old enough in T8. Honestly, all he's missing are some grey hairs.
Seeing as he came back from the dead I don't think it's that relevant that he isn't showing any specific signs of aging anyway.
Why does Harada hate her so much?
Jealous that she's my waifu and he can't have her
Becouse his son more handsome and stronger than him
I just started playing t7 and i've only fricked around in the practice room, what should I do first
I have a hard time even remembering my launcher inputs
So that's where all of Elden Ring's money went
he has the devil gene so he gets younger the more he gets possessed
>Why do they keep making him look younger?
But he looks older in 8's trailer
tekken 4 intro was too good
