I kinda liked the soft edges of gen 2 it was distinct enough where it felt like they had an identity outside of obligation. Gen 3 tried to keep it but it got muddied along the way. Let’s be honest anything past that is fricking clown shoes.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. They need to fix the damn stat system. Giving the player control over stats intead of a random +2 to Speed and +0 to Attack on my Geodude every level up would be great. Naturally playing the game and getting a compotent team do not go hand in hand. As a matter of fact, getting desired stats is such a hassle that most people cheat in tournaments.
