its not a faithful remaster. they handed to to another team and they made up everything rather than make shit higher res.
the best part of demon's souls was the spooky jail area and they fricked up that up pretty bad.

Its not bait moron-kun. The remake's music completely changes the tone of a lot of the boss fights. I also didn't like that they changed the song in Latria. It was much more eerie in the original. I'll keep saying it. I like the remake. It's fine. I just prefer the original.

I even agree with that, theres something about the UI, the sound design and the visuals that doesn`t feel like a souls game and it turns me off. But i have no way of playing the Original right now so I take what I can get and its still pretty fun.

I think it blows the OG out of the water personally, I love the design changes for everything except the fat annoying guys.
Kept running past the key in the prison level cause of the hyper realistic grafix vs. the shiny obvious object in the ps3 original. I played thru them side by side, was very fun and ultimately I prefer the remake for the gameplay changes and stability.
Because it isn't on pc. Ganker was praising it when that trailer that said it was a timed exclusive dropped.

I just beat the original on rpcs3. It surprisingly runs perfectly smooth on just about any machine. You should all try it out, the servers need more online players, not many can fathom a PS3 emulator running 100% even on dated laptops.

The only shit thing about the remake is the soundtrack. However them not adding any new content like weapons and spells just for the sake of fun is another mark against it. Overall 8/10 will buy from the bargain bin
Theres no such thing as an outdated game. A game is good or its bad. Mechanics that suck now sucked then. But to answer your question, its because they ruined the aesthetic. The gameplay is fine. But because the environment is inportant to me, I prefer the original.

Firstly, you're wrong on that front. And even if you weren't, sales don't determine weather something is outdated.
A thing doesn't just stop being good. Nor does it stop being bad. Theres usecases for everything good, and eveerything bad is eventually replaced. But nothing bad was ever good.
The N64's controller was garbage and so was it's hardware so if it is released on any other platform with an actual functional controller that version immediately becomes the better version.
So this way a game can become outdated because the newer version made the older one obsolete.

It's a game that didn't need to be remade in the first place. Sony forced it after From declined and then had an American port dev remake a game they had no business touching in the first place. The morons above that are trying to force console wars are in fact, morons. I own multiple Sony and Nintendo platforms as well as a desktop PC. If you want to play DeS, you either emulate it on PC or buy a PS3. Do not support Bluepoint garbage. The only thing DeS needed was a direct port.
The gameplay and gamefeel and code and mechanics are literally identical. It's the exact same game with a new coat of paint that's shinier but less impactful.
