Bingo. A lot of my work can be likened to data entry so being able to slam out hundreds and hundreds of numbers is beyond helpful. It's the reason why I can only do certain things at work. Literally because I have the setup for it (like extra screens and full sized keyboards).
i use a numberpad when im at work. the only games i cant think of where my tenkeyless was a problem are mechwarrior online for setting the throttle and san andreas for the beaner cars.
You're moving your hand/arm too much when you use the row and you need to press shift to add or multiply. Numpad is more efficient for number crunching because everything is in one place.

>More steps
You press a key and now the right half of the keyboard is a numpad with extra features like easily reachable backspace, ESDF cursor keys, able to type colon for time entry without having to move away from the numpad, etc.
Black folk CANT BUILD THEIR OWN DESKS!
I don't want a wooden piece of shit that gets scuffed up from soldering irons, thermal paste, or other shit. Plus it'd probably STILL come out more expensive than an el cheapo glass desk given the price of lumber.

Yes, thank you for explaining those extra steps. As for ESDF cursor, just use tab or shift+tab. Wtf do you actually need a cursor for, especially one controlled with a keyboard? I imagine it's like playing FPS with an analog stick.

Anonymous
>As for ESDF cursor, just use tab or shift+tab.
Why would I want to do things slower? What if I want to move the text cursor, what if I want to Shift select multiple cells? My hand is right next to all the modifiers to copy and paste as well.
With a normal numpad your left hand is basically useless, you have to move away from the numpad AND homerow to use cursor keys, and backspace is far away from anything you're doing despte it being something you're going to want even when you're using a numpad.
Also try entering times into excel without having a dedicated : key, as in you don't press shift to type ;. Otherwise enjoy having to move BOTH your hands away from the numpad just to hold shift and press the semicolon key just to get a colon.
You are the absolute tip top of moron. You are a moron who makes life harder just to justify being moronic.

Yeah, sure. If you're concerned about not being able to hit colon, that's what your left hand is for. Did you forget why there's a shift key on the right side of the keyboard as well? Which means you keep your right hand on the numpad, and also that your left hand will be able to use keys like backspace, colon, homerow, whatever.
And even if you're keen on using these bullshit features, you get all of those and more with a fullsize. You're not saving that much space with a TKL unless you have a nightstand for a desk.
>Doesn't know how to touch type >Thinks standard numpads are useful when they don't even have backspace or colon
You never did real work with a numpad.
Zoomer here.
I grew up not using the numpad since I never really needed to. For whatever reason I decided to start using the numpad and teach myself, but I still don't use it much.
>Doesn't know how to touch type >Thinks standard numpads are useful when they don't even have backspace or colon
You never did real work with a numpad.
>Thinks standard numpads are useful when they don't even have backspace or colon
This, my typing always goes to a stop whenever I mistype and have to travel over to keyboardland.
If you don't code or use excel a numpad is useless.
Because hardly anyone uses the numpad, get rid of that and you get more space on your desk
i never had to use a numbpad
I use mouse keys to click so my mouse doesn't get the double click problem, so I do use the numpad and before that I used the numpad to type out numbers, it's always been like that
Zoomers grew up on laptops so it's not in their DNA
>scroll lock

why would you use default screenshots? >pause/break

I've definitely noticed women are increasingly becoming more autistic about mechanical keyboards. I guess its because they can take something practical and make it this homosexualy, cutesy shit.
while the extra space taken up can be annoying, since I guess it would be a bit more comfortable to have your mouse closer if you had small arms
but the numpad gets used a lot for a lot of things
and idk how you would function without stuff like arrow keys, page dn/up, del, end, insert
like you have to use them near constantly, far more than you use F keys at least
they are different things anon
for some things you use the number row, for others the numpad
thats why you need both, unless you're some sort of b***h made b***h who can only learn 1 thing
Unbelievably based. This Gen/era of Logitech just oozed soul. I have the g15 myself and just got a G13. I think I'll upgrade to the g19 next. I wish they made keyboards like this still, the LCD and macros really useful, it's a shame they're not continuing them.
based, miss my old orange G15 but it was worn out
got a fancy modular mechanical and I'm always accidentally hitting capslock because the keycap isn't stepped, and I have to put fricking saran wrap on the shift/space stabilizers because the keycaps always want to slip off if you press too far from the center of the key
>access every key from the home row >additional keybinds are better for games >no different to pushing shift
Because a programmable 60% is objectively the best layout unless your IQ is 10.
If you own a TKL, you have fricking brain damage. >Full Size
Whatever, you're too moronic to use a fn key. I can understand it >60%

There is absolutely no reason to own one of these. Why the FRICK would they remove the numpad but keep the nav keys? Nothing lets me know you're a fricking moron more than telling me you have a TKL.
But I have to use Fn + a number to do so? What if I want to do the Shift + Del to delete something without sending it to the recycle bin? I'd have to press Shift + Fn + Number ? That's too much.

100% gay here. Why do you need to use arrow keys and numpad at the same time?
Bro how are you going to play competitive Valorant without an extra 3/4 inch desk space bro? You straight capping. No I have never won a dollar of prize money in my life bro how is that relevant?
It's in my living room as the family/general use PC. It's well worn and slightly tinted yellow from years of oxidation, but it still runs. It still runs.
its purely marketing
somehow over the years it became "good" in peoples heads to have a less functional keyboard
marketing is a powerful thing
just look at DPI using to sell mice
or megapixels used to sell cameras (now phones)
It's way less expensive to make so they can make way more profits that way. They don't even have to mark it down since the hype keeps the price high on something that costs pennies to make compared to more feature rich keyboards from 10-15 years ago.
Full keyboards are fricking expensive lately. It's like 100$ on average for some kind of zoomer light show bullshit. Never cared for a numpad and am currently using a 60% just because it was cheap.
I have this but it's a logitech. On two occasions people have gotten be a new flashy keyboard for christmas/birthday because my current one is so boring but there's no difference aside from being uglier or louder
I've spent thousands on computers, and built my own. And I've never bought a keyboard. I picked up a few office USB keyboards for free around 2010 and have used those since.
>I've spent thousands on computers, and built my own.
Yeah I've spent thousands on one PC build and I've built over 10 easily. I use a mechanical keyboard (full size) and im 34. Frick zoomers. Frick 60% gays. And frick jannies.
Im a milenial and I got a 60% to cut the space my keyboard took up to 25% of what it used to be. I really regret not having arrowkeys.
It takes some getting used too, but its mandatory in some games to use it and if you edit videos its a b***h to not have it sometimes.
Everyone praising 60% are fricking moronic zoomer that play sub 80 IQ games and use only shitty windows an interacting with everything via a web browser.
Function keys are useful in a lot of places, same for print screen which is also the SysRq key, page up/down, home, end, delete.
most people dont even know what the 3 buttons on the top right do >hurr I pressed print screen but it didnt save no pictures of the screen >durr I pressed scroll lock but nothing happened unlike with caps lock
on that note what does sys req do?
>Then press the Fn key and a number to use them.
but why when you can just have all the keys there? 2cm at the empty space between my monitor and keyboard is useless
i use pretty much every key on my keyboard, not really a waste. i've had my mechanical for 10 years now
2 years ago
Anonymous
I use them too, but even with Linux I do not use them often enough to need dedicated keys.
Even on my gaming PC's keyboard it's simple to just push Fn and a number. Never had any issues, even while trying to close shit with Fn+Alt+4 while in VR.
Anonymous
i still don't understand what you gain from having less keys
>on that note what does sys req do?
It's system request, used to talk directly to the kernel, have to use alt + SysRq and the key that does what you want. Mostly used if system is frozen.
>Function keys are useful in a lot of places,
Only if you're on Linux. They're useless on Windows. Besides, all you need to do is press one extra key to use them.
Once you switch to TKL you never go back. When I smashed my old piece of shit Razer keyboard during a fit of rage while playing xcom I bought a glorious TKL and also replaced my keyboard at work with a blue switch, rainbow led, chinesium TKL. Didn't regret it at all. The additional desk space is nice. I can now finally put a pizza box and bottle of cola on there without it feeling cramped.
I use a 60% because I like to have a lot of room for my mouse so I don't have to have super high sensitivity when playing games. I also barely ever use F keys, and when I rarely do need to use them I just have them programmed to FN+number keys. I also have arrows programmed, so don't need those.
I do miss having a numpad though. But for me, getting rid of the room that the numpad and arrow keys took is way worth losing them.
Full size keyboards just look fricking giant to me now after using 75% and 60% for so long.
Button that right clicks and selects "Download image"
Button that hits enter, waits, and then hits Cmd+W to close the tab.
It makes saving porn super easy.
I need a 100% because I use the numpad to type numbers and also for overlay control like Reshade
I also NEED a volume control on the keyboard and I refuse to use one without volume control
Full sized, I've been using them my whole life, its what I like, what feels comfortable.
I've also got big ass bear paws, so those tiny keyboards feel really cramped sometimes.
if they could make an even bigger keyboard that would be nice, like those phones for old nearly blind people where the buttons are like an inch across.
I work in logistics and my keyboard has a numpad mode that is as easy to use as a real numpad, and even has easy to reach backspace, space, common, and most importantly colon key (for entering times in excel which is a fricking NIGHTMARE on a normal numpad).
i still don't understand what you gain from having less keys
You save a ton of space and a ton of money. You're paying nearly $1 per switch, so adding 13 extra keys is $13. Adding the extra 50 keys that a 100% keyboard has when those keys are easily usable with an Fn key is a waste of money and time.
Yes, they don't make deep desks under $1000 anymore now that CRTs are a thing of the past.

It's okay for 3D games and 2D games like Bloodstained where unexpected diagonals aren't a big deal.

No, it's not nice. Don't buy one. The d-pad is fricking awful if you want to play and kind of 2D games that require precision. It has the same "press left/right and get a diagonal" problem the Switch Pro controller does but worse.
It's okay for 3D games and 2D games like Bloodstained where unexpected diagonals aren't a big deal.
And the meds are cause I'm a fake girl, duh.

People are figuring out that layers are often more useful than awkwardly placed keys you rarely use. For the record, none of the above , its split ergonomic - like ErgoDox EZ > Moonlander > pic related Dygma Defy .
not a huge fan of only using those low profile Kailh Choc switches and the layout is a little limited, but its cut down compared to some other split ergos -a little too cut down for gaming I'd think.
are topre switches any good? I've been using cherry blues and I was thinking getting something with more distinct tactile feedback but I don't really care about how audible it is
>make a $200 low profile custom keyboard >it is a hell to use for my work due to the lack of numpad >instead of going back to the old keyboard, or buy a USB numpad >spent another $90 on a custom USB numpad
Am I moronic?
>spend $100 on a nice mechanical keyboard with metal back and all that jazz >craps out after 2 years >switch to a backup $10 keyboard >been going strong for 3 years now with no issues
Why do people say that the reason they use the small keyboards is "having more space on the desk"? What the frick are you keeping on there that you need to cut functionality away from your fricking keyboard in order to get more space?
Do you people live in some 1m x 1m cuckboxes so you need to conserve space?
I don't fricking understand
Coming from a laptop for over 10 years, I had no clue about keyboards when I built my PC. There is nothing special about this model, but it is just the most average/best overall keyboard you can suggest to anybody new to PCs.
I'm thinking for getting another one in case this one dies out on me or for spate parts.
I have the top one and it's enough for vidya and normal computer usage, for work I have a 100% one because of the numpad and some other keys I need to be readily accessible without pressing fn + something. Unless you play MMOs or something that require a lot of keys, 60% are fine.
PC gaming is gay but if top is clearly the best
Who the frick needs a num pad anymore? I’m not a fricking accountant, it serves no purpose to me. Especially if I was playing vidya
TKL is ideal. No need for a number pad in 99% of gaming or even work. The number row is more efficient for typing the occasional number within a sentence.
>No need for a number pad in 99% of gaming or even work
Do you Black folk never have to do your taxes or is my perspective skewed because I know how to actually type on the thing? I'm not some productivity guru, but I've benefited from something as simple as being able to hold some dumbfrick government/bank form with one hand and slap out numbers with the other WAY the frick more than I've looked at my keyboard and thought "God damn do I have a burning need for 3 more inches of empty desk next to my keyboard". It's also just faster and more accurate to use fewer fingers for fewer keys.
Cool Black person so can I. How does that make typing stuff out with one hand right over every key less convenient than reaching all over the keyboard for the same amount of keys?
It's not just taxes, I find myself using it for just about any bullshit that turns up with doctors/governments//banks/authentication codes/generally any sequence of numbers. Those turn up often enough that I think it's strange that people don't at least see the use case. It feels like people are looking at me like a crazy old coot because I'm telling them that physical keyboards are handy for typing words and they're saying "Yeah but why would I care about it being easier to use capitalization, punctuation, symbols, numbers and shit? That almost never happens!"
Yea I use it all the time for entering long strings like phone numbers, CC numbers, serial numbers, etc.
Some games make use of it too, in Alien: Isolation for example you can use it to enter door codes much faster.
Plus you can always rebind them to whatever hotkeys/macros you like. Nothing screams casual like demanding LESS options for keybinds.
literally no game required more than 2kro, rollover is just a marketing tactic to make shit more expensive. ive been gaming on the pc for years, i have never died because of rollover. git gut
I find them a lot more pleasant to type on, especially for extended periods of time, and they're great for fast typing too. The lower travel distance the better
All these gimmick keyboards have been a scam so they can bilk extra money out of morons while giving them less of what they're buying. Wow $200 keyboard with only 40 keys amazing money well spent.
The pure unadulterated kino of using the numpad to enter a code on an in game keypad is worth it alone, and is something zoomers and women will never understand.
Imagine being so much of an effeminate manlet that your shoulders aren't wide enough to comfortably use a 100% keyboard.
Honestly, I feel like most 100%s are too narrow these days.
That's why anyone with a brain that actually spends money on something above basic keyboards would get a split keyboard. Everything else is wanking over useless shit.
I prefer 100%, I like the numpad, but the one I'm using currently is tenkeyless and it's pretty much just because they don't make fullsize in the same variety of colors and everything
The top is exactly my gfs keyboard took some getting used to and I still fat finger alot because it's so small honestly it's usable but it's not built for adults or adult handed people
I like 100%, if I have to type numbers like say a debit card, job application, my adress, or something, it's at least 1.5 times faster to do it on the numpad. It's also good for work stuff.
Tho I assume most people here's pcs are just a glorified gaming box.
Yall small handed homosexuals are focusing on the num pad when the 60% keyboard is made for viet child seamstresses I can press 3 keys at once on accident and can barely ever press just 1 because I can barely roll my finger off the key without hitting that mini marshmallow shit it's TOO SMALL
It's fine for my GIRLFRIEND who has hands that'd make your dick look big
>top
Meme shit for nerds obsessed with minimalism who don't actually do any intensive typing as part of their work OR who do but are willing to sacrifice ergonomics and productivity for style >middle
Acceptable compromise between function and form, good for anyone who doesn't work with numbers a lot. >bottom
The standard layout in all work settings for a reason. Only flaws relate to nitpicking letter placement and possibly ergonomics if you have wrist or joint issues.
I've learned to live without the numpad but I would still like it back if given the choice. Basically you're a desklet cuck if you go for anything less than 100%.
yeah the hate on RGB is getting to the point of satire, I'm pretty sure everyone who genuinely hates it are just left out on the joke and think they're in good company
This is the keyboard I've been using since around 2006/2007, it wasn't recently that I started using the top buttons, I now lower the volume and stop videos/music using that
Can't believe it took me so long to start using it but that's how it goes, now I can't live without it, if I ever get another keyboard it has to have these things
bottom line is that i don't want what i don't use. bet you braindead Black folk don't give a second thought to all the bloat that comes preinstalled on your os or all the add-on programs that come suggested with the one thing you need
I like the classic 100% setup, but my dad uses a cheap compact keyboard. I respect it though because he only does it to make more space on the desk for the cat.
Not all zoomers have the same taste.
Why would anyone want to get rid of the numpad? They feel nice to use.
And the pageup/pagedown/home/end keys are great as well
Tenkeyless still gives you the pgup pgdn etc keys. The only time I ever use the numpad is to play roguelikes and you can easily rebind it
Because hardly anyone uses the numpad, get rid of that and you get more space on your desk
space for what? an empty 10cm between your mouse and keyboard?
numpad is way too useful
>hardly anyone
says who, lmao? it's twice as fast and more intuitive to use than the top row numbers
just because most PC users these days are brain dead tech illiterates does not mean numpad is unnecessary
been using the numpad ever since i got my first shitbox in 2003
If you don't code or use excel a numpad is useless.
People saying they dont use a numpad are pretty much outing themselves as underage and their parents handle their expenses.
>he thinks people can't touch type the numbers
what the frick lmao
You're moving your hand/arm too much when you use the row and you need to press shift to add or multiply. Numpad is more efficient for number crunching because everything is in one place.
>Key doesn't have a Numlock key that turns his keyboard into a numpad with ESDF cursor functionality
NGMI
>adding more steps just to match up with 100% users
>not using the keyboard for navigation
>More steps
You press a key and now the right half of the keyboard is a numpad with extra features like easily reachable backspace, ESDF cursor keys, able to type colon for time entry without having to move away from the numpad, etc.
I don't want a wooden piece of shit that gets scuffed up from soldering irons, thermal paste, or other shit. Plus it'd probably STILL come out more expensive than an el cheapo glass desk given the price of lumber.
I'm twice as old as you buddy. Learn to type.
>learn to type
>says the kid who doesn't know how to use 10 key
put a veneer on it you brainless moron, christ
Yes, thank you for explaining those extra steps. As for ESDF cursor, just use tab or shift+tab. Wtf do you actually need a cursor for, especially one controlled with a keyboard? I imagine it's like playing FPS with an analog stick.
I'm not the one who is trying to defend using a non-programmable, non-hotswappable, prebuilt keyboard.
> trying to defend using a non-programmable, non-hotswappable, prebuilt keyboard
I never said anything about that, you projecting homosexual.
>slower
>You're moving your hand/arm too much when you use the row
how fat are you?
>Doesn't know how to touch type
>Thinks standard numpads are useful when they don't even have backspace or colon
You never did real work with a numpad.

I hope to god the implication here isn't that you hand-enter your tax information or something.
Zoomer here.
I grew up not using the numpad since I never really needed to. For whatever reason I decided to start using the numpad and teach myself, but I still don't use it much.
>Thinks standard numpads are useful when they don't even have backspace or colon
This, my typing always goes to a stop whenever I mistype and have to travel over to keyboardland.
I never use mine outside of work.
i never had to use a numbpad
Only shitty data entry / accounting jobs need that.
I like the numpad but only hotkeys. Other then that they serve 0 purpose to me. Browser doesn't even let me use the numpad to type.
I use mouse keys to click so my mouse doesn't get the double click problem, so I do use the numpad and before that I used the numpad to type out numbers, it's always been like that
Zoomers grew up on laptops so it's not in their DNA

Mechanical 60% shit is now a women thing, and because zoomers are gay they go for it too.
I've definitely noticed women are increasingly becoming more autistic about mechanical keyboards. I guess its because they can take something practical and make it this homosexualy, cutesy shit.
Tenkeyless is best. I haven't used a numpad in vidya since Garry's Mod.
I have that exact keyboard being used to represent 75%
72%
Numpadless is just good, then shit gets weird.
Small homosexual hands
while the extra space taken up can be annoying, since I guess it would be a bit more comfortable to have your mouse closer if you had small arms
but the numpad gets used a lot for a lot of things
and idk how you would function without stuff like arrow keys, page dn/up, del, end, insert
like you have to use them near constantly, far more than you use F keys at least
Only morons use the number row instead of numpad.
they are different things anon

thats why you need both, unless you're some sort of b***h made b***h who can only learn 1 thing

Unbelievably based. This Gen/era of Logitech just oozed soul. I have the g15 myself and just got a G13. I think I'll upgrade to the g19 next. I wish they made keyboards like this still, the LCD and macros really useful, it's a shame they're not continuing them.
based, miss my old orange G15 but it was worn out

>access every key from the home row

Because a programmable 60% is objectively the best layout unless your IQ is 10.

You fricking brain damaged moron. The numpad contains the nav keys.
But I have to use Fn + a number to do so? What if I want to do the Shift + Del to delete something without sending it to the recycle bin? I'd have to press Shift + Fn + Number ? That's too much.
No, you can bind whatever shortcut you want to any 2 keypresses and access it from the home row.
That wasn't my argument and you posted butthurt I still accept your concession.

There is absolutely no reason to own one of these. Why the FRICK would they remove the numpad but keep the nav keys? Nothing lets me know you're a fricking moron more than telling me you have a TKL.
>t. frogBlack person zoomer
Not an argument. I accept your concession.

60% loserboards = my b***h for life
>if you still own a child's desk, get a job and move out.
No, it's better because I can access every function on a keyboard from the home row and have additional macros to speed things up.
>60% loserboards = my b***h for life
I was talking about TKLs you fat moron. I can bind 8 and uparrow to a single keypress if I wanted to you fat moron.

Yes your argument is moronic I agree

No, it's better because I can access every function on a keyboard from the home row and have additional macros to speed things up.

100% gay here. Why do you need to use arrow keys and numpad at the same time?
RPGMaker
>Move out of mommy's house and buy a bigger desk.
No. I don't want to be a wagie
>41% keyboard owner lecturing anyone about being moronic
LOL
Tenkeyless as I don't use the numpad.
100%. Anything else is for gays
I got a tenkeyless keyboard as a gift, immediately bought a numpad to go with it.
What now TKLosers?
where can I get one these?
they're called left hand keyboards
Bro how are you going to play competitive Valorant without an extra 3/4 inch desk space bro? You straight capping. No I have never won a dollar of prize money in my life bro how is that relevant?
I use this for 10 years
>I use this for 10 years
Fricking zoomers. I own and still use this for 22years. That's older than 95% of the people on the board.
I'm 23 so suck a dick
I had that keyboard
It's in my living room as the family/general use PC. It's well worn and slightly tinted yellow from years of oxidation, but it still runs. It still runs.
its purely marketing
somehow over the years it became "good" in peoples heads to have a less functional keyboard
marketing is a powerful thing
just look at DPI using to sell mice
or megapixels used to sell cameras (now phones)
It's way less expensive to make so they can make way more profits that way. They don't even have to mark it down since the hype keeps the price high on something that costs pennies to make compared to more feature rich keyboards from 10-15 years ago.
>not even arrow keys
>muh zOoMeRs
My desk is so small it can only fit a 60% and a large mousepad
75% is great, my desk legitimately only has room for 75% because I have a bulky motor in the middle of my desk.
>because I have a bulky motor in the middle of my desk.
Why do you keep a motor on your desk?
100 is the best, anything below is a meme. Why would you want a keyboard that is LACKING features?
Cheaper
A programmable 60% lets you access every function from the homerow. It's superior in every way to a full size.
65% separate numpad which I rarely use.
Full keyboards are fricking expensive lately. It's like 100$ on average for some kind of zoomer light show bullshit. Never cared for a numpad and am currently using a 60% just because it was cheap.
>homosexual israelites literally charge more for keyboards with less keys where I live
Narrow girly shoulders
How the frick does anyone play roguelikes without a numpad?
Zoomers don't even know what roguelike are
I don’t use the numpad
I don’t use the arrow keys
I don’t use F keys
I don’t use that bullshit above the arrow keys
>I don’t use that bullshit above the arrow keys
Do zoomers really?
Reminder "compact" keyboards are being shilled by corporations to sell a more expensive product with less functionality. Don't fall for the shilling.
for me it's the 80%
how do you alt f4? how do you f11? how do you launch bios
poison spells are a meme
function key turns each number into it's corresponding F and it's conveniently next to alt
>fn key
The one on the right? Who in the right mind uses them? How does it work for bios menu when its before the kb has access to drivers and macros
KB contains MCU that can interpret FN combo and send regular keycode to CPU.
>caps = fn
>alt + fn + 4
or just program fn + c to alt + f4
>what is the fn key
>worst of all worlds
i have used this kb for 10+ years and i probably will use it for 10 more unless it somehow breaks which is unlikely
I have this but it's a logitech. On two occasions people have gotten be a new flashy keyboard for christmas/birthday because my current one is so boring but there's no difference aside from being uglier or louder
I have the exact same one and it out lasted my "high end" gaming keyboard.
100% mainly because I work with numbers and need the numberpad.
I had 60% before the pandemic when I didn't WFH, and got by okay except for RTS games.
I use 120%
i didnt know they made a keyboard for Souls games
what keyboard is that anon?
model m 122 key version
https://www.clickykeyboards.com/product-category/ibm-model-m122-battleship-122-key/
awwww yeah, that's some proper keyboardin'.
The numpad is also the superior way to play most h-games.
I can't imagine using a keyboard without a numpad
well its a good job you can program one into a 60% isn't it :^)
This is going too far
If it's programmable than it's fine. You can do 3 key combo's to make it do anything just as long as you remember stuff like fn+shift+T is pgdn.
Pushing key combos for numbers is too far. It's fine putting buttons that aren't on the home row in macros, but numbers is going too far.
I'm going to be honest
I've spent thousands on computers, and built my own. And I've never bought a keyboard. I picked up a few office USB keyboards for free around 2010 and have used those since.
>I've spent thousands on computers, and built my own.
Yeah I've spent thousands on one PC build and I've built over 10 easily. I use a mechanical keyboard (full size) and im 34. Frick zoomers. Frick 60% gays. And frick jannies.
If you use anything other than 100% or keyboard plus extra numpad, you're unemployed.
>60%
50% is all you need for gaming.
Why does your keyboard have a clit
>his keyboard doesn't
Im a milenial and I got a 60% to cut the space my keyboard took up to 25% of what it used to be. I really regret not having arrowkeys.
It takes some getting used too, but its mandatory in some games to use it and if you edit videos its a b***h to not have it sometimes.
I used to have one of those japanese IBM keyboards
fricking flood washed it away
Everyone praising 60% are fricking moronic zoomer that play sub 80 IQ games and use only shitty windows an interacting with everything via a web browser.
Function keys are useful in a lot of places, same for print screen which is also the SysRq key, page up/down, home, end, delete.
most people dont even know what the 3 buttons on the top right do
>hurr I pressed print screen but it didnt save no pictures of the screen
>durr I pressed scroll lock but nothing happened unlike with caps lock
on that note what does sys req do?
>on that note what does sys req do?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magic_SysRq_key
Then press the Fn key and a number to use them.
>Then press the Fn key and a number to use them.
but why when you can just have all the keys there? 2cm at the empty space between my monitor and keyboard is useless
Switches are like $0.60-$1.20 depending on how high quality they are. You're paying for extra keys you use hardly ever use compared to other keys.
i use pretty much every key on my keyboard, not really a waste. i've had my mechanical for 10 years now
I use them too, but even with Linux I do not use them often enough to need dedicated keys.
Even on my gaming PC's keyboard it's simple to just push Fn and a number. Never had any issues, even while trying to close shit with Fn+Alt+4 while in VR.
i still don't understand what you gain from having less keys
>on that note what does sys req do?
It's system request, used to talk directly to the kernel, have to use alt + SysRq and the key that does what you want. Mostly used if system is frozen.
does it shut down applications that froze?
>Function keys are useful in a lot of places,
Only if you're on Linux. They're useless on Windows. Besides, all you need to do is press one extra key to use them.
It doesn't.
i use function keys every day in multiple applications
>Only if you're on Linux. They're useless on Windows.
It's a good this Programmable 60%'s retain all the functionality of a full size from the home row then isn't it.
And a fricking 2 key keyboard also retain all the functionality of a full keyboard. This argument is moronic.
TKL keyboards are one of the staple troony indicators. Bonus points if the keycaps are replaced with pride colors.
I see way more troony keyboard screenshots with 60% or below than TKL.
100% because i play roguelikes with the numpad
Keyboard with normal borders but without numpad is the best choice.
None, i want a full sized mechanical keyboard without the gaps.
Zoomers need to be exterminated.
What dumb shit should I put on my macro keys?
Button that right clicks and selects "Download image"
Button that hits enter, waits, and then hits Cmd+W to close the tab.
It makes saving porn super easy.
How is more keys not objectively better?
What is the appeal of TKL?
I'm a zoomer and I use pic related, RGB mechanical keyboards are gay and a fricking scam
I need a 100% because I use the numpad to type numbers and also for overlay control like Reshade
I also NEED a volume control on the keyboard and I refuse to use one without volume control
Full sized, I've been using them my whole life, its what I like, what feels comfortable.
I've also got big ass bear paws, so those tiny keyboards feel really cramped sometimes.
if they could make an even bigger keyboard that would be nice, like those phones for old nearly blind people where the buttons are like an inch across.
>american keyboard
>israeli keyboard
>white keyboard
Day #6000000 and vee is still obsessed with compact keyboards
60% i have has remappable keys so there's nothing missing for me
Why do you all have the letters in the wrong order?
Also please give me a fricking compose key.
Why did they stop including it.
100% because I actually do work on spreadsheets and shit
t. accountant
I work in logistics and my keyboard has a numpad mode that is as easy to use as a real numpad, and even has easy to reach backspace, space, common, and most importantly colon key (for entering times in excel which is a fricking NIGHTMARE on a normal numpad).
75% for me, I don't want to have to frick around with multiple layers just to press the function keys.
Been using this and still am to this day. Frick wireless and rgbs.
i only partake in enterprise gaming
>2KRO keyboard
>gaming
You save a ton of space and a ton of money. You're paying nearly $1 per switch, so adding 13 extra keys is $13. Adding the extra 50 keys that a 100% keyboard has when those keys are easily usable with an Fn key is a waste of money and time.
>You save a ton of space
what space though? empty desk space?
Yes. Here's a comparison.
is that a super tiny desk?
Yes, they don't make deep desks under $1000 anymore now that CRTs are a thing of the past.
Pic related, this is how much room I have for my mouse when I try to use the Model M on my gaming PC.
people with small desks should be euthanized
I think you mean people with pre-built keyboards. It's like saying you use a prebuilt gaming rig.
I dunno where my measuring tape is but it can't be more than 3 feet, probably a little bit less than that. My CRT's base stand has to go right to the very edge of the desk to give me any room.
you use a prebuilt desk and there's not enough room on it for all of your garbage.
Yeah because it's a desk. It has one function, to hold shit up. The difference between a prebuilt computer/keyboard and one you build yourself are immense.
you're stuck with a tiny desk that barely contains your ancient, useless crap because you're too much of a moron to use common household tools.
>i'm inept so it's not worth it
you could have just said that instead of making all those other excuses.
My desk is fine. It's only when I use moronic old technology that it runs out of space anon. Did you not see the photos?
I'm not going to spend more to make a shitty looking wooden desk when economies of scale let you get a glass desk for less. Capitalism, you fricking commie.
Yeah, I saw the photos of your garbage covered desk with 2 inches to move your mouse.
>can't look at photos correctly
>can't read posts
You're literally telling me to buy a new desk so I can use a keyboard that has less functionality, so I'm not really surprised you're this low IQ.
>has desk covered with old trash
>cant screw legs into a block of wood
>calling others low iq
This is your (male) brain on estrogen.
>PAY MORE FOR WOOD, VARNISH, SCREWS, AND A DRILL YOU'LL ALL ONLY USE ONCE SO YOU CAN USE FULL SIZED CHEAP MEMBRANE KEYBOARDS
>SCREWS, AND A DRILL YOU'LL ALL ONLY USE ONCE
Jesus Christ, could you be any more of a b***h?
What do you think? He spends his day playing with grimy old crts and taking screenshots of his thinkpad's linux distro while popping estrogen pills.
Incorrect, I spend my time outside in nature, as I am not a degenerate who spends their time seething online all day.
You should find God, anon, you will be much happier when you're not constantly seething.
>now he pretends that he doesn't need 10key because he doesn't use a computer much anyway
>pretends he's an outdoorsman despite not owning or using tools
Fricking lol
>thinks wood is ugly
>oh i love nature heres a picture of some trees
What did zhe mean by this?
Too bad God doesn't allow trannies in his holy domain
I'm sorry to hear you worship a dead israelite on a stick. Maybe in the next life you'll get it right.
My desk is big enough for everything I do though. Why don't you link where I complained anon, since you're so certain I did.
(you). Make a better effort next time.
Black person do you even know what 2KRO means? You press 3 keys and your keyboard doesn't know what to do. Stop being moronic.
>Black person do you even know what 2KRO means? You press 3 keys and your keyboard doesn't know what to do. Stop being moronic.
actual moron, kek
?t=56
When I told you to stop being moronic it was for your own benefit.
>Why don't you link where I complained anon, since you're so certain I did.
moron doesn't even remember his own posts, lmao. Maybe it is for the best that you stay away from power tools. In any case I'm done reading your dumbfrick posts.
>Say full size keyboards are a waste of space
>Show how they're a waste of space
>"complaining"
Really grasping at straws now anon.
You're literally arguing that you should own a bigger desk to use a shittier keyboard.
>>PAY MORE FOR WOOD, VARNISH, SCREWS, AND A DRILL YOU'LL ALL ONLY USE ONCE
>>ONLY USE ONCE
>he only uses a drill once
Black person what?
Have never had a use for a drill outside work. Screwdrivers have always worked fine.
Or I could use a higher quality keyboard that has more functionality without having a bunch of unecessary keys.
Apple has made that expensive since hipsters love the "apple store" look.
These are now considered "luruxy" furniture.
I looked into it at the time because I wanted a big L shape desk, but I wasn't going to drop $500 on wooden tables, that's moronic.
are you just a poorgay that got into the mechanical keyboard meme and and is making excuses for not being able to afford a bigger keyboard?
because all your excuses are poorgay excuses
>Apple has made that expensive
No it isnt. and youre also moving goalposts already. First it would cost $1000 for your set up and now its $500?
I just had a cursory look at amazon again and it would cost less than $200 for a L shape set up with reasonable desk space and some options even had under leg shelves so you can put all your meds there instead of cluttering your desk.
>it would cost less than $200 for a L shape set up with reasonable desk space and some options even had under leg shelves so you can put all your meds there instead of cluttering your desk.
I paid $100 for my desk including shipping. And you're probably forgetting the square table that would be needed to connect the two L shapes, otherwise you end up with an unequal length desk.
I bought this desk like 6 years ago and it's still working fine as a desk. It sounds like you place your self worth in the items you own. That's called "consumerism".
>otherwise you end up with an unequal length desk
Anon you dumb FRICK, do you not know what an L looks like? Look at it. Is one line longer than the other? Thats what the L shape MEANS.
>I paid $100 for my desk including shipping
Im not the one complaining and crying about how little space you have dumbass and how "impossible" it is to get reasonable sapce without paying $1000/$500
Only the cheapest of cheap (sub $100) L shape desk are unequal. Most L shape desks are equal length on both sides.
And again why the FRICK would I want to pay MORE for LESS space (even if there's more depth).
I never complained about not having space, I said full sized keyboards are a waste of space, which they are, no matter what desk you have.
Are you the one calling people a consumers?
$100 for a desk that will last me forever is money well spent. Hope you didn't finance your car anon, I'm sure you'll see return on that "investment".
Why would I want to pay more and do more when I could pay less and not have to do anything more than spray windex?
>Why would I want to pay slightly more for something that's not only better quality, but also suits my needs better instead of suffering with trash because it was cheap?
Wow, I can't think of why someone would do that. You stumped me.
How does it suit my needs better? Because it's wood?
If I cared about consumer shit like "nice materials" I wouldn't have bought a $100 desk. It's a desk, it holds shit up off the ground. I'm not trying to LARP as wealthy person, that's just cringe.
Its larger and can accommodate your shitty old computer equipment and troon meds all at once with room to spare instead of what you posted pictures of while complaining that your desk wasn't deep enough.
>Most L shape desks are equal length on both sides.
>most "L shape" desks are not L shape
Ok moron
cope
>I paid $1000 for my desk
oh so you are just dumb and poorgay because of your poor spending judgement
this is waaaay too niche
also not deep enough? how deep is that one?
Black folk CANT BUILD THEIR OWN DESKS!
Such an intriguing set up. What's up with all these meds? Nice 8bitdo controller btw
>Nice 8bitdo controller btw
No, it's not nice. Don't buy one. The d-pad is fricking awful if you want to play and kind of 2D games that require precision. It has the same "press left/right and get a diagonal" problem the Switch Pro controller does but worse.
It's okay for 3D games and 2D games like Bloodstained where unexpected diagonals aren't a big deal.
And the meds are cause I'm a fake girl, duh.
I know how to use a 10 key, that's why I programmed one into my keyboard. Keep up anon.
By the time I do all that I have an ugly looking wooden desk that probably isn't even level, and cost more than the $100 glass desk I bought.
I also don't do wood working so I'd probably frick up something critical. Not worth it.
>"YOU DON'T NEED 10KEY!"
>adds 10key functionality to TKL keyboard
Yes, you do not need a physical ten key when it is superior to have it as part of the main keyboard close to the homerow where you have access to all your normal function keys, backspace, and the homerow for typing.
You are the absolute tip top of moron. You are a moron who makes life harder just to justify being moronic.
i thought meds were just a meme... are these all actually a part of your daily lives?
Nope, you know you've made it when you get to inject that shit like a junkie once every week or two.
are you in menopause? or is this for the other thing
bruh just move your damn mat a bit more to the right
Holy shit you actually have a bit more space than your moronic brain thinks it has
Or I could just use an objectively superior keyboard layout.
But anon, I have a 10 key programmed into my keyboard. One that has more functionality than what you have on your keyboard. We've been over this.
>going outside
>"outdoorsman"
Holy shit, everyone goes outside, it is not a fricking Indiana Jones adventure to go into the local woods. This is why I am telling you to go outside and find God.
Unless you're ready to spend $250 on a slab of solid wood rather than plywood/particle board, then yes, wood is going to look like shit. Why would I pay more to build a wood desk that looks like shit when a glass L shaped desk can be had for $100.
CAPITALISM, homosexual.
Dumb fricking troony.
seethe
>MY BUTCHER BLOCK IS $250 THAT'S NOT MUCH MONEY
>You are a helpless consumer freak
Yiiiiiiiikes
The most expensive keyboards are all TKL or less anon. Who are you trying to fool here?
> $250 is a lot of money for something that will last many years
I dunno who are you trying to fool
>Yiiiiiiiikes
I can already hear the straining vocal cords when you say shit like that.
God, you people are repulsive.
Watch your tongue, chud.
We have a network of like minded folx who are keeping an eye on you fascists. Wouldn't want your kid to get groomed into transitioning, would you?
🙂
>her
>Yiiiiiiiikes
I spent a small amount of money to create something of decent quality that's functional and will last a lifetime instead of being a helpless consumer and using garbage that doesn't fit my needs.
A wooden desk won't last a lifetime without resurfacing, and it will cost significantly more.
If you aren't a moronic ape a cheap glass desk will last you just as long.
No one cares that you paid $250 for a butcher block just like no one cares I paid $250 for a fully customized keyboard.
>NOOOOOOO I HAVE TO SAND AND RESTAIN SOMETHING SAVE ME IKEAMAN!
Fricking moron lmao.
>unless you're ready to spend $250 on a slab of solid wood
I already have 250 dollars for a butcher block isn't a lot of money and I stained it to match the other furniture in my office. You are a helpless consumer freak and it's hilarious that you have the gaul to lecture anyone about capitalism.
>Or I could just use an objectively superior keyboard layout.
OR you could just have a nice day so you stop wasting my oxygen
keyboard id?
What functionality does that keyboard have that a full sized keyboard does not?
I could break your desk with your keyboard and I could kill you with my keyboard and I want to do both.
maybe don't put your drugs in the desk and you would have more than enough space
you could buy a shelf and put your shit over the monitor
>Yes, they don't make deep desks
homie, just buy two tables, or buy a desk and find a "desk table" with the same height as it and put the table behind it and put your monitor there.
Holy frick are you homies moronic.
In my old dogshit set up I made a battlestation out of 3 identical shitty "table desks" from amazon and a had shit ton of depth to them.
>having a desk
I dont need extra space
there is plenty between my legs and the keyboard is placed diagonally so it just goes up not sideways like a guitar or something
Holy shit top is literally my keyboard, is this really the norm? I didn't know this, damn
t. zoomer
Ok dude
I don't have a lot of space on the desk
>t. not zoomer
i went to best buy and i was amazed at how shitty the kb selection was. nothing but rgb Razer shit.
the based
what in the ever living frick am i looking at
>removing the page and home/end keys
why would you EVER do this
I own a couple of keyboards including a unicomp model m and this is one of the best, saves space while keeping a numpad its pretty good.
Might be a good place to ask, anyone got any recommendations for an ergonomic keyboard? I've been getting wrist pains for years and I've made the swap to an ergonomic mouse but have no idea what to look for in a keyboard.
100%. Compact layouts are for laptops, datacenter monkeys, and homosexuals making poor life decisions.
I like my GMMK Pro.
How do people type numbers as fast without a goddamn numpad? I don't understand what is the appeal of not having one available
with two hands
both your hands are already on the home row anyway
i used 60% but it has arow keys
for me, it's my cucky one 2 mini with kailh box silent pinks
>spend over $100 on a keyboard
>don't even play typing of the dead
whats even the point
>western thotd
overkill is blatantly the worst game in the series
>doesn't even have wpm
ngmi
Why does a board full of jobless NEETs jerk off wage cuck keyboards?
turns out things designed to be used by office drones for 12 hours in a row are incredibly comfy by design and perfectly fit the neet lifestyle
Why are you such a limp wristed homosexual that you think math is icky?
Cause I do chemistry not fatty gay number shit.
>I do chemistry not fatty gay number shit
RPing highschooler.
Chemists need to use math too.
Nah, got my PhD in chemistry, I don't do any of the maths.
RPing highschooler.
Nope.
Yes. No one with a PHD in chemistry doesn't use math. You aren't fooling anyone, child.
Do you have a PhD?
No and neither do you. You are fooling no one.
So you admit to having no idea what you're talking about.
You do not have a PHD.
I do though.
You don't, you are a bad liar.
At least google the topic you RP next time.
Dunno why you're seething so much.
Seething? I'm calling you out for a blatant lie.
The only one lying here is you.
Machines do all the work for me.
You still have to summit reports, you don’t write those by hand. Guys extracting data in the middle of nowhere always carry a separate numpad along their laptops.
When you are doing real math on a computer you are not using the numpad. The numpad is useless for anyone other than excel junkies.
lmao
Just stop digging that hole m8
Anon, you're the one who clearly doesn't know what they're talking about. This is what it looks like when you're doing math on a computer. You can't do this shit with a numpad lmao, unless you want to keep switching between the numpad and homerow, in which case just learn to touch type.
amateur hour comments. somehow i work with someone so low-skilled that he keeps doing this. i hate programming
You two should stop believing whatever shit tv shows display. There’s no hyper exclusive tools designed to perform every task to perfect detail. Nowhere you will find a guy carrying a hyper tech advanced machine that will feed your computer all technical data just by pointing it to X object, material sample.
EDX and XPS analysis does that for me.
>There’s no hyper exclusive tools designed to perform every task to perfect detail.
Yes there is, and anyone doing university or research level mathematics is using it.
Nope. Never did any form of data entry in my entire PhD.
The fact you're seething.
What a dumb thing to say.
You are lying and everyone can tell.
I'm not though.
zzzzzzz
Seething phdlet
What could I possibly be lying about, moron?
Thesis and field work requires you to extract data and process them into graphs, only soon to be lawyers bypass this requirement in general. So yes math is present everywhere. For biology and any related fields, percentages are their sacred tool, and guess how they reach those four-six sub digits’ numbers. Lab percentages are serious matter.
Not the anon you're talking to but when you're doing math in scientific fields that math is done through programming languages like MATLAB and R.
It's not just entering a bunch of numbers like you're using a 4 function calculator, you are literally just programming in a language designed to be focused on mathematical processing.
In gender studies maybe.
How do I into keyboards?
Buy a cheap $15 one on Amazon.
Keyboards are an absolute fricking meme only cared about by manchildren
the numpad is redundant, just like your existence
*micdrop*
People are figuring out that layers are often more useful than awkwardly placed keys you rarely use. For the record, none of the above , its split ergonomic - like ErgoDox EZ > Moonlander > pic related Dygma Defy .
what are some budget options that support QMK?
this is the end, guys
not a huge fan of only using those low profile Kailh Choc switches and the layout is a little limited, but its cut down compared to some other split ergos -a little too cut down for gaming I'd think.
are topre switches any good? I've been using cherry blues and I was thinking getting something with more distinct tactile feedback but I don't really care about how audible it is
>make a $200 low profile custom keyboard
>it is a hell to use for my work due to the lack of numpad
>instead of going back to the old keyboard, or buy a USB numpad
>spent another $90 on a custom USB numpad
Am I moronic?
Yes.
autism
having a numpad is nice.
t. boomer
60% here
I actually started using home/end/pgup/pgdn more because how easy to reach they are. never ever used them on full-size keeb.
>his keyboard doesn't have dedicated media keys
>BUY A BIGGER DESK SO YOU CAN USE A KEYBOARD WITH LESS FEATURES
Why are zoomers like this?
I will never get a numpadless keyboard, because I regularly replay Tony Hawk games
>spend $100 on a nice mechanical keyboard with metal back and all that jazz
>craps out after 2 years
>switch to a backup $10 keyboard
>been going strong for 3 years now with no issues
ESDF > WASD
Just saying
Why do people say that the reason they use the small keyboards is "having more space on the desk"? What the frick are you keeping on there that you need to cut functionality away from your fricking keyboard in order to get more space?
Do you people live in some 1m x 1m cuckboxes so you need to conserve space?
I don't fricking understand
they have to make room for their professional mic for when they start their youtuber career, and dragon dildos and lube take up a lot of space.
still the best
Absolutely based
Coming from a laptop for over 10 years, I had no clue about keyboards when I built my PC. There is nothing special about this model, but it is just the most average/best overall keyboard you can suggest to anybody new to PCs.
I'm thinking for getting another one in case this one dies out on me or for spate parts.
100% because I use the numpad to move around faster.
95% layout are the best
Okay I laughed heartily, thanks anon.
My keyboard is small and compact but it still has the numpad. The only thing it doesn't have are the lock keys which I never used anyways.
Forgot pic
>no printscreen
>no lock keys
Then what is that thing right above your backspace?
Nothing lights up on keyboardtester when I press it so I don't think it actually does anything
60% + separate numpad master race checking in
Zoomers need a small keyboard for their tiny soi hands
>ITT poorgays justify their fullsize memebrane keyboards because they're too poor to buy a high end Japanese numpad
Why does Ganker do this?
I ain't gonna waste another USB port for a numpad.
>here's your keyboard bro
dude what the frick
maximum efficiency typing
Best is an entirely normal keyboard but without the numpad and a dedicated numpad placed on the left instead of the right.
A numpad is essential for high speed shitposting.
533743
*but the top
If you don't need a numpad you're a troony and a poorgay and a consumer and a israelite and a zoomer and don't know how to use computers
TKL is ideal. No need for a number pad in 99% of gaming or even work. The number row is more efficient for typing the occasional number within a sentence.
I gotta enter a frickton of numbers for network consulting
I use a keychron k4 since I need all the keys
I'm sorry to hear that.
I can touch type. I don't need a numpad.
Cool Black person so can I. How does that make typing stuff out with one hand right over every key less convenient than reaching all over the keyboard for the same amount of keys?
why would I be typing with one hand?????????????????????????????
That's your use case? Taxes? An activity you do once a year for 10 minutes at most?
It's not just taxes, I find myself using it for just about any bullshit that turns up with doctors/governments//banks/authentication codes/generally any sequence of numbers. Those turn up often enough that I think it's strange that people don't at least see the use case. It feels like people are looking at me like a crazy old coot because I'm telling them that physical keyboards are handy for typing words and they're saying "Yeah but why would I care about it being easier to use capitalization, punctuation, symbols, numbers and shit? That almost never happens!"
>why would I pause a video? They're all less than 30 seconds anyway
We're on the cusp of "why do you need a keyboard" I swear
Yea I use it all the time for entering long strings like phone numbers, CC numbers, serial numbers, etc.
Some games make use of it too, in Alien: Isolation for example you can use it to enter door codes much faster.
Plus you can always rebind them to whatever hotkeys/macros you like. Nothing screams casual like demanding LESS options for keybinds.
can't you just scan documents with a camera these days?
what is the keyboard at the bottom ?
the best keyboard
>2KRO
>Not even 3KRO
It was the best keyboard until modern mechanicals came out.
>he thinks n key rollover is a new thing
the literal previous model F had n key rollover with capacative buckling springs
Yeah okey but every Model M is 2KRO, which is basically unusable for gaming.
literally no game required more than 2kro, rollover is just a marketing tactic to make shit more expensive. ive been gaming on the pc for years, i have never died because of rollover. git gut
>Crouch while moving diagonally
>Ctrl + W + S
>BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP
I've used a Model M for gaming, 2KRO is not enough.
today on shit that never happened
also
>not having crouch bound to shift
the frick you doing Black person
> Silver badge
Reporting in. Still the best. Got mine in 1990.
I'm a minimalist so I just use the on screen keyboard
why must everything gayman have to have those shitty leds
Just don't purchase a gayming keyboard then.
gayming anything
even my GPU that otherwise looks like a plain rectangle has that shit, it's fricking ridiculous
by turning on the lights like a normal human being
The only lights my PC produces is a faint yellow light inside and a single blue circle on the front.
My cheap ass mouse is moronic and glows red and blue tho.
>he doesn't have the lights turned off and shutters down 24/7
you don't seem like a real gamer my friend
>like a normal hunan being
Are you lost? Do you have any fricking clue where you are right now?
On keyboards it makes sense. How else are you supposed to see which key you are pressing in the dark?
I'm more of a middle person. I would buy a mechanical keyboard to see how comfortable it is to use for rhythm games.
This is why.
There's no excuse. If you use fullsize over 75% you're either low IQ or a poorgay.
or maybe im just not a troony and want to be able to use the numpad?
The only people who want the numpad are trannies, since they don't know how to type on anything but a phone.
but phones literally dont have numpads, this is a weird troony cope
75% is objectively the best
Wow It's like I'm really on Ganker
Not enough trannies for that
who else /chiclet/ here
>same key surface area
>shit profile designed for laptops
What's the point
they feel nicer to type on for some people
no they don't. low profile keys were a compromise for laptops. they aren't meant to be used all the time.
I find them a lot more pleasant to type on, especially for extended periods of time, and they're great for fast typing too. The lower travel distance the better
short throw, clickiness
75% with a numpad is the way to go
why not all of them?
i like all keyboards 🙂
What do you do with your knob aside from volume adjustment?
All these gimmick keyboards have been a scam so they can bilk extra money out of morons while giving them less of what they're buying. Wow $200 keyboard with only 40 keys amazing money well spent.
Any Toprechads?? I use a FC660C
500%
75% is easily the best, if you can't master something as easy as the number row you must have a disability
>download mod
>instructions say press 5 to bring up the mod menu
>press 5, nothing happens
my keeb
I thought about getting one of these but I cant imagine using the extra buttons. love the left numpad though
i mean if it were between picking the gay light-up 100% one and the normal, non-gay 75%, i'm picking that 75%.
The top is exactly my gfs keyboard took some getting used to and I still fat finger alot because it's so small honestly it's usable but it's not built for adults or adult handed people
100% because I'm left handed.
they should make keyboards with the arrow keys on the left hand side. just sayin
60% sounds a bit much, removes actual keys i use
75% is where it's at
They don't play flight or mech sims
60%ers are literally brain dead
zoomer here I like the big type keyboards with most buttons
Only requirement is backlit keyboard so you could actually see what you are typing at night
Make things adjust to you, not the other way around.
I like 100%, if I have to type numbers like say a debit card, job application, my adress, or something, it's at least 1.5 times faster to do it on the numpad. It's also good for work stuff.
Tho I assume most people here's pcs are just a glorified gaming box.
It's 2x faster using both hands touch typing on num keys
what's your address?
It's a normal address, but I've hit the zip code on the num pad so many times it's just instant.
alot of normies/boomers feel so insecure about not having a numpad, its pretty hilarious
100%, why the frick would I buy only 60% of something. That's some next level cuck shit.
It's fine for my GIRLFRIEND who has hands that'd make your dick look big
>top
Meme shit for nerds obsessed with minimalism who don't actually do any intensive typing as part of their work OR who do but are willing to sacrifice ergonomics and productivity for style
>middle
Acceptable compromise between function and form, good for anyone who doesn't work with numbers a lot.
>bottom
The standard layout in all work settings for a reason. Only flaws relate to nitpicking letter placement and possibly ergonomics if you have wrist or joint issues.
I've learned to live without the numpad but I would still like it back if given the choice. Basically you're a desklet cuck if you go for anything less than 100%.
Wow look at the pretty colors :O
I got pic related recently specifically because Ganker hates it, it's awesome
b a s e d
yeah the hate on RGB is getting to the point of satire, I'm pretty sure everyone who genuinely hates it are just left out on the joke and think they're in good company
https://media.icdn.hu/product/GalleryMod/2009-05/3896/resp/27078_genius_kb_12e.webp
100% of course, i'm not some cuckhomosexual
