Why does Ganker hate the Far Cry franchise? While praising shit like Dying Light? I find it to be pretty competent. It's not going to change your life like MGS, but it's a very competent franchise.

Because you can't join Joseph Seed. Hell, he should've been the MC.

thanks for wasting my time
Where are the buzzwords in my thread?
>It's not going to change your life like MGS
There’s so many things wrong with this post but what the frick is this
MGS and Jojo have heavily impacted my sense of aesthetics
And I am not ashamed of admitting it. These franchises are so fricking cool.
Because Ubishit just keeps making FC3 over and over again
Is far cry 5 worth playing? I wanted to buy it on sale but since i didn't enjoy far cry 3 and blood dragon all that much, i hesitated.
FC5 is easily the best one in the series, it brings back the best of each Far Cry. But if you dislike FC3 maybe it's not for you. Ultimately it's still a FPS theme park.
I like fpss, but far cry 3 and blood dragon became quite stale at the mid/end part of the game with all the upgrades and low enemy variety. So it jusy became a mindless point and shoot
FC5 has way more activities to do but it'll still get stale by the end.
It's...more Far Cry 3. It's a lot less aggressively linear (you are given free reign to tackle the 3 major regions in any order), they cut down on the tower climbing, and the story + characters remain surprisingly good for this type of game, but it's still Far Cry 3 with a different coat of paint
It’s worth playing but not worth finishing. The American rural countryside feels nice and looks nice and is comfy, and the combat is extremely standard so you probably won’t have any complaints, but the missions aren’t fantastic. If you can get it for under 20 you’ll be good.
far cry 2 > primal = far cry 3 > the rest.
accurate
primal really is underrated. The open world and animals are much more engaging and interesting compared to the rest
oh yes, absolutely loved Primal.
in terms of villains I felt for the Udam leader. His whole tribe suffering from kuru and they don't know how to fix it so they hunt your people out of superstitious necessity
the leader of the Izila a c**t and deserved everything that was coming to her
>what if we made farcry 3 again but with microtransactions?
>also lets force them to use our abomination of a launcher to play the game.
>Why don't people like the new farcry?
A mystery.
far cry 5 was pretty gud. I didn't enjoy far cry 4 though
Because they all start unique and then just feel so boring and samey after awhile.
was he really talking to God
no and he admitted as such in the expansion- completely admits he was wrong in tears after his son goes batshit and does exactly the shit he was doing- gives you an apple and you mutate and have a fist fight with his now Mutant Yeti son
FC5 wouldve been the best if it didnt cutscene kidnap you forcefully while playing the game
>Finish sidequest
>"damn this is pretty cool"
>Sleep Dart to the neck while doing 90 on the highway
>repeat this process ad nauseum for 12 hours until the game is over and there are no roaming enemies in postgame anymore because each sector is "cleared"
Yes, he just interpreted some things wrong
I don't know why but Far Cry 3 on the SeX sounds like shit, the classic edition did as well. I don't remember it being that bad on the 360/PS3. I wanted to replay the game but the audio is unbearable.
I just finished 360 version on Series S a couple weeks ago and it was average for the time aside from the roaming npc dialogue. I dont remember anything being terribly out of place on the Classic Edition.
The only issue is the audio. On the classic edition and on the 360 version it is awful, I don't remember it being like that when I played it on the 360.
Farcry 1 was fun but it loses the plot halfway through. It's a shame they didn't bring back the makeshift traps in later games.
Farcry 2 was fun and full of technology but it hard crashed at the exact same place every single time I played it across two platforms so I never finished it.
Farcry 3 was good when it came out, it being essentially remade over and over makes going back way less fun.
Primal was clearly a B team game but still pretty fun and an interesting direction to take
4 was just 3 again with pajeets. Good villain is about the only positive thing I have to say about it.
5 was similar but at least the story and atmosphere was great
The dlc for 5 is dogshit even for ubisofts standards
It’s shit. In 5 you have a random encounter. As you bend down to loot your ass is immediately caught on fire as ANOTHER FRICKING RANDOM ENCOUNTER of hillbillies, 10 in a fricking truck and another 5 seemingly on foot with flamethrowers.
This is what I disliked the most about 5, you can't just go and drive around and listen to music, every fricking 10 meters they spawn a cultist at you.
I'll tell you the sole reason that I hate far cry. It's because any time I've ever tried to play it on any console I've been met with some "unable to connect to ubisoft network" error.
The "fixes" listed online are few and far between vague suggestions like resetting your router or something
5 plainly doesn't feel good to play. Your character's collision box is absolutely fricking massive along with the collision box of every other NPC in the game. Gunplay feels so mechanical that it may as well have -hitpoint numbers ticking off every time you shoot something, or else you'd never know that you fricking hit anything. It's a fricking terrible FPS experience in general and I'd rather go dust off a game like F.E.A.R. than waste my time playing it. Far Cry is dead.
Cyberpunk2077 was just a farcry clone
Okay Ganker, let's settle this. Who was the best Far Cry antagonist?
the Jackal. His actual plan is to save the civilians and let the idiots fighting kill eachother without collateral damage
5 is good gun. 6 is maximum overhomosexualry.
dunno but i think far cry makes good villains. vaas, obviously is iconic, i liked 4s "villain" more than the good guys, havent really played 5 but joseph sneed looks cool and seems charismatic and like a fun villain i also need glasses like that. also, i believe the game had a hot barefoot villainess so thats always a big plus.
6 was complete trash, but I liked 5. Even New Dawn was pretty good
Only 2 was ok. Massive downgrades. Judaism.
>Far Cry Instincts: Never even touched it, and don't plan in playing it, it looks generic.
>Far Cry 2: Difficult but rewarding, unique mechanics for its time and interesting setting, however the story isn't as strong but the replay value is higher than any other FC game, so it's a passing entry.
>Far Cry 3: Great characters, decent setting, repetitive and often boring side content, fun overall though, one of the better entries.
>Far Cry Blood Dragon: Creative but the whole "muh 80s" theme that it banks on gets tiring after a bit, it's okay for a spin off though and it didn't cost much.
>Far Cry 4: Main villain and a few characters are interesting, setting is passable but gets boring, horrific and very repetitive side content, two of the endings aren't very good, the dlc war boring too, probably one of the worse entries.
>Far Cry Primal: Plagued by many of the same issues as Far Cry 4, although it does have an interesting and mostly accurate setting to its era, the activites and even the main quest get repetitive. Having to walk everywhere until you learn to ride animals is also annoying and drags the game out. Not a great entry.
>Far Cry 5: probably one of my favorite entries in the series, little to no repeat content (like the towers), fun and not repetitive side content such as fishing and mini quests with the companion characters that they added which spice things up, fantastic setting and a good story/villain as well. The DLC for Far Cry 5 is repetitive dogshit though, absolutely terrible.
>Far Cry New Dawn: As an asset flip game like Primal and Blood Dragon it is very similar, it was actually a step back from FC5 and contains repetitive content as well as really shitty villains who aren't interesting, I didn't care for any of thr characters save for those that appeared in FC5. It was good to see the story of 5 conclude but overall not a great game. Probably one of the lowest quality on my list.
>Far Cry 6: Own it but haven't played it yet.
>hasnt played OG or Instincts:Predator
missing out on some real sovl
it's literally the same game 6 times in a row
yeah jerking off the mgs3 posters really changed my life
