I've only played Kingmaker so far (waiting on last wotr update) and while the writing wasn't anything special it takes a fat steamy dump on BG3's writing.
Also this is the path where you get a meta joke about accepting help from an order of Dragon Disciple Paladin Eldritch Knight Bards. If you wanted good writing you should have gone Angel.
Kingmaker is WAY different than WotR. The writing in Kingmaker was immaculate, literally EVERYTHING comes together in the end. No element was wasted. Wrath's writing is shit compared to Kingmaker.

There's an update at the end of this month but I have no idea if it's the last one.

Without Tactics and Ascension no one would even remember this turd that has no roleplaying depth since none of your character building decisions influence anything outside of combat with the sole exception of stronghold. Heck, even at the time of its release it was never considered as a game with good roleplaying depth since Fallout with its myriad skillchecks had already been released and BG1-2 were ALREADY obsolete as RPGs since they had no skillchecks.

Yes I do like Pathfinder, I have also played BG3. I was very disappointed. Act 1 is fun but after the goblin camp everything falls apart. Act 2 felt wide but empty. Act 3 felt like a cluttered mess, where Swen ate taco bell the night before and unleashed all hell from his bowel. It was even confirmed before the magical mirror that people were constantly rerolling to change their character, or that people are constantly making new characters for new classes. If a game isn't good from beginning to end it simply isn't a good game.
