Shit class appealing to first timers wanting to play on easy mode, they never bother to learn the mechanics everyone else are beholden to. Their shit pets pull extra packs because of poor pathing. They taunt off tanks because they're too stupid to manage their pet auto casts, they multi shot polymorph targets. They need on all kinds of gear across close to every weapon type and two armor types. The class does subpar dps even in optimal scenarios, yet feel entitled to getting prio on bis items
this. it's the class for people who want to breeze through world content. wouldn't be half as bad if they didn't feel compelled to join group content and mess up EVERY FRICKING PULL DESPITE ME COACHING THEM ON HOW TO PLAY THEIR OWN CLASS
troll shamans and forsaken rogues/warlocks are close competitors for the same spot
>Subpar dps
Hunters do some of the most consistent and best DPS right out of Pre-raid BIS and trail off with AQ40 gear. Inb4 muh reckless fully world buffed golemagg parse says otherwise. It was tail end of WoW classic that hunters benefited from AP on world buffs
I feel like Feral dps players never pulled this shit. They all knew their dps was trash without pummeler farming and were just happy to be there at all. I played feral, mostly tanking, and I still ended up with a pretty good dps set eventually just from drops nobody else wanted.
Feral tanks could be like this sometimes but at least they were actually tanks and had could actually use the gear for the benefit of others.
This game used to have so many ways you could frick up your job by being ignorant of mechanics, a pity they idiot proofed it into being a bland boring paste of meh.
Rogues while not that complicated actually have to think about their positioning to not frick shit up for their group. Well at least when vanish was on cd.
Hunter is literally just stand still and shoot 90% of the time
It's this weird class that's simultaneously really easy to play while soloing while being really hard to master in the endgame. Most hunters are carried by their pet until they are forced to interact with others in dungeons and that's when things start to fall apart.
As a tank on hardcore I refuse to group with hunters
>get invited to a group >see hunter >say I'm not tanking for a hunter and ask group to kick him >healer says the hunter's his brother and I leave the group >get invited to another group within seconds to do dungeon, group's full in 5 minutes >30 minutes later and see the huntard's group wipe in my deathlog addon
>How come every huntard ninjapulls half of gnomeregan with his shitty pet but the same shit never occurs to a warlock?
Melee pet goes near the edge where mobs have direct line of site to it. If the pet level is not high enough (at least 6 leve above the monster) it results in agroo.
Don't warlocks just switch to imp in a dungeon? Is it even possible to pull mobs with an imp?
Don't warlocks just switch to imp in a dungeon? Is it even possible to pull mobs with an imp?
Imp is better than the others summons for dps. It will pull if run out of mana and start melee attacking.
Warlocks are using either imp or succubus in dungeons 99% of the time.
Imps can phase out and are untargetable, succubus has invis which prevents a lot of accidents too
because locks use the imp in dungeons for +stamina. Imps also have phase shift that prevents them from pulling aggro. Also huntards are mindbroken by fake death. They cannot conceive that not everyone can just instantly escape a frickup
Warlock pets can't hold aggro for shit unless you wanted to kill things extra slow, so most warlocks learned about how to manage their agro, kite and use crowd control while playing solo.
Hunters never needed to learn anything but feign death and have pet auto growl. Hell a lot of them never even ranked up their pets abilities as it leveled.
The average hunter player was never compelled to learn anything until they wanted a raid spot and by then every guild already had 2 good hunters that knew what they were doing already and 10 other trash hunters waiting for their turn.
My point is more that the warlock class forced players to engage in learning their class in solo play. So by the time they were doing late game dungeons they were more likely to be on top of pet micro, (on the rare occasion they used a succ instead of the imp for more crowd control).
Hunters were not forced to really engage in all their mechanics in the leveling stage
Saying that I still remember a couple of warlocks leaving their imps phase shift not on autocast for some moronic reason and fricking shit up sometimes.
>Hunters are people too.
that's precisely the problem. remember: every weapon is a HUNTER weapon, even though melee weapons are just a stat bonus for them.
Some huntard stole the axe that drops from the last boss on BRD on the first week of the original classic. So let me say it again FRICK HUNTERS. >hur-dur its a hunter weapon
I was an orc and it was the first fricking week that would have been an amazing upgrade for farming and pvp.
I had the highest dkp when Garr's binding dropped on our first kill in vanilla. We only knew it was for some kind of sword so I passed it to our main tank. It was the worst decision I ever made because the fricker left to another guild as soon as he got TF. The guild had even bought all the arcanite for him.

Literally had some clown hunter say this 5 mins into a SM run once, and we were playing alliance.
He was just a fill in random dps for a mostly guildmember run so we immediately kicked his ass.
Seriously how fricking hard is it to buy ammo before you spend 25 mins getting to the dungeon? I never had a problem when I played hunter.
They think all gear drops is tailored to them so they roll on it, especially melee weapons and leather, which pisses off warriors and rogues especially.
Bad hunters in a group are catastrophic to have. They don't pay attention to their pets. They pull aggro easily despite having feign death. Even if the hunter is good, a mage/warlock is just a better ranged dps to have 99% of the time.
Also you only needed maybe 2 good hunters for an entire raid group.
The novelty wears out in like a week. I bought game time for hardcore, played for a month, now I literally have another month of it and I can't force myself to play because I've already played through all that shit so many times
>pet and their skills are so OP for soloing content most hunters never bother to actually learn to play, they can just melee everything togethr with their pet >morons often go into a dungeon without extra ammo, and either realize it too late and end up meleeing the final boss, or are useless for clearing trash >pet is taunting which fricks with the tank's ability to manage >they want the best melee weapons even though they're just statsticks

Sounds like a (You) problem tbh
Typical hunter mentality
all kino
I'm feeling genuinely called out right now, tbh, and I haven't even played a hunter for 15 years.

I haven't played wow since 2009 but that's exactly how I perceived hunters back then. As a Feral druid I hated them.
I feel like Feral dps players never pulled this shit. They all knew their dps was trash without pummeler farming and were just happy to be there at all. I played feral, mostly tanking, and I still ended up with a pretty good dps set eventually just from drops nobody else wanted.

you mostly feral if you want to offtank, otherwise you skip on a bunch of useful class features
This game used to have so many ways you could frick up your job by being ignorant of mechanics, a pity they idiot proofed it into being a bland boring paste of meh.
rogue was far easier to play
Rogues while not that complicated actually have to think about their positioning to not frick shit up for their group. Well at least when vanish was on cd.

Who cares? WoW is shit.
I'll show you shit
Cus its somehow both the normie class and also the schizo loner class at the same time
It was considered as the easy mode back then
Real men are playing human male warrior and nothing else.
As a tank on hardcore I refuse to group with hunters

>not finding a group of cute discord troons to lead and out-alpha the loudest c**t by forcing him to offtank
also instead of being miserable about it, be passive aggressive cause 90% of the time they're too autistic to clock you're not being genuine
How come every huntard ninjapulls half of gnomeregan with his shitty pet but the same shit never occurs to a warlock?
What's the problem? Just feign death.
>wipe group
>feign death just before you also die
>hearth out saying "sorry guys"
Absolute hunterkino
This is literally me
Don't warlocks just switch to imp in a dungeon? Is it even possible to pull mobs with an imp?

right click
cancel pet
resummon again
Hunterds can do the same but they never do for some reason
Hunters have a dedicated ability to dismiss their pet which has both a cast time and requires LoS for some reason.

I mean pets pulling in extra mobs because of pathing, not stealing aggro

is that Trunks from DBZ Abridged?
Half of hunters in classic never bothered to learn controlling their pets.

It's just butthurt Warriors always complaining about their leveling experience.

the amount of NE hunters named some version of legolas was insane. And they were all shit

more like one day. You don't miss WoW, you miss times when the world was smaller and simpler.
Giving money to Blizzard is not worth it.

I chose Hunter because gun, didn't even know about the sick ass pets until later
I got the vanilla shakes yesterday bros..
bad hunters are bad but good hunters can be pretty great
t. decent hunter
