People who got into bethesda games because of oblivion or skyrim are so weird. Those are the worst games and fallout 3, fallout 4 and even fallout 76 after they fixed it are better. The worst part is that between oblivion and skyrim they make the same mistakes with elder scrolls that they dont seem to make with fallout, oddly enough, such as barter system mechanics.
This isnt a personal taste thing, the combat in elder scrolls is not as good as fallout because melee in their engine doenst work as well as shooting. The barter system in oblivion and skyrim are both bad compared to fallout, objectively speaking, not an opinion, because you cant even technically barter in oblivion/skyrim you sell 1 item at a time and buy 1 item at a time, which causes obvious immersion breaking problems when either you or the merchant doesnt have enough gold to move items but you want to trade items (aka barter).
The VATS system is better than the killcam system in skyrim as well for a few reasons, i could go on and on.

i am just hoping that the 135gb of content isn't uncompressed language files. that file size sounds decent when you take into consideration that the majority of GOOD Skyrim modlist fall within that triple digit integer, however taking something like call of duty into account you can definitely have your skepticisms when you realize the majority of their file size pertains to just that uncompressed audio files in different languages. i am optimistic though since people said that SF wouldn't have space-fights, and they showed just that in one of their promo vids.

I'm not gonna lie, I have my fair share of problems with Fo4 but even then I've easily played like 900h from pirated copies + my steam copy, I'm playing it right now with 100+ mods that only add to the vanilla experience (besides modding out the voiced character because frick that and also alternate start) I've been playing this character for 72h and i've been having a lot of fun, I'm not going to do the main quest though, I'll just end the game when I get to and eventually finish far harbor which is the best fallout like experience in this game.
This playthrough I've decided to actually use the settlement shit and play the game using the systems that are different from other fo games and honestly its been fun, you have to enjoy the building aspect though, and also something else that i've noticed myself enjoying a lot this time is the gameplay loop of the legendary weapons/armor even though I've criticized the lack of actual legendaries before, it really is kind of addicting to play. All in all its a fun game, kind of like playing a looter shooter with light rpg elements in the best fallout map (in my opinion, of course)

Imagine not building up Hangman's alley instead. I like the fact that it's basically in the center of the map, I'm playing on survival without fast travel so that just seems convenient, besides, the city is one of the coolest parts of fo4

Here are some tips: >place stuff on top of rugs, you can make them clip into each other >through down pipe guns you dont need and scrap them for extra budget >decorate settlements using objects, you can drag them from across the map, or just use settlement mode

to sum up my opinion I think fallout 4 is really fun but you have to see past the numerous GLARING problems it has.

I don't. Morrowind was a game I sunk an entire summer into. IIRC I spent 500 hours on the game. Fallout 3 was the same. I will never forget BLOOWING up Megaton. That explosion was the most beautiful thing I had seen in a game graphically at the time. Then i killed everyone in Tenpenny Tower to even the scales. Fallout 3 was also a game i spent ALOT of time in. The Lincoln's Repeater, Experimental MERV, Alien Blaster made for some fun times. I think most ppl want Starfield to succeed and I suspect it will so...yeah.

But like Atlus, they just released Persona 5 like 2 years ago and all it adds is basically a DLC expansion. P5R has no merit to exist. They could've just updated and released a DLC for vanilla 5.

People who got into bethesda games because of oblivion or skyrim are so weird. Those are the worst games and fallout 3, fallout 4 and even fallout 76 after they fixed it are better. The worst part is that between oblivion and skyrim they make the same mistakes with elder scrolls that they dont seem to make with fallout, oddly enough, such as barter system mechanics.
This isnt a personal taste thing, the combat in elder scrolls is not as good as fallout because melee in their engine doenst work as well as shooting. The barter system in oblivion and skyrim are both bad compared to fallout, objectively speaking, not an opinion, because you cant even technically barter in oblivion/skyrim you sell 1 item at a time and buy 1 item at a time, which causes obvious immersion breaking problems when either you or the merchant doesnt have enough gold to move items but you want to trade items (aka barter).
The VATS system is better than the killcam system in skyrim as well for a few reasons, i could go on and on.

From a character build standpoint the fallouts are better, from a gameplay perspective the fallouts are better. all skyrim has over fallout is the world building whcih isnt that much better than fallout, subjectively it wouldnt be crazy to think fallout setting was more interesting. was skyrim just your first open world game or something?

i am just hoping that the 135gb of content isn't uncompressed language files. that file size sounds decent when you take into consideration that the majority of GOOD Skyrim modlist fall within that triple digit integer, however taking something like call of duty into account you can definitely have your skepticisms when you realize the majority of their file size pertains to just that uncompressed audio files in different languages. i am optimistic though since people said that SF wouldn't have space-fights, and they showed just that in one of their promo vids.

I've been playing Fallout since Fo3, best game in the series is definitely New Vegas because of the writing and the quests and just the roleplayabilty of it. I'm not gonna lie, I have my fair share of problems with Fo4 but even then I've easily played like 900h from pirated copies + my steam copy, I'm playing it right now with 100+ mods that only add to the vanilla experience (besides modding out the voiced character because frick that and also alternate start) I've been playing this character for 72h and i've been having a lot of fun, I'm not going to do the main quest though, I'll just end the game when I get to and eventually finish far harbor which is the best fallout like experience in this game.
This playthrough I've decided to actually use the settlement shit and play the game using the systems that are different from other fo games and honestly its been fun, you have to enjoy the building aspect though, and also something else that i've noticed myself enjoying a lot this time is the gameplay loop of the legendary weapons/armor even though I've criticized the lack of actual legendaries before, it really is kind of addicting to play. All in all its a fun game, kind of like playing a looter shooter with light rpg elements in the best fallout map (in my opinion, of course)
All that said though I still get bitter about how shit the writing is and how most quests are hot trash, but even then I keep coming back to it

You need to build up every settlement
Here are some tips:
>place stuff on top of rugs, you can make them clip into each other
>through down pipe guns you dont need and scrap them for extra budget
>decorate settlements using objects, you can drag them from across the map, or just use settlement mode
the game is definitely meant to be played like that, building up everything, I don't know if I can though, I'm not that into the building part, but it's definitely rewarding
also tfw he's holding the gun like a fricking monkey, I just have to shut off my brain and see past the jank sometimes, not gonna lie
to sum up my opinion I think fallout 4 is really fun but you have to see past the numerous GLARING problems it has.

I don't. Morrowind was a game I sunk an entire summer into. IIRC I spent 500 hours on the game. Fallout 3 was the same. I will never forget BLOOWING up Megaton. That explosion was the most beautiful thing I had seen in a game graphically at the time. Then i killed everyone in Tenpenny Tower to even the scales. Fallout 3 was also a game i spent ALOT of time in. The Lincoln's Repeater, Experimental MERV, Alien Blaster made for some fun times. I think most ppl want Starfield to succeed and I suspect it will so...yeah.
Morrowind was the last good Bethesda game, and even that game was totally shit. Outside the great writing and atmosphere, the gameplay is utter dogshit and I'm tired of pretending it isn't.
