Why does Gordon Freeman look like a masculine hero in the Half-Life 2 art, but his Alyx model looks like a weak programmer? Will the next Half-Life game make it even worse?

Here's the Alyx model for reference.
he looks the same
They look identical
Same exact proportions
He's 27 years old, give him a break
True, he looks badass with a shotgun
the only differences are his thin lips and blank facial expression
I'm actually surprised how close he looks to his Half-Life 2 incarnation when they changed Alyx's appearance to such a degree.
what does alyx look like
His lips are slightly different and he has a scowl in the first pic. Otherwise it's the same.
>HURR DURR WHY IS THE CHARACTER MODEL YOU ONLY SEE FOR ONE SECOND THAT'S SHROUDED IN DARKNESS TO OBSCURE IT NOT PRETTY ENOUGH WHY DIDN'T THEY ALLOCATE ALL THEIR TIME AND RESOURCES TO MAKING THIS EXTREMELY BRIEF CAMEO LOOK BETTER
>socials photo
>real life
the two aren't mutually exclusive, he's a weak programmer that was forced to become a masculine hero
His model in HLA is seen for a few seconds from a distance in obscure lighting, I'm pretty sure they'll make him different in the next game
This.
Same with Alyx's model which you were only meant to see from a distance under specific lighting.
>next game
One is promotional art for a game that didn't even have a player model for Freeman while the other is a fully rendered model in-game.
>promotional art for a game that didn't even have a player model for Freeman
It's literally a dolled-up cg model that was never released to the public until half life 2 survivor got datamined.
>Next Half-Life game
Anyway, I wish they would have made another expansion for the original Half-Life where you play as the Black Ops team. You have Opposing Force where you play as the Marines, and Blue Shift where you play as Barney, shit even in Decay you could play as Vortigaunts. Why not a stealthy one where you play as a Black Ops assassin? You could call it Dark Energy or something, keeping in theme with the science-based names that kind of match up to what the game actually is.
This is the only Gordon I acknowledged
>Why Gordon looks like a weak programmer
Because he was based on Greg Coomer
>why does the scientist nerd character look like a fricking NERD?!!?!? aarrghh this must be the israelites fault
I wish I could have liked half life, but FPS games just destroy my stomach and head after too long
Regardless of FoV? I get migraines from low FoV, frame drops and screen tearing. But as long as that's taken care of I have no problem
idk, I've never bothered tinkering with that
Seems worth it if it would make it possible for you to play first-person games
>next game
half life is dead, anon. hl2's 20th anniversary is coming up and even then we still wont get to know how it ends. hl3 will never be real, just like how i will never be a woman
>just like how i will never be a woman
irony? or so you need somebody to talk to lmao
>Unity engine Gordon Freeman is NOT REAL
>He can not walk into your room and engage in raw homosex with your ass
i dislike this armor artstyle
this, and frick random unnecessary reboots, just keep the armor the same
>G-man has Vergil moveset
No wonder it was unwinnable fight for, hm, mr.Freeman
Gordon Freeman is a theoretical physicist who had hardly earned the distinction of his Ph.D at the time of the Black Mesa Incident
