Showmanship/Sex Appeal skills scale with Charm and have a pretty high upper limit since you don't get stronger versions of most of them unlike damaging spells having like 5 tiers
And most of Sylvando and Jade's special costumes have high Charm bonuses so it ends up being stronger than most of the other shit they can do until pretty lategame

Shit, now I know how Charm works. I think I'm gonna unproc all those dagger abilities from him, because he's really worthless as a melee attacker. His charm bonuses from Litheness are huge and he's got a lot of abilities in that and Showmanship which help out more than just having the ability to stab for a few extra points of damage.
Yeah Charm is Sylvandos best stat by far. That’s also why I usually use swords on him, even though his sword tree is pretty useless, because they tend to have the most charm on a weapon.

Great sword on Hero is the way to go until you get sword dance and gigaslash/gash, then DW is over takes it.
To be honest, Hendrik makes for one hell of a Greatsword user as well, but is just over shadowed by how nuts the Axe tree is.

Single big hits do better vs high def with how the damage formula works
The stronger multihit moves (Multithrust, Swords Dance, A Cut Above, etc) end up being better when you start throwing buffs and debuffs around

There’s two Sylv only weapons with 50 charm, one is a sword you can actually get pretty early into Act III from a rare steal, the other is that Dagger which is better (because it also gives Evasion) but you can’t get that until right at the end of the game.

Hendrik makes for a pretty mean damage dealer actually, and he can oomphle himself as well (I know he debuffs his defence using it, but honesty the dude barely takes physical damage it really doesn’t matter that much)
Single big hits do better vs high def with how the damage formula works
The stronger multihit moves (Multithrust, Swords Dance, A Cut Above, etc) end up being better when you start throwing buffs and debuffs around
Erik's last sword attack after using Divide is one of the hardest hitting attacks in the game
His unique weapon with the highest charm is a dagger IIRC
But at that point you're just throwing skill points into whatever, his sword tree isn't very useful imo
There’s two Sylv only weapons with 50 charm, one is a sword you can actually get pretty early into Act III from a rare steal, the other is that Dagger which is better (because it also gives Evasion) but you can’t get that until right at the end of the game.
Sylvando with two falcon swords was pretty great in my party for a short time
he got dual wield before Eric and my Hero was Greatsword

I dunno man. My twoswords Erik is already built up since Naou Wat. Having the +25 to damage really helps for the off-hand penalty.
