During Early Access, the Shield Dwarf race used to feature +2 Constitution and +2 Strength. This has been changed in the full launch of BG3 and the Ability Score points are now associated with the Class that players will choose.

This is a single player game, but it's not a single character game. You have a whole party of others to take care of damage dealing, healing, or being the face (since cha is a dump stat for druids). Personally I'd recommend everyone who is new to DnD to start their playthrough as one of the CHA scaling classes so their character can be the face and actually feel like the MC. Paladin, Bard, Sorcerer, and Warlock are pretty varied, and you can multiclass to make them fit any niche.

Yes. And you will gain exp for doing so.
You can talk your way out of most encounters. Even barbarians have dialogue choices at times to intimidate their way out of combat.
Yeah, there's plenty of encounters you can avoid by having the right skill like intimidation or persuasion, both of which scale with CHA.
there's no random encounters and you can talk your way out of most fights. I don't know if there's a way to do it for the gnoll encounter in chapter 1 and I guess there's a way with speak to animals/shapeshift for animal encounters

I think on the dropped frames podcast Swen said "mod tools" and not just support. If they actually have tools to help people create things, it would be cool. One of the things about the DM/GM mode was while they aren't doing it, modders theoretically "could" do it but there is nothing to speed-make dungeons and they would have to create UI and systems for moving people around areas that Larian did for OS2.
We will get class mods for sure which is what I want the most anyways.
