It’s almost unanimously brown, moronic ESLs like you who complain about all the big sentences and hard words in games like Golden Sun. Nice try though, thirdie.
More like why is the game so fricking easy? One of the easiest JRPGs of all time with brain dead gameplay coming down to 'is djinn off cooldown? is summon available?'
There is actually a fantastic ROM hack of the first two games that rebalances them to be a lot more interesting and challenging.
Golden Sun Reloaded. Highly recommended for repeat playthroughs.
These were only popular because they were on handheld. The bar was lower for content and quality so having a decent JRPG that wasn't Pokemon or a port of an SNES game was a novelty.
If this came out as an E-Shop game today or whatever it would be forgotten in a week
It's annoying because the games mechanics and graphics are all great.
The dungeon layouts are tedious,
The puzzles are easy but slow to solve,
And the writing is empty.
I beat the first one, but saved beyond the point of no return while missing 1 djinn. I thought GS2 would let me backtrack for old missing djinns, but when the two parties joined up I was still forever missing that one djinn without a way of getting it so I stopped playing and never restarted
golden sun felt like mimicry of a typical JRPG framework.
kinda designed as babbies first entry into the genre when it comes to all characters and themes.
interestingly enough its much more solid gameplay wise.
I wonder how much of the dialogue in these is just your party repeating things they already know and reacting to whatever is happening. But I like the charming moments like when they try to pry Piers about his age
Who cares? The games are fun.
Bad translation? I don't know if anyone has ever tried comparing the Japanese and seeing if it's just as bad.
actually the problem is often moreso the translation is too good. it ends up being very dry with no personality.
The amount of text and the questionable pacing are complaints raised just as often by the Japanese.
Try this. Every line of text matters, no exaggeration.
>OP can't read
>hates text
american hours already?
Describe Ivans personality.
Timid but justice absorbed twink that's in way over his head

Ha, good bait. I think there is like one dialog option that actually does something in the entire franchise.

Still, want another one though.
It's classical storytelling, the characters don't matter, the story does.

Unironic autism
The Lost Age lets you get one more Djinni of each element if you missed one of that element in GS1

Reminder that Jenna won and Miagays are in shambles.
