>in high resolutions
Could have left out this part.
Pixel "art" has never looked good.
At first it was a technical limitation, once it was no longer required from a technical side it allowed talentless frickheads that can't draw to go with the low skill entry route.
It was always a mistake, there's not a single game that benefits from having pixel art, and those that utilize this abomination never look good.
It's that simple.
Yeah, if the "pixel art" is indistinguishable from non-pixel art, then I really don't see your point.
If anything it speaks to my argument, even the pixel artists realizes pixelshart is shit and has to endeavor to make it not look pixelated.
Okay cool but where are the games with good pixel art that are not ancient? I like the oldies, don't get me wrong, but surely there are some remotely modern games with good pixel art.
If right had the details of left, yes. Flash games with good graphics don't age because they're vectors. It's harder to master vectors but they work regardless of scale.
>something that the right can never have
Adding details and shadding is very possible you zoomer. It takes more effort in vectorial graphics, but for example you clearly see how the shadow plays differently in bitmap vs vector.
Your intellectual failures are not mine, I've seen tons of great vector graphics over so many Flash games. Detail that is actually scallable instead of having to be re-released every few years.

Well, if you're gonna consider that pixel art you might as well consider 3D models as pixel art since they too are made out of pixels.
>doesn't even know what pixel art is
Yeah, if the "pixel art" is indistinguishable from non-pixel art, then I really don't see your point.

Are you moronic? Genuine question.
The other person is right.
That's not real pixel art.
It's just a lower resolution of drawings.
Full Dunning-Kruger on display
>Using wrong example
>Using wrong term
Ah, so you're just a moron.
There's nothing else we can discuss then.
Fpwp, absolute Black person-tier post, even if baiting.
what gamae that?
it's just a filter at that point like a CRT effect or bloom
by wrong do you mean better?
wat game dat lil nick gurr
it's dark souls it says in the file name
What a copy of Dofus art
Okay cool but where are the games with good pixel art that are not ancient? I like the oldies, don't get me wrong, but surely there are some remotely modern games with good pixel art.
It doesn't, you are just new bad old good, even when people are doing "old" things in the "new" era.
Or you can't recognize when nostalgia affects you.
to me the buildings look fine, trees are kind of odd, and the characters especially their expressions are horrifying
>another thread where anons don't know the difference between sprites and pixel art
Explain the difference.
>Why does pixel art look so wrong in high resolutions
Because they use bitmap images instead of vector images.
Is this what you want
>Left
SOVL
>Right
Soulless
If right had the details of left, yes. Flash games with good graphics don't age because they're vectors. It's harder to master vectors but they work regardless of scale.
There are no details on the left, it's noise your brain is interpreting as details, something that the right can never have

That looks a million times better than low res pixel art on a modern screen.
