If you're using an SSD, well keep in mind that the PS4 is only basic USB3. The faster 3.2/Gen2 specs aren't available. It's fornite, Unreal games pack everything into gigantic archives that then get encoded in some weirdo way. Patching that shit is not a quick process.

My PS4's been a glorified blu-ray player for a couple years now and I don't even like using it for that. Everything's so fricking sluggish since it shoves ads into every goddamn screen and wants to tell you all about how people you haven't interacted with in ages got some trophy in a game you don't give a frick about. I got that giant LED light reflecting off my TV the whole time, and whenever I put my hand anywhere near the controller to move it or pause the video, the touch strip freaks out and starts skipping forward and backward (why the hell did they think that was a good idea anyway?)
I can't wait for an excuse to toss this piece of shit in the trash. The PS4's had some good games over the years, but as far as hardware and overall experience goes it's the worst console I've ever owned.
If I use my ps4 for anything other than blurays it sounds like a full sized jet idling on the runway. While i also had fun with mine im pretty sure the console is on its last legs.
