Why does he care about TTRPGs at all? Especially one that's not an established property.
the marvel movie guy
Anyway these guys are dumb. If the contract was canceled, you don't have to deliver anything. If they aren't paying you for the work you did, then you don't have to turn it over, tell them you trashed it.
Then go through what you have, remove or change everything that wasn't riginal to you and try to make a viable product if you think it's good, or sell it as a DnD 5E compatible book if it's shit.
Who even is Evil Genius? Have they done anything outside of indie trash?
I thought i recognized the name, but maybe I confused them with Secret LAir who make mtg products like deck cases?
Anyway, they make franchise tie-in games, Pacific Rim, Escape from New York, Highlander. Their only original ip is picrel. Guy looks like an indie weirdo but whatevs.
This person's physiognomy offends me. It's like one of those pictures that you can look at one way and see an old man and the other way and see the entire text of Proust.
In one glance I see the sort of overweight woman who probably wears a pentagram necklace, draws furry pornography on her free time, as a septum piercing because of a poor relationship with her father, and probably wears a collar while getting fricked by her polycule.
In the second glance I see a doughy nerd, the sort of autistic guy you meet whose parents had children late in life resulting in his unwholesome hormonal levels, the beady eyes of an Anglo, and the soft mandible of someone who sleeps with their mouth open and only eats processed foods resulting in atrophying facial muscles and drooping jowels. I would guess high functioning aspergers and a thyroid disorder.
Overall this person should be tied by his feet to a trebuchet's net, and then flung directly into the ground.
>Why does he care about TTRPGs at all?
I don't know if you're aware but Zach Snyder is doing a series of films called Rebel Moon for Netflix. They seem to have bagged on REBEL MOON (TM) being the next big thing out of the gate and were planning to make it some sort of giga expanded universe with five millions films, video games, and an rpg.
Seems Netflix changed their minds (or maybe the rpg delivered to them was really bad).

Reading again, it looks like they were double stupid and delivered a product before getting paid. Chock this up to lessons learned and go on with your life if you aren't prepared to take this to small claims court. Or report your contact for theft.

You can force netflix (or any company) to do things, provided that those things don't cost the company a lot of money, and provided that you can reach that company's consumers and make them mad. That's how it works now. They might fail, sure, but I don't think they're stupid for trying.
>go to a counter >ask for product >they hand it to me and tell me the price >I walk out with the product and it's their fault for handing it to me before asking me for money
I'm not the one who claims they were dumb for doing their contractual job and handing it in, rather than keeping it as ransom. In what world do you get to escape paying if you cancel the contract after you receive what you ordered, but before you pay for it?

Makes sense that they would send WIP scripts to the contractor, especially if there's stuff that needs approval like in their World Bible.
It's so funny how woke spergs have decided Zack Snyder is public enemy #3 after #1 JK Rowling and #2 Blomald Blumph, for seemingly absolutely no reason other than making mediocre movies that attempted to compete with the MCU.
I'm a woke sperg and I have no idea what you're talking about. The only time I've heard his name in the last 5 years is people begging for the Snyder cut.

The man himself is secondary to the hate, only really acting as a symbol for culture war bullshit surrounding him.
The people they really hate are the fans who are viewed as chuds and chud adjacent but a single target is easier to target.
>The people they really hate are the fans who are viewed as chuds and chud adjacent but a single target is easier to target.
I still have no idea what you're talking about. I didn't know there were woke or unwoke implications to wanting to add an extra hour to the 5 thousandth capeshit movie in the last 10 years.
You're thinking of Dan 'The Man with a Plan in the Van' Schneider.
Zack Sneeder is just a hack fraud who inserts surface level Christian imagery into capeshit for the benefit of Pajeets and mouthbreathers.
I don't know who any of these people are and have watched like 2 marvel movies total.
I have no desire to know who these people are, what they are doing, or what those homosexuals on twitter are saying.
I hate you /misc/gays with a passion and I've never heard of any of this.
STOP POSTING YOUR BULLSHIT HERE. IT IS ON YOUR HEAD THAT COMBAT WHEELCHAIRS ARE NOW A THING.
I hate him because of his obnoxious cult that screeches how ACKSHUALLY LETO JOKER WOULD BE KINO IF YOU RELEASE THE FORESKIN CUT, Man of Steel I only remember for that moronic scene where Papa Kent tells Superman not to use his powers to help him through a storm before being smashed to death by debris, I fell asleep during Batman vs Superman it was so fricking boring, never bothered with the shitty Justice League movie as a result.
> I call bullshit, that kind of turnaround time doesn't happen.
They only list page amounts, not word count. Could be 20 point type, doubled spaced, single sided pages.
I thought i recognized the name, but maybe I confused them with Secret LAir who make mtg products like deck cases?

, some quotes/fics from the movies(that they were no doubt given a select portions of to make stuff with) and large, cheap art, I could see it. Not that it would be nuanced or great, but I could see it getting done. Esp if it were a 'starter set' type deal where they would work out more advanced rules for things like star ships and large group management later and just stick to the street level stuff for now.
Was it Snyder or was it Netflix who cancelled? I can't believe that Snyder would take an interest in the RPG but I can believe that Netflix would cancel it, keep it and then later on publish it as their own, they are known for underhand tactics.
According to an article they posted in the petition, Snyder played the RPG, liked it, and planned on taking certain aspects to use in future Rebel Moon stuff (probably just random info used to fill gaps on vehicles or named but not seen planets). Definitely seems more like Netflix is pulling the rug, but I'd imagine it's just because they don't have faith in the movie(s) and want to bury it by making sure products don't hit shelves as a reminder to customers; can't imagine they'd bother to publish books, let alone an RPG system themselves.
>they don't have faith in the movie(s) and want to bury it by making sure products don't hit shelves as a reminder to customers
I'd put money on this being whats going on. There's been a massive swathe of cancelled projects in both film and video game spaces in the last few months. I wouldn't be surprised if they're taking steps to be ahead of the big market shift everyone is feeling but not talking about.
/pol/gays are chocking it up to EGS funds drying up, but I suspect thats more a symptom rather than cause.
Who?
Zach Snider, director of such hits as Watchem, The 100, and Batman Vs The Riddler: Gotham Gottems
Why does he care about TTRPGs at all? Especially one that's not an established property.

ಠ_ಠ
It's how they make a ttrpg without learning how ttrpgs work.
> Guy looks like an indie weirdo but whatevs.
That’s a man?!
>D20 modern
Look at that fricking barnett

You really do get to read some incredible midwit takes on this website

>the marvel movie guy
he's the guy that made the failed WB movies
>Is he stupid?
Do you, in view of his body of work, really need to ask that question?
It would be a shame if these got leaked
Zack is a Libertarian Randian. He probably doesn't flush the toilet for ideological reasons.
I guarantee that this was Netflix and not Snyder. Why the frick would Snyder even be consulted on this, I doubt he even knows what a tabletop game is.
More importantly what the frick is Rebel Moon?
its zack snyders jupiter ascending
Why do you care? Are you stupid?

I think its Hollywood just conflating one group they hate (The alt-right) with another group they hate (People calling them out on crappy product.)
Feels like a cheap and rather sad cop-out for capeshitters of the DC variety to hide behind when they get maded fun of for being indians.
I don't get it, A LOT of Marvel capeshitters are indians as well, just look at any MCU trailer comments section.
Semiliterate indians like to watch really shitty movies.
There are a 1.4 billion of them and marvel is high budget with low english requirements
Nobody gives a frick about Snyder. Hell, Dan Snyder is easily the more hated Snyder.
None of us know or give a shit about the drama you are peddling.
I thought Zack was also the weirdo footgay writer for Disney, or is that someone else? Not Tarantino, the other one.
You're thinking of Dan 'The Man with a Plan in the Van' Schneider.

Joker's DC, not marvel.
>In (at most) 5 months, we've a complete, nearly 1000 page game over 3 books?
I call bullshit, that kind of turnaround time doesn't happen.

Well if they're just copy pasting rules

>sing contract
>"wtf, why can't I do what I want now!"
I'm not sure if people get contracts at all.
Did you miss the part where the other party just cancelled the contract but kept all the work as their own without paying for it?
Still depends on what the contract stated.
Was it Snyder or was it Netflix who cancelled? I can't believe that Snyder would take an interest in the RPG but I can believe that Netflix would cancel it, keep it and then later on publish it as their own, they are known for underhand tactics.

Why would anyone sign a contract with nigflix?
shouldn't they just call their lawyers if they didn't get paid for their work, assuming they had a contract?
>Why does Zack Snyder hate ttrpgs?
Because they're bad
>Is he stupid?
Yes, next question
