Shitting on Alola on this board (and site in general) is fricked since almost nobody on here is really passionate enough to defend or refute claims made against it.
No, Japan actually likes Kalos to some extent. The region that would be considered less popular by western standards would probably be Hoenn which is often considered to the best here, while it's typically ranked in the middle in Japan. Alola is still hated of course, and in this poll it didn't even manage to get on it at all.
Literally everyone that isn't on this board loves the Sinnoh games, b***hing about slowness, mud, and honey trees isn't mainstream at all, most people couldn't give 2 shits about that stuff.
Because the character designs were the only really great things about them. The gameplay was a really mixed bag, the Pokemon looked cool mostly but all sucked except for the UBs, Ultra Changes was a meme, and ashschizos got mindbroken by the change in anime formula.
they are shit, thats how.
black and white tried to hard to restart the formula and hawaii pokemon is just too childish for such an old ip, add to it the garbage story and designs, like the concept of UBs translates to pure creative bankruptcy
>hawaii pokemon is just too childish for such an old ip, add to it the garbage story and designs, like the concept of UBs translates to pure creative bankruptcy
That and Gen 3 remakes were released two years ago and had a similar tropical feel to Gen 7 games.
Two pokemon games set in tropical locations being released so close to each other might have been too much for japanese players.
>First games that literally tell you exactly where you need to go with very little else to do on the map >First games to remove the National Dex >First games to introduce the tired regional gimmickshit >SM are supposed to be superseded by USUM but even then, it does some things better which leaves it at this odd state of just being an incomplete product no matter what
There's a lot of problems with Gen 7 as a whole, but Japan doesn't have copers like here jacking off about the idea of it because some poketubers overhyped it prior to release. The only games that truly deserve hate are SWSH.
>some poketubers overhyped it prior to release
I think SM has to be most overhyped mainline games in the franchise.
I think one of the reason i can't completely hate SWSH despite those games being awful is that when i played it, i had absolutely zero hype and zero expectations.
>>swsh had hype until the dexcut announcement
Mostly because people thought it would be a return to form from the shit Gen 7 started, not the sequel of it.
Dexcut is the proof that unlike other JRPG fans, pokemon fans are simply way too attached to these creatures.
After all, you don't see an Megaten fan raging on twitter because his favorite demon didn't make it into most recent Megaten game.
To be fair, SMT, Digimon, YW, DQM and just about all of the other monster tamers never had all the monsters in one game. Meanwhile pokemon was doing it for a solid 20 years until gen 8.
>Meanwhile pokemon was doing it for a solid 20 years until gen 8.
I feel like that was a mistake they made and then tried to fix it way too late into the franchise's lifespan.
Can you imagine a Digimon game with pre-Gen 8 Pokemon's all creatures accessible in one game mentalilty? good luck trying to fit around 1,400 digimon into one 60-90 GB game.
Always nice when the discorders give a helpful warning to avoid feeding genwar threads by reposting their full list of blatant misinformation early instead of pretending to be reasonable.
Yeah I'm not even the same person who made the post in the first place. I'm calling you out because the post is true. You have no reason to call it misinformation unless you were a sharty poster and we all know that you lot defend the modern games with your life.
>you have no reason to call it misinformation
Other than the fact that it intentionally lies by ignoring the existence of megas for the "regional gimmick" cope and then blaming gen 7 for the dexcut despite transfers still being completely available
>by ignoring the existence of megas for the "regional gimmick"
Megas weren't regional though, they literally appear in four different regions. >and then blaming gen 7 for the dexcut
He didn't even say that, the closest thing to that in the post is saying that it had no national dex, which is true.
It's obvious that you're a sharty poster because it's like you're following a script.
>Other than the fact that it intentionally lies by ignoring the existence of megas for the "regional gimmick" cope
My dude, mega evolution outlived Z moves and was present in 4 different regions, Kanto, Hoenn, Kalos and Alola.
Z moves were only in Alola.
Doubling down on the intentional manipulation of information and we're back to saying I'm the "real" raider again just 2 posts later. Which one of us is meant to be following a script?
>Doubling down on the intentional manipulation of information
Okay? How is it manipulation of information exactly?
Look, if you want to shitpost properly here's some advice, don't try as hard as you are now.
they love shinnoh only because of japan wank, the region design and the game design is fricking garbage and literally only few human designs are memorable
Trash even they prefer swsh because Marniex Gloria and raihan for fujos
Shitting on Alola on this board (and site in general) is fricked since almost nobody on here is really passionate enough to defend or refute claims made against it.
You'd be surprised. Yesterday someone tried to defend SM and didn't know that some USM content didn't exist in it.
>all of those beautiful doujins
See it’s one of those games where people really like the characters but playing isn’t fun.
Why do you keep posting pointless poll results?
Probably because it’s the worst region/gen
Goddamn Japan has a huge Sinnoh boner.
>Goddamn Japan has a huge Sinnoh boner.
the entire world does
Sinnoh won the best region poll on reddit some years back
>Japan
>Reddit
Checks out. Both have notoriously shit taste.
theres nowhere that doesnt have Sinnoh at least in the top 2-3 regions
my list doesn't.
unlike you i don't have shit tastes like the asiatics and the basedfaces
>theres nowhere that doesnt have Sinnoh at least in the top 2-3 regions
Total Kinnoh domination
Japan loves Sinnoh and Unova
Japan hates Alola and Kalos

Everyone does, this shitty board is just a vocal minority
>Implying this board doesn't love Sinnoh too
Not really. Fans on this board have actual sense.
/vp/ loves Sinnoh though
sharty =/= /vp/
>sharty =/= /vp/
Sharty posters hate gen 5 and love 4, 6 and 7 anon.
Kanto and Sinnoh are their babies
Literally everyone that isn't on this board loves the Sinnoh games, b***hing about slowness, mud, and honey trees isn't mainstream at all, most people couldn't give 2 shits about that stuff.
Because it has a lot of KANTOOO pokemon
Because Japanese lore region.
They remember Pearl Harbor
Because the character designs were the only really great things about them. The gameplay was a really mixed bag, the Pokemon looked cool mostly but all sucked except for the UBs, Ultra Changes was a meme, and ashschizos got mindbroken by the change in anime formula.
it was too "different" is my guess?
They were bad games. Both 3DS generations were bad.
>they hated him because he spoke the truth
how?
they are shit, thats how.

It doesn’t help that they announced it during a really bad treehouse demo for SwSh that just made that game look worse.
blame pokemon go bringing back all the normies who quit the instant pokemania faded
Always nice when the discorders give a helpful warning to avoid feeding genwar threads by reposting their full list of blatant misinformation early instead of pretending to be reasonable.
Perfect example of a sharty poster.
Immediately turning around and trying to call the person who caught you a raider doesn't mean you weren't caught. It just makes you look desperate.

And Kanto
And Galar
But I guess those don't count for an arbitrary reason you'll make up now. Right discord?
The frick are you talking about?
Anon, Dynamax move Z moves and LGPE didn't have them period.

Another Sinnoh W
they love shinnoh only because of japan wank, the region design and the game design is fricking garbage and literally only few human designs are memorable
Nah, Sinnoh is the peak
fantastic region
To be fair, Alola is ok at best, the amazing female cast, the setting, and the HM removal alone are still quite something.
