Still, when I go to more rural inland areas, I do notice that the percentage of whites goes down by 2% or something every year or so, but that just may be confirmation bias in action. There are all other types of Asians (as in East and South-East), pretty close in proportion to their global populations, as well as a significant (at least 15%) Indians (as in, all South Asians).
Southbank, for example, was 70% non-White in 2016, but only 13.2% Chinese (followed by 4.6% Indian).

I live in Melbourne, I don’t particularly think it’s a good place to live. I’ve never been to Sydney, and sometimes it does look worse, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it is actually better.
The climate is better, beaches and airport are ridiculously more accessible than in Melbourne, but the housing market is vastly more fricked. Rental bidding primarily happens in Sydney because of how fricked it is

I was there yesterday and I would be exaggerating if I said that 10% of the people I saw were white. I was also in a big elevator with 20 or so people and it was fricking full with no wiggle room and I was the only white guy in there, the rest were Indians and Chinese. I just loathe going to Sydney in general now.
I'm from Melb, but it's much the same. Maybe a bit more than 10% depending on time of day and area. The big city cbds are international hubs these days. And since immigration isn't really changing ("halving" our intake is still 250,000 a year) things won't change in those parts.
Yeah, we are not changing course this late into the voyage, so I'm just gonna go with the flow. Still, when I go to more rural inland areas, I do notice that the percentage of whites goes down by 2% or something every year or so, but that just may be confirmation bias in action. We got to house these new Australians somewhere, and Australia is massive, but nobody is willing to swallow their pride and live outside of major population centers and frick off to the outback.

Immigration's a funny one. The liberal right wing support it because immigration equals cheap labour and more investors into the property market to keep housing prices going up. More people also means the GDP goes up. The progressive left like it because multiculturalism.
But the classical left tend to frown on it because it threatens worker solidarity, unions and increases labour supply. Meanwhile nationalist right wing hate it because most immigrants form their own cultural communities and take generations to assimilate into the broader culture and national identity (let alone racial differences).
Long story short immigration isn't going anywhere because the LNP and ALP both like for economic reasons (their bribes from donors), the greens are progressives.

There are close to 0 Whites, but it’s not just Chinese who are there (I don’t know if that has ever been the case). There are all other types of Asians (as in East and South-East), pretty close in proportion to their global populations, as well as a significant (at least 15%) Indians (as in, all South Asians).
Southbank, for example, was 70% non-White in 2016, but only 13.2% Chinese (followed by 4.6% Indian).
