They fricked up Alex. Honestly it would've been better if it made Alex and Heler as two playable characters and beat up a common enemy. Corny? Yeah, maybe. But it wouldn't have killed the entire fricking studio.
That's just Spider-Man 2.
Spiderman 2 is very different from Prototype.
That would mean making unique animations, movesets, and powers for both of them, and that’s just a waste. Stick to Alex.

I would prefer remake. Prototype was great for it time, but it could use polish. Especially the last boss, which was just a generic mob with better stats.

I don't get why they didn't revolve the sequel around pic related instead of some random guy, it was set up and everything, first game is a virus born out of a corpse, second is the virus born from its schizo mother, it's the next logical step and could've been kino. He'd have an actual reason to see Mercer as an enemy since mercer killed his mom, Elizabeth might be in pariahs mind as some schizo bio whatever, urging him to kill mercer, Zeus would obviously want to keep tabs on the biggest threat and possibly strongest bio weapon other than himself. Fricking missed opportunities man, connections were laid then just forgotten

Same as every thread; obsession with graphical fidelity means rendering a city at that scale is far less feasible before you even consider the level of npc density required. AA is dead and AAA games are obsessed with story and spectacle or bloated empty sandboxes rather than allowing for dense playgrounds. Indies can't match that scope yet, and possibly never can due to the sheer breadth of assets and content required to fill that kind of map (using a real city for your level design is a convenient kludge it hampers movement and game structure).
Right now indies are just starting to ape N64/PS1 platformers. Give 'em another five years to make a Hulk: Ultimate Destruction
