There's nothing fun about going through every level you've already beaten again with guide to get all the collectibles or grinding every character to max level for no reason other than to get an achievement.
The first game I've tried 100%ing in nearly 2 decades was Symphony of the Night. When I found myself spending 10 minutes using a wolf to swim along the edges of an upside down lake in order to turn a block on a map from black to blue, I realized it wasn't worth it.

I sometimes don't even 100% books that I read. If it gets boring I'll start skipping the filler descriptions. I'll do what's worth doing and nothing more.
