Super high-end parts are a poor value and aren't as well-tested. They also tend to have thermal issues. It's usually better to go a few steps down in the name of practicality.

I have a 4080 and shan't be upgrading until there's a very comfortable and reasonable 4k @ 144hz+ card.
1080 is still holding strong and I'd rather not drop a house payment on an upgrade quite yet.
For the price of a 4090 on its own and not including the nuclear power station to run it, I could buy literally every console for the next 30 years.
