funny thing is i wanted one and i had the money for it but steam didn't sold it on my shithole so i got an oled instead with a couple of games i wanted to play since they were launched....then a month later Amazon started to sell steam deck....no regrets tough, love my oled and i plan to eventually get a deck.
My switch is legitimately broken and useable just from average use, the joycon dock is fricked for some reason
waiting for switch 2 to come out all ready
Because I know that id never use it.
At home I have my gaming pc so no reason to use deck there.
For travel-deck does look too big to use and I already got vita to play games while traveling + I also got a laptop to use when im at tthe destination.
Deck is cool af and I considered buying one but I just know id never use it.
Yeah, I don't know about SteamOS, but you can dual boot into Windows. Alternatively, if you're only playing OGXbox/360 games, just install Emudeck for Xemu/Xenia.
I already have a switch and every game worth a frick is already on it except for Morrowind shadowrun (genesis) and heroes of might and magic iii and I just emulate those on a shitty 20 year old laptop
Take it from me someone who had one before buying a gaming rig.
Shit fricking sucks man.
Sure theres the marvel of playing in bed but once that wears off you reallise you have a shitty underperforming piece of shit to play your PC games on with settings at low medium trying to aim for 40fps "because it feels just as good'
The Severely limiting Linux is fricking dogshit.
Want to play with mods in Fallout or Skyrim? Enjoy going through tonnes of hoops because you just can't install MO2 and run it.
They brag it can emulate switch but they don't tell you thats at default settings pretty much the same as how it would run on Switch.
The whole thing is a scam.
I only ever play games on my very expensive PC. The frick do I need a 400$ underpowered tablet for?
For the same price you could get a VR headset and actually play new types of games instead of switch tier titles.
Cause Valve marketers keep astroturfing chan board and reddit into thinking this thing has any chance of market penetration let alone adoption. If I wanted to play with sub par hardware with a regular LCD screen, I'd go with the switch.
I already do!
I bought an ally
Because I already have a Switch

I don't care for handhelds. I'm sure it's pretty nice, though.
i was gonna buy used but i found a guy on craigslist willing to trade one for unused videogames. im waiting to hear back from him
I do own one but I ended up using my switch more anyways

Has sticks and isn't modular.
>isn't modular
You can easily take apart the Deck and replace parts.
I already have a powerful gaming pc.
i dont want to put my 'ick on and it and ruin it with cum
I already have a switch and every game worth a frick is already on it except for Morrowind shadowrun (genesis) and heroes of might and magic iii and I just emulate those on a shitty 20 year old laptop
I don't go out much and a hacked switch with moonlight does the same job.
Valve viral marketing on Ganker still at work over a decade later
because im getting switch today
Take it from me someone who had one before buying a gaming rig.

I was gonna wait for a second revision but then I saw these only came out like a year ago, why the frick did I think these were out for 5 years?
I just sold mine actually. I have an Ally now and I love it.
I'm not a troony, simple as.
I literally have a computer, why would I have this thing
On the go PC gaming
I'm poor
I do own one. Shits comfy as frick
Cause Valve marketers keep astroturfing chan board and reddit into thinking this thing has any chance of market penetration let alone adoption. If I wanted to play with sub par hardware with a regular LCD screen, I'd go with the switch.
i have a computer
I'm afraid it won't handle the bunch of recent and upcoming games + battery life
