Pokemon new type: homie
Weak to fire bug and steel
I have validation issues and some classmates told me I'm cheap and gay if I used them.
Then why do you think your classmates think it’s cheap or gay to use legendaries
that was the playground rule at the time, all legendaries are broken
Because I already have a full team by the time I can catch them. I don't need the extra power when npc trainers are pushovers anyway.
I prefer not to use stronger mons in general, not even regular high BST stuff. Starters are the strongest pokemon I'll use.
They are just too good for normal playthroughs, or at least round 1 elite 4. Postgame though they can be fun, with the main downside is being unable to be used in the towers if they are the restricted ones or mythicals.
>They are just too good for normal playthroughs
Unless you're purposely making your team weak so you can have a challenge, you're gonna one shot everything anyway, so I never really agreed with this argument.
Clicking Flamethrower on Charizard to oneshot the opponent is no different from clicking Thunderbolt on Zapdos.
>Unless you're purposely making your team weak so you can have a challenge, you're gonna one shot everything anyway
You yawngay? Because the only instance in which you'll be one shotting the E4 is if you're overleveled, if you're 5-10 levels below them like you're intended to be then super effective moves will likely only 2 shot, hell, they might only 3 shot if you're using a coverage move instead of STAB.
>You yawngay?
Now that's just rude, no I'm not.
I guess if you use a full team you'll be too underleveled to one shot everything, but I still hold the opinion that the games are too easy and nobody should give a shit about legendaries being overpowered. Mainly because regular mons can do the exact same thing thanks to EVs giving the player a huge stat advantage even if underleveled.
>Mainly because regular mons can do the exact same thing thanks to EVs giving the player a huge stat advantage even if underleveled.
This is a reasonable point I guess. But it's not just that they hit harder, legendaries tend to be faster, bulkier, AND stronger than most other mons, so they can feel a little unfair. It's not even necessarily about moment to moment difficulty, but using regular mons that are strong because you trained them your whole adventure can feel more earned than simply using a legendary you caught at a high level just before the end of the game
If you play Photonic Sun /Prismatic Moon you can use box legends and mythicals in the Battle Tree™
I did as a kid. Nowadays in romhacks I'm not above using Trio legends or some Mythicals in harder romhacks like Radical Red or Unbound Expert Mode, but that's the steepest I'll go.
When I was a little kid I used Latios and Latias in Ruby and Emerald because they were a b***h to catch and I felt it a waste to leave them in the box.
I usually just find it a little unfair, thematically. For trainers that use legendaries, I'll absolutely use my own, but only ones with confirmed multiples like the Latios, Heatran, Regis, ect.
I guess it'd be like watching boxing and one guy has ten tubes in his chest labeled "steroids", is 7'7, and is wearing lead gloves. I mean sure he's cool, but it's not very competitive.
I do sometimes, but I usually have a well established team by the time I'm getting a legendary.
I won't use the Box Legendaries because I can plan a team much better than when I was a literal child and don't need to rely on them being OP to carry me. But I'll toss a regi or musketeer on my team if it can fill a cool slot.
I did a run through of Black2 with picrel on my team from day 1. It was an event mon and I really wanted to use him. Roleplayed it as my secret ace and only bought it out against team plasma etc. to punish them for their crimes.
Was a techno blast
Wtf, that's so kino. Kinda wanna do this now, especially after having played Black and White 3: Genesis
Minor legendaries are fair game
Box legendaries when thematically appropriate (BW) but usually not
I am OK with using them, I don't get why people think older legends are broken. Urshifu and paradox mons are a FRICKTON LOT WORSE!!!!
I'll use them if they're shiny (or Regice because its the best minor legendary)
usually too late in the game to be used
I'll use minor legendaries (BST<=600), but box legendaries are just too overpowered to be fun.
I am merely a collector of legendaries.
Legendaries are boring. Most of them are just different flavors of high stats, a bunch of moves with high BP and 5PP, and shit like Pressure or a different flavor of Mold Breaker as an Ability. Plus, by the time you get them there's almost nothing in-game to use them on. Kubfu and Ogerpon are the only Legendaries I enjoyed using because of their interesting gimmicks, varied move pools, and the fact that you still had more content to use them for.
I already have 6 of my bros by that point, I'll use my pokemon white team as an example
I had an Emolga, Samurott (pls spare me samurottgay I didn't know) Krookodile, Chandelure, Archeops and Musharna. While I could, I did not want to give up my emolga for Zekrom, objectively that is a good decision but that fricking emolga was an MVP with volt switch.
Yes I wiped to ghetsis after N
>Samurott (pls spare me samurottgay I didn't know)
you have nothing to apologize for
Trios/heatran
are fine, but anything else isn't.
They are usually banned by stadium or battletower so no point anyway.
I used Manaphy on my Peral playthrough because I didn't know it was a legendary.
>hatched from an egg
>could breed with ditto
so Idk man
I think only the box legendaries and mythicals are banned but all else is fair game.
The games are already easy enough to use them in-game, but I'll make an exception for battle facilities.
>I'll
I*
I'll is also correct there
NTA but it's not. It means you have yet to make the exception-- but by the context we know it wasn't meant to say that.
No, I'll in that context is also grammatically correct even if it's something he routinely does.
The problem is not exactly the grammar but that it's factually incorrect due to the context. Are you a bot? This should be obvious to any human.
I guess it was.
Because they make the game essentially play itself. I don't mind them existing though. Kids, who are the target demographic tend to have fun with a powerhouse that bulldozes everything.
I dont like their designs, let alone how they clash with the rest of the team.
But I do... when I feel like using them.
Normally after 2 or 3 runs with a normal team, Arceus bless pokemon bank/home
I do use Legendary Pokemon on my team. When I played Battle Revolution my online team had Rayquaza, Mewtwo, and Giratina.
Because it would mean boxing one of my bros I'm already attached to.
I do though. I'm not a commoner trainer.
By the time you usually get them, I don't want to trade any of my bros out.
I like using shitters. When box legendary wipes a team it's business as usual, but when dumbass Hitmontop does it against all odds I'm losing my shit.
Using Celebi in Johto is fun since the grass types in that region are dogshit and 100s across the board isn't that overpowered
