In these games, you're playing with other people, but your gameplay actually effects the other players and you're not just playing a bad single player game with other players being npcs you see running around.
Because MMOs are designed by morons who don't understand that no one wants to waste sixty hours leveling to get to the "real" game, the real game being logging in once a week to do a four hour raid with a high chance of getting zero gear upgrades. Zoomers would rather do something actually fun, like play Roblox or fortnite.

they would rather rot away playing valorant/league for 5-10 hours a day because it's faster paced and they can talk shit in voice chat than do something tlike WoW/FFXIV.
I only play this one specifically during free time returning events to catch up on the story then drop it again because almost nothing else is good about it.
