Does anyone actually believe the seething for this game is organic and isn't coming almost exclusively from butthurt snoys?
It's pretty astounding how many are grasping at straws to find something wrong with the game when we got 45 minutes of details. Surely if it was bad they'd be able to point to something concrete rather than these general statements of disliking it.
You aren't really excited for this right? I'm being 100% serious, how can you want to play this? What in the world could you possibly find enjoyable in a bethesda game? I genuinely think it's people just being told what to like, because you see the hate for avowed even though it's just a carbon copy of skyrim. Like as soon as they are on the outside looking in, they can magically see that whole design philosophy is absolute shit and are only blinded by some weird brand loyalty for Todd's fat turds.
Actually I am quite excited. Why would it being similar to Skyrim be a bad thing? Skyrim is the most beloved single player WRPG of all time. Bethesda's super friendly approach to modding means I can customize the game as I see fit eventually if there are certain things I dislike, but from Daggerfall to Fallout 4, I've never had anything less than an enjoyable experience with vanilla Bethesda RPGs.

Fo4 absolutely has more playstyle and characterization choices than the Witcher. Nothing that you said indicates that it isn't an RPG. A game not having certain skills doesn't mean it isn't an RPG. You can dislike the game of course, that's fine, but it's still an RPG.

Fo4 absolutely allows you to do that, as long as you don't talk to anyone, just like in Fo3 or FoNV. Point to any dialogue option in Fo3 that ACTUALLY lets you do what you just said. I'll wait.

Why? There are a billion other space games. Every Bethesda game is a slightly different flavored bandit killing simulator. Mods have never fixed a single one of their games, Skyrim is still a 3/10 game no matter how many mods you install.

For me the ship building and interiors are hype, gameplay and location are looking pretty good too. My biggest fears are what the traveling on planets will be like and the writing. I haven’t seen any characters I really like yet except for maybe Barry.

Here, knowing what Bethesda open worlds are like, you know almost exactly what you'll get at worst.
I'm perfectly aware that Bethesda's open worlds are unimmersive shallow experiences but there's a reason their games have such a long lifespan.
The basic framework is interesting and the fact that it's a sci-fi game is the main draw. And of course you know that a multitude of things will be improved by mods for years to come.
Starfield is what Bioware wish ME:A could have been.
