I don't know if you tried them but Raidou 1 is notoriously shitty to play while 2 has a lot of good word of mouth for its gameplay refinement, it became sort of the definitive game for people who only wanted to try one game. Time of release was probably also a factor. Raidou 1 came out before even Persona 3 while there were several Atlus hits by the time 2 released in 2008/2009, first time many people heard of Raidou.
Let’s be honest, that’s been the case since P3. I honestly prefer Nocturne, DDS, SMTIV/Apocalyse or Devil Survivor 1/2 over P3~P5, but I’m aware it’s P3/P4/P5 doing the heavy lifting to keep Atlus alive.
I liked Soul Hacker a lot.
Metaphor looks fun too.
I'm a little iffy on the artstyle of P5 Tactica but art-style is just surface-level shit.
Overall there's a lot to like.

Not my problem. Although I’m not buying another one if they’re games till I actually finish p5r. So 5-10 years from now. Was just pretty disappointed with the version of p5 I pirated, but I figured I should buy it legit to square up with them.

No that's not the case since P3, P3 also flopped.
I wish they were making Devil Survivor 3 instead of another creatively bankrupt Persona 5 spinoff

All you need to do is give the soul matrix a bit of visual variety and change the location of the second subway dungeon, and the game is a solid 8/10.

Seriously, it's Persona 5. Its success was so tremendous that it's affected Atlus games. It's apparent in Persona 3 Reload's and Metaphor's UI.
Bottom left looks like P3 kino and I can see them doing a lot of other SMT references with it. Can't say about the rest
