He has mentioned pokemon 3 times >Op pic, pokemon walkie talkies >He mentioned Geodude boxing Mr Game n watch in the Atari sports video >There is a third time, in a special episode, but i dont remember which
Probably because the Pokémon games that were out when he was young and actually into video games were actually good. That is if he even played them he was highschool/college age when that shit was exploding.
Pretty sure he knows how autistic pokemon fans are and that talking shit about the games would earn him another group of morons that harass him for years.

but all pokemon fans do is talk shit about pokemon games
It honestly doesn't make sense, no matter what reason there are against it. A well made Red/Blue episode (similar quality to his earthbound video) could easily become his most successful video yet.
What is there to really say negatively about Red and Blue? I'm guessing for Earthbound, he spoke about how the marketing fricked the game's success in America, and had some laughs at how weird the game is. Pokemon is probably both too successful, and too uninteresting as a thing to really go anywhere with. What can you tell someone about Pokemon that they don't already know?
The nerd goes out an about and finds a copy of Pokemon Blue, which is unbeknownst to him the romhack Blue Kaizo. Nerd gets mad and has plenty of "WHAT WHERE THEY THINKING" moments and the episode can be about both, Pokemon and romhacking in general.
A "James actually played the game" episode would be neat. Really with Pokemon theres so much he could do even if he was just sticking to Gen 1.
The two episodes left this year are the Halloween and Christmas specials, both of which you could center a Pokemon episode around and that would fit his comedic nostalgic gimmick.
There weren't really any Pokemon games from the Pokemania era aside from novelty devices that could be seen as "bad", and none of them were particularly infamous in difficulty either aside from challenging yourself to using Rentals-Only in the Stadium games.
Though in that regard, I'm still genuinely surprised he never dabbled in Red/Blue for the Game Glitches episode, he was willing to go as recent as Twilight Princess but failed to touch upon probably the most notorious spectrum of glitches in all of gaming.

>angry nintendo nerd
what the frick is that short even from, I don't recall that in the firs tmovie
It's from Pikachu's Vacation. They were used as transition sequences.
man i remember this from back when it was still on his channel(or screwattack?)
kek
The only Pokémon game I can think of that's AVGN material is Hey You! Pikachu.

Yes, but only among themselves.
Pokemon games are for KIDS and he plays RAD games for ADULTS. And plays MATURE music for ROCK music fans with his band KING VIPER!
Isn't it REX viper?
REX means KING but it's COOLER because it's in LATIN
WHAT WAS HE THINKING?!
I think its because pokemon sucks anon, all of it
James doesn't seem like an RPG guy. I think he mentioned having played Dragon Quest at some point, but not having beaten it, and that's about it.
FFIII (VI) is one of his favorite games of all times

Episode idea:
The nerd goes out an about and finds a copy of Pokemon Blue, which is unbeknownst to him the romhack Blue Kaizo. Nerd gets mad and has plenty of "WHAT WHERE THEY THINKING" moments and the episode can be about both, Pokemon and romhacking in general.
Kino.
Unironically a great idea.
>romhacking and emulating
autist haram territory
No, that would be actually funny and wouldn't align with the stale old formula of the episodes.
This is why we let the fans pitch in ideas.
Unfortunately this'd be too funny, interesting, and informative for nuAVGN.
Nerd plays Moemon and becomes an Otaku. Super Mecha Death Christ 9001 returns and saves him from his hikkimori ways
I played Blue Kaizo. It was not a difficult hack but it had some pretty funny design choices that would work for an episode.
Yeah, it's not that hard, it's more obnoxious in a "oh you motherfrickers..." way.

AVGN needs to do a Gex (all three games) episode

Even slop era Pokemon games aren't bad in a funny way.
