racing game fans would rather play a dedicated racing game like [insert your favourite racing game here because mine is wrong and bad], and lego fans have little interest in a game where the lego is incidental. not to mention the deluxe edition, pre-order, mtx bullshit being something that never occurred with previous lego games, so a lot of lego fans who only really played lego games are seeing that shit for the first time and having the same repulsed reaction vidya fans did many years ago before they came to accept it
they shouldve made it a f2p kart game
where you grind to unlock bricks you want to build custom racer to take online
each season would bring new lego themes and tracks
I don't know what coins equate out to in whatever the game uses but I'm willing to bet it's actually more expensive if you go by the classic 10c/p guide.
Sharing creations between friends is "coming soon" but by God you better fucking believe that premium currency shop was finished before the tracks were
2k games sell better when people don't realize, or don't consciously think about 2k's being involved.
Putting it right in the game's name is as good as saying they don't want you to buy it.
I like the game and the car creator, but everything else is lame as fuck like the fact that you don't unlock drivers or that most of the challenges give you nothing and all because of the shop that, funnily enough, doesn't even work on the Switch version or at least not in my copy.
We will never get a Lego City Undercover 2. Fucking sucks bros. I want it to ditch the stages and just do open world missions like an actual kid friendly GTA style game.
I only heard about this from a ps app notification. Which those are rare. I wonder how much it costs to send out a notification for your game’s release.
Steam peak of 1000.
Lego <2K Drive
It's out?
Cause it's done by 2K and lacks any of the soul of the Lego Racers games. Would've been better off handing it to TT or some random dev.

>the lego is incidental
I don't understand this. You build your own vehicle. How much "more lego" can you get than that?
they shouldve made it a f2p kart game

too expensive and Speedstorm just recently launched so im having fun with that first
>full price
>mtx
>season pass
Into the trash it goes.
Almost as expensive as actual Lego.
I don't know what coins equate out to in whatever the game uses but I'm willing to bet it's actually more expensive if you go by the classic 10c/p guide.
This is my first exposure to it and seeing the full price tag is fucking wild
You can buy the ultimate edition for $120 or everything separately for $115.
Lel.
Literally this.
I would've bought the game but no fucking thanks to the retarded live service bullshittery and half-assed DLC.
It's also ironic that this is a kid's game with a family friendly brand, but insert in predatory microtransactions into it.
it's not ironic, it is intended. You don't see microtransactions in postal or twisted metal, but you do in fall guys or fortnite.
Wew
Sharing creations between friends is "coming soon" but by God you better fucking believe that premium currency shop was finished before the tracks were
So they decided to add microtransactions live service bullshit? No wonder it bombed
Lego racer 1 & 2
Lego Island 1 & 2
>Lego Island 1
Do you want his son to become a crackhead? That game is not from planet erath
>full price + tip game that thinks it's F2P
I cannot imagine the thinking that went into this decision
Can anyone recommend me some worthwhile lego games for my 6yr old kid? He loved the chase detective one
Depending on which series he likes:
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga
LEGO Marvel Superheroes 1
LEGO DC Supervillains
LEGO Harry Potter Collection
He likes cars and maybe a bit of fun story. Also sandbox games.
Yeah i think thats the chase detective one. Hes already beat it twice
LEGO City Undercover. My 7 yr old loves it.
I'll wait for it to be free on the Epic Games Store. Thanks, Tim.
I'll pick it up when it hits $20 this Summer.
>why a 2k dlc simulator bomb
because its not civ
Bricktales and Builders Journey are better. Minifig shit sucks unless it is Lego City or Lego Island.
>2K
>microtransactions
>5 hour campaign
>$70
it is a mystery
>$70
>its ok when zelduh does it
>implying
I haven't bought a Nintendo product since the days of the GameCube.

This is true. That's why the PGA 2K games flopped
also
>cross-gen isn't free and Switch is digital only
Fuck 'em
