He's right tho, the game is just right click until the screen is dead and the loot pops no matter what build you play there is no difference in playstyle. It's just zoom, click, zoom, click and make sure to upkeep maintenance buffs like flasks and cries etc. The game is won in the build creation the same way warframe is, however warframe has better gameplay despite being just as boring and repetitive.
99.9% of the playerbase do not make their own builds, those who do make their own builds know that the tree is not nearly as complicated as people make it out to be. You will always take the same wheels depending on what build you are making because those wheels on the tree are simply the most efficient per skill point. The game is needlessly obtuse and a reason people find it so confusing is because mechanics are not explained to the end user which imo is a failure of game design, I have 1.4k hour on this game and I don't actually think I had fun, just endlessly reading wiki page after wiki page to try and understand shit that should be explained in game but it isn't because the kiwi devs are lazy and chris wilson actually hates the people who play his game.

Cause it's literally impossible to compete with content. There's just too much content in Poe. In fact Poe is too bloated. That's why they started to remove some older league and new league not necessary will go core as of lately.
There's no real point to completing all content even if you could because most content doesn't give anything worthwhile.
Besides, you need to wait and grind for hours before you can try the high end content once.

PoE is an overly bloated game with dead content all around it. The more they add the worse it gets. It's a game about micro managing everything now. There is 1001 ways the game intentionally tries to slow you down. Hell Chris Wilson even said he wants players to "feel the weight". Having to manually pick up league currencies instead of them auto going into your inventory. Having to balance a hundred different ailments that inflict your character. The million layers of RNG there is to crafting. The only reason people still play is addiction.
