how do I do it, is it hard
No all you need is a usb with at least 15gb so you can fit whatever game you want on it. Look up a tutorial on youtube.

I'm no expert but the PS3 has a built in smoothness filter for PS1 titles, maybe you have it on?
I think it looks like a PS2 game a bit grainy on mine, unless I'm just used to PS3 graphics
Every PS3 model can emulate PS2 games digitally but only the original 60GB fat can play your PS2 discs. Additionally every PS3 model can emulate PS1 games, whether physical or digital.

I already played every PS2 / ps3 game I was interested in.
If you have a monster PC maybe. But I for one think it's the best way to play PS2 games since you can play it on a modern TV without fricking up the resolution.

Why should I waste time jail breaking and transfering files when I can play them at higher resolutions and framerates on a PC? Hacking consoles is stupid when you have a PC
i sold mine after jailbreaking it. realized there were maybe 4 good ps3 games and the PS2 emulation was pretty shoddy compared to pc
Don't you need a certain ps3 model for this? Its been ages since I've kept up jailbreaking ps3s.
In the past only possible with the 20 & 60 gb ones. Now slims can do it too, don't know about the super slim ones tho
60GB Phats do it better. The emulation layer on JB is good, but not as good.

because my ps3 doesn't start up anymore but I'm 90% sure it's just because there's so much dust in there since I never cleaned it in the decade I've had it for and I'm too lazy to open it and clean it.
You can use the fan boost at the beginning to give it a massive blow out
Unplug the power
Hold down the power button (or eject button I forget)
plug the power cable in until it beeps and blasts the fans on full power

I did it years ago, haven't turned it on in forever.
I play my PS2 games on my actual PS2. Way easier, and HDD loader works fine.
