It's does a lot to differentiate itself from 1 and 2. Also from what I can tell it's not connected to the story of 1 and 2, just set in the same world.
I've played every Zeno Clash game on launch all the way back to 2009 and didn't even know this game existed until the start of the Steam summer sale or so. Something about the marketing failed terribly.
Part of me thinks that Nacon fricked with that one, too.
They had to cut the multiplayer mode so the night mode feels pretty tacked on with not a lot of explanation, a lot of other stuff is also pretty unpolished and underdeveloped (including the titular minigame) and the world doesn't feel as batshit, anarchistic and creative as the other Zeno Clash games (well, I guess you can handwave that away with "story reasons)".
I honestly vastly preferred 2.
1 felt too much like a collection of scenarios with random gameplay that often were more miss than hit and went on for too long.
Not bad for a debut title but it really doesn't hold up anymore.
Golem fight was fricking tight, his animations were super heavy and it felt like he could destroy you at any second but was still going easy on his surrogate son.
Yeah, it was pretty damn good.
Some of the mutations could've used more versatility and there's a bit of padding but otherwise it's definitely a fun and memorable experience.
What is your favorite stance? I used lighting stance most of the time because it had a lot of endurance scaling. I love the speed, but the lack of range really hurts sometimes.
I almost exclusively used Shadow Stance once i got it. The small AoE blasts for attacks seemed useful against basically every enemy type for the rest of the game.
I think they did a very good job with the multi enemy fights. The enemies don't gank you, and will start to hide in the back when they get to low damage. They are challenging without being cheap.
i've played the demo and no way i'm spending more than 15 bucks for it
the dice minigame is half-baked and the dream world is a stupid gimmick
also it ran like shit but maybe they fized that
Is this a Xeno Clash sequel?
Yeah. Same devs and all. A very good action game with a great soundtrack.
Nice. I'll pick it up later.
Why didn't they just call it Zeno Clash 3?
It's does a lot to differentiate itself from 1 and 2. Also from what I can tell it's not connected to the story of 1 and 2, just set in the same world.
>great soundtrack
understatement of the year
Waiting for price drop. I bought most of their other games for less than 5 dollars each.
did not know it existed till now.
It was pretty good, amazing soundtrack. I felt they overdid it with the good dad vibes, I preferred the totally chaotic and fricked up Ghat vibes.

I'll buy it for $1 like I did with zeno clash

while i love almost every ACE Team game they can't really make an engaging multiplayer experience, especially online multiplayer
because both Xeno Clash games fricking sucked
It's Zeno not Xeno you fricking dope. And 1 was awesome, 2 was pretty disappointing though.
>2 was pretty disappointing
Gotta get that pal for a comfy co-op playthrough anon.

Did anyone play this?
Yeah, it was pretty damn good.

My favorite ACE Team game but like many of their other games it's so unique it kinda needs to click before you see what makes it special.
Clash AOC also took me a few hours before I slowly began to appreciate it more and I also love it.
Just bought Xeno Clash and have to play through it first. I love the introduction. What a weird unsettling world they build, I love it.
I wanna smash my head into trees mindlessly and attack passersby.

there's no reason to play this trash when god hand exists.
Huh? I don't get steam playtime or achievements in God Hand.
There's no reason to play Chud Handjob when Party Babyz exists.
I think they did a very good job with the multi enemy fights. The enemies don't gank you, and will start to hide in the back when they get to low damage. They are challenging without being cheap.
I bought it in the sale but I have a huge backlog of games to play so I don't know when I'll get to it
right now I'm playing Plague Tale Requiem
I give that game a 13/10 (cello music intensifies)
I played zeno clash like a decade ago, was fun enough
i've played the demo and no way i'm spending more than 15 bucks for it
the dice minigame is half-baked and the dream world is a stupid gimmick

It runs much better now. The dice game can be ignored for almost every fight.
