It's a small, slow board, so people with too much time on their hands can easily dominate the conversation just by posting a lot. All it takes is a couple autists who have nothing better to do and a desire to feel powerful to sit refreshing the catalogue all day. There's not enough regular traffic to offset it.
you can still have the occasional good discussion now and again if you really look for it and ignore the trolls, but it's definitely really hard nowadays. ever since we started having recurring characters like shaun, pl and yawngay it's all gone to shit, not to mention all the discord goons that band together and shit up everything.
