Plenty of benchmarks which show in most games it's better than a 13700k/13900k. Has an added bonus in that you don't have to worry about it burning your house down as well.

You didn't disable boost, you disabled PBO most likely. Only time I had my 5600 crashed is when I set the frequency manually to 4.65GHz all core.

I disabled PBO and that didn't do anything. In fact, it seemed to crash even more, so I put it back, then I went in again and looked around and found Core Performance Boost. I disabled those two. Not a single crash. I then put PBO back on, still no crash. Put CPB back on Auto and bam crash.
I think it's because piece of shit ASUS has my CPU go to 5Ghz. Still, no such issues exist in Intel evn if you have a shitty ASUS mobo.

I don't even know what factory settings are supposed to be since this is how I got it. It's the first time I ever tinkered around in the BIOS. Intel just works. I'm not used to this bs nor do I appreciate it. I don't like overclocking - it makes for a shitty inferior experience. My intel chips ran for 5 years minimum without a single provlem and this one started having problems literally 2 minutes into mt first Windows boot - and worst of all AMD isn't even acknowledging this fiasco and offering no help to re-clock it to how it's supposed to be - hence why I will never buy AMD again.

It's not. Outside of very specific scenarios at resolutions very few people play at (especially when they can afford a system with a 7800X3D), the only advantage AMD has is lower power draw. In terms of raw performance it loses against lower tiered Intel CPUs
Those were AMD GPUs, especially for pcsx2. For emulators they behave the same as in other scenarios, except for rpcs3 where they have a slight advantage due to AVX512 (and even then, a 12900k with AVX512 enabled mops the floor with every AMD CPU)

It depends entirely on what you're doing.
If you're playing a game that maxes out your GPU then the CPU naturally isn't going to slow it down. But if you're playing a game like Starfield where the CPU matters a lot, you will get shit frame rates compared to a system with a better CPU.
It's not as big of a deal as people make out, but if you don't keep bottlenecking in mind you will end up doing something moronic like buying a 4090 and pair it with an i3. You're just throwing money away if you do that.

Are you talking about pci latch or that part on the case. It's fine either way as long as all the connectors are touching. If it comes lose for any reasons while it's running it could catastrophicly fail. I dunno about getting it repaired but with the costs of gpus I wouldn't risk it.
If you seat it properly it will work fine but if it comes unseated for any reason while it's running it could short and fry both the slot and your gpu. Personally I'm a dare devil so I would just use some bungie cords or something to apply pressure and hold it in.

ROCm/HIP was released for all RNDA3 and most RNDA2 cards (from the high end) for Windows. I guess it's just a matter of time for someone to make a fork and then it'll be like it is for nvidia only at maybe 90% the speed at best.

And yes, Intels 13900 tops majority of charts but it sure as frick isn't worth it in a price to performance ratio if all you care about is gaming. Not saying you should get AMD, even Intel's own lower tier CPU's are better value most of the time.
People are quick to shit on nvidia for their price gouging in current gen but are too blind to see the same shit happening (albeit to a far smaller degree) on the CPU market, mainly by Intel. Also if you live in EU or west coast US, maybe you should consider how much power shit draws too thanks to our amazing "green" energy policies fricking with electricity prices. Or if you live in your moms basement and don't pay for your own electricity, who cares right?
As it is right now, AMD is king in terms of price to performance AND power use on the CPU market for gaming, doesn't mean they always will be, Intel does insist gen14 is gonna be super good but it's not coming to desktops until next year so who knows.

I run a 9900K with a 420 AIO and thought that was ridiculous with its 220W. Now you can see double that for Intelaviv chips.

Great CPU but i get filtered by the pins in the underside. Got one of them bent on my 5600x once. Managed to fix it but it scared the shit out of me
AM5 is LGA not PGA like AM4. Pins are on the motherboard not on the CPU.

You didn't disable boost, you disabled PBO most likely. Only time I had my 5600 crashed is when I set the frequency manually to 4.65GHz all core.
I disabled PBO and that didn't do anything. In fact, it seemed to crash even more, so I put it back, then I went in again and looked around and found Core Performance Boost. I disabled those two. Not a single crash. I then put PBO back on, still no crash. Put CPB back on Auto and bam crash.
I think it's because piece of shit ASUS has my CPU go to 5Ghz. Still, no such issues exist in Intel evn if you have a shitty ASUS mobo.
My MSI was boosting beyond standard settings from factory, check that.
I don't even know what factory settings are supposed to be since this is how I got it. It's the first time I ever tinkered around in the BIOS. Intel just works. I'm not used to this bs nor do I appreciate it. I don't like overclocking - it makes for a shitty inferior experience. My intel chips ran for 5 years minimum without a single provlem and this one started having problems literally 2 minutes into mt first Windows boot - and worst of all AMD isn't even acknowledging this fiasco and offering no help to re-clock it to how it's supposed to be - hence why I will never buy AMD again.

It depends entirely on what you're doing.
If you're playing a game that maxes out your GPU then the CPU naturally isn't going to slow it down. But if you're playing a game like Starfield where the CPU matters a lot, you will get shit frame rates compared to a system with a better CPU.
It's not as big of a deal as people make out, but if you don't keep bottlenecking in mind you will end up doing something moronic like buying a 4090 and pair it with an i3. You're just throwing money away if you do that.

Which works because outside of only a few occasions, AMD usually shits the bed.
Don't get me wrong, I like AMD, but often enough they can only compete because they sold their CPUs for dirt cheap.

Intel was teasing about some 35W 13900 that would run at 12900F levels but then they cucked out on it. Supposed to be a desktop CPU, too.
AMD CPU's have been very competive for gaming for years now, most just look at some dumb chart for one or two games and assume that means top CPU = best at everything. And yes, Intels 13900 tops majority of charts but it sure as frick isn't worth it in a price to performance ratio if all you care about is gaming. Not saying you should get AMD, even Intel's own lower tier CPU's are better value most of the time.
People are quick to shit on nvidia for their price gouging in current gen but are too blind to see the same shit happening (albeit to a far smaller degree) on the CPU market, mainly by Intel. Also if you live in EU or west coast US, maybe you should consider how much power shit draws too thanks to our amazing "green" energy policies fricking with electricity prices. Or if you live in your moms basement and don't pay for your own electricity, who cares right?
As it is right now, AMD is king in terms of price to performance AND power use on the CPU market for gaming, doesn't mean they always will be, Intel does insist gen14 is gonna be super good but it's not coming to desktops until next year so who knows.
I upgraded from r5 1500 to r5 3600x to 5800x3d on the same b350f mobo. Intel can suck my dick.
