It's for competitive autists that can't move on and play new games. I had a friend that quit because he believed everyone was cheating and blame that on him losing.

If he was Global+ in CS it could be the case. I'm just your generic slightly above average MM shitter in the MG1-DMG category and I've never really felt anyone was suspicious. Very different for high level players.

He's only a little wrong. I had only played like an hour of Source and 1.6 combined before trying CS2. CS2 is really fun, but I just don't see any point in talking to people on Ganker about it.

Cheating is why I stopped playing battlefield. Getting sniped out of a plane by a lewis machine gun in BF1 for the 10th time just isn't worth it.

I guess I haven't really played any FPS game since then. Cheaters really ruin this shit and they are everywhere.

    >When will valve fix the game?

I know it sounds bullshit but even fricking Chess has "cheating" allegations.
Magnus gayson, the supposed best chest player alive in the world right now, gets a free pass for accusing opponents of cheating because of butt plugs or people on the audience making him feel uncomfortable.
        Fricking bullshit.

    >Why is Counter-Strike still so popular
It's the archetypical normie game. Even its esports feels the closest to how real sports gets covered.
    >How come Ganker barely talks about it
What's there to talk about? It's already the perfect game that barely needs anything new. Nothing to say about it outside of notable events like CS2's bad launch or an operation.

Ganker is bad at videogames especially multiplayer ones. They would rather larp about how good Quake 3 (a game they never played) was

lots of people running&gunning way too successfully and playing like morons in general because the game allows them to
    >just adapt to new meta bruh and abuse peekers advantage in every position
yeah frick off, this isnt cs this is some fricking kiddie shit, i dont want to play quake or some other shit i want to play cs and this doesnt feel like it at all
im on a break until valve actually makes this game more like csgo, until then ill save my sanity and rather play something chill

you'll never be an esports superstar and nobody gives a frick about your rank. if you derive fun solely from your rank number, just install hacks.

Why can't you just explain what changed between CSGO and CS2 with sources?

The rank distribution is really messed up, and I get the feeling a lot of OG players have stopped or taken a break because the game doesn't feel good at all yet.

If we were in the correct timeline where valve made actual CS2 as an upgrade to source then Ganker would be talking about it more. Ideally we'd be talking about our favorite surf/gungame/zombie mod maps from fpsbanana and posting clips from PUGs that we got from organized scrimmages or even just some clips from casual games. Instead we have this game where every zoomer and e-sports Black person's biggest concern was about their fantasy skin market and whether or not their skins would carry over into the new game. To makes things worse, the focus has shifted away from community hosted content, instead everyone worships the almighty ~~*official*~~ matchmaking and ranking, we're never going to have fun community driven e-sports like CAL or CEVO again, instead we get the privilege of getting twitch Black folk shoved in our face and CheatingESLSperg Team vs SmurfRitalinAbusers420 in the Winter cuck Tourney 2023!!!! It's pathetic what they did to the game

Ganker lost its grip on Counter Strike when GO started to push esports and match making over the server browser.

CS was never powerful on Ganker compared to Tf2 but GO killed everything about owning servers.

It's a series that has been talked about, played and tweaked for 20+ years, so there isn't anything to talk about outside of new maps and pro drama since there's no story or lore behind the game.
Even if you're an enthusiast, there are plenty of much better places to talk about it than Ganker.

It's baby's first "serious" fps that requires no skill beyond some aiming and you can blame your teammates for playing like shit.
    Also lootboxes, it's mostly lootboxes.
