What is going on with gaymers? Did they lose their minds or what? I am very scared for what CAPCOM is going to do now that this game had this awful reception, we will possibly never ever get another Dragon's Dogma and it is all (you)r fault.

You've been making these threads for six months now.
You are mentally ill.
We won. You lost.
Actually I won and you lost.
Who are "we" and what did you win?
Who is "you" and what did they lost?
>We won. You lost.
Congrats.
Shit game
it's 9.5/10
Performance issues and it being DD 1.2 are the main reasons.

The game has sold over 3.5 million copies, it sold so well Capcom is paying out bonuses to shareholders. Capcom share price is at a record high as a result of Dragon Dogmas 2 success. Come back to reality seething brown man, you've toilets to master.
It sold 3.5 million copies in the first 2 weeks, but ever since then it dropped out of the *TOP 100* best sellers of any website you can think of. Goto Steam and check the global top sellers right now if you don't believe in me. Even Ghost of Sushi has overtaken Dragon's Dogma 2 in sales.
So yes, at the first few weeks there were lots of reasons to believe the game would be an explosive success, but it fell very very short quickly after.
3.5 million copies in the first 2 weeks IS an explosive success my man, it already happened, they're happy with what they got.
That is not how it works. Even DD1 sold more than 6 million copies. They expected DD2 to keep the trend but it did not. It's a failure.
Original DD sold 300.000 units in Japan before BBI
But FFXVI had the same numbers on just the PS5 and it "flopped"
dd2 looks extremely cheap
Because they spent 50 times the budget of development in the marketing.
Didn't it sell 2.5mill?
No?
yes, I checkd
The main story quests all sucking really killed it for me. The first game at least had some memorable moments during the main quest like the shadow fort, Blue Moon tower or the everfall. The only part that was really memorable in 2 was the post game. 1 captured my imagination often while 2 never did.
The generic quests were handled way worse in DD2 as well, all you had is the shitty pawn badges.
At least the quest board in 1 encouraged you to clear out the groups of enemies since you'd get a bit of pocket money, instead of the 300 gold and random materials you get in DD2. (that you can't even sell from storage like you could in DD1)
Also the gimmick quests like hunting rats/birds/rabbits encourage you to frick around
It's a mixed game
We didn't really need a second dragon's dogma to begin with.
We didnt really get a second one lol
Didn't really need a remake either
Are you the same moronic passgay that was concern trolling before the game even came out? What a fricking lolcow.
imagine being swedish
Dragon's smegma
hi discord!
Steamgays are very fragile.
Because the performance is pretty bad. I like the game and I left a negative review, this game has shown that rather than games taking advantage of new hardware they are just using that power to brute force. Like the game is not doing anything particularly outlandish, there is no reason for the performance to be this bad.
NG+ with the enemy randomizer makes me feel like if this was just the base game people wouldve loved it.
Discord sisters, our response?
>but SALES
the game is bad compared to what was promised
Goalpost moving
meds
>MTX
>barely builds on original
>terribly optimized for PC
>2/3 of npcs are black or furgays
good riddance
Because they haven't fixed pic related. There's other issues too but the game running like shit is definitely what's keeping the score down.
As usual, PC gays whining about dumb shit like they do constantly. PC gaming is irrelevant for good reason
Because the game just isn't that good.
>we will possibly never ever get another Dragon's Dogma and it is all (you)r fault.
Good. I am glad I made the effort to leave a negative review.
DD1 was a very mediocre game that was only like by pedophiles. Somehow they managed to gaslight everyone who never played DD1 into thinking it's a great game and they should all be excited for DD2. Well, DD2 came out and it was just as mediocre as the first one and now everyone knows these are two games extremely overrated by pedos.
As much as some people want to clown on Itsuno, i think he really is just very unlucky at CAPCOM.
Everyone knows DD1 was unfinished and rushed because Itsuno had to fly and make basically two games, because he was also at the time babysitting Ninja Theory when they were making DmC
But with DD2 it might have been even worse.
From what we know, he got way smaller staff than big CAPCOM releases usually get, approximately 1/4th of the DMCV team size.
The game is now in RE Engine, which is designed mainly for linear horror games in small spaces, not big open worlds with open cities and ton of NPCs with interactions rivailing that of an Elder Scrolls game.
Because of the above, probably EVERYTHING had to be done from scratch. Even if they are re-using designs and assets, porting it to new engine still takes time and they need to make higher fidelity models and textures as well.
Game's development literally started during Covid. Most of it's dev time was during the worst of it. For comparison, Elden Ring took longer to make, started just after DS3 last expansion, alongside Sekiro and had some time after worst of Covid ended. It also was working on the same engine and could easily pull assets from previous Souls games - game even has the exact same bugs and programming/coding issues as Demon's Souls, a game from 2009.
They most likely were forced to release the game before the fiscal year ended. It's also the first CAPCOM game with a 70$ price tag and MTX on day one, instead of them being dropped some time later.
Our only hope really is that after it's success, CAPCOM will give it more attention, maybe allocate some staff to Itsuno to help him on working on post-release content or expansion/DLC, but nothing is certain.
>I am very scared for what CAPCOM is going to do
Hopefully they will shut down
They're currently the most popular non-nintendo company in Japan.
homie they are one of the only companies in the videogame industry that is seeing growth. They havent had a flop in years because they make games cheap, so even when they arent a roaring success they at least dont lose money. meanwhile other companies are going through shit like this.
>We will possibly never ever get another Dragon's Dogma and it is all (you)r fault.
Good. Those greedy fricks took my DDON from me and I want you bastards to feel the smallest taste of my loss.
Anon the game was a success, if anything its more reliable to expect a sequel. We know for certain there is DLC coming, but weither they will just add one or keep adding to the game also leaves to be seen.
Who the frick wants another Dragon's Dogma
>mfw the game is selling so bad its not even in top 10000 global sellers
https://steamdb.info/stats/globaltopsellers/
>Why is Dragon's Dogma 2 still "Mixed" on Steam???
Because it's simply worse than the first game with the expansion
Performance is honestly fine on my 7 year old hardware (~40fps 1440p), the world is larger, but not bigger. Unmoored world is time locked which is a massive detractor too. They tried to tone down classes so pawns would be more important, but the pawn AI pathfinding is way worse so they end up useless because they get stuck trying to navigate around a random boulder
