Don't forget collector cred. Nothing makes your epic gameroom display measure up to all the other "throw money at it" collectors than the tried and true Panic Restaurant, Little Samson, and EarthBound.
Go play the game for free and dry your panties. Nobody needs to hear the cheapskate cries of a pantywaist that wants everything handed to them for free.
Nah, I've spent a lot on rare games and unique memorabilia over the years, some things costung into the thousands. I'm more commenting on collectors who buy the same old stuff like those titles simply because they've been memed as the must-have collectibles, to the point that they're basically just checkmark boxes for people trying to show off with things which everybody already knows are slightly rare.
Dude here who can't beat Mario 2. I love Panic Restaurant but boy I hate the western box art. It's stuff made out of nightmares like some painting by Bosch.
Anyway the Famicom cover is cute but while google I've found this cover which I've never seen before. Wtf is it?
Kek, i got my own copy of the game in 2008 for around 130 mexican pesos (10 bucks at the time) on a lost shop in cuidad Obregon Sonora that was liquidating it stock, they had ducktales and a bootleg Sailormoon Snes cart, but i went with Panic restaurant which i only read about it on wikipedia prior.
In the past, there was a much smaller percentage of adult men who displayed symptoms of manchild syndrome. Today it's at least 80%, thus more adult children trying to buy the same things.
Which means every serious collector has to have it so their collection is just as boring as every other collector's collection. I've never really understood the appeal of low print run games. They're mildly interesting, I guess, but limited store promo items, prizes, obscure memorabilia, etc all seem like much more interesting and soulful collector items.
bought this one loose for 4 bucks, and had to let go a CIB one for 10 (I arrived at the seller's house at the same time with other dude so we had to split the loot), here in SA there were lots of copies until the early 2010s
Why do you want to give money to resellers?
Low supply (late release that sold poorly) plus high demand (decent game & full set completionism)

Don’t forget flinstones disco at fraggle rock

Why can't you comprehend scarcity?
I took a shit yesterday, there's only one in the whole world, give me $5000 for it
Nobody wants your shit, moron.

Are westerners moronic? Who thought the game would sell with that cover art?
funco land buyback guide only lists it as $2.99
NEXT!

Like most late NES releases it's pretty rare and not many people had it.

I'm not even a fan of this game, I think it's too easy and the audiovisuals are off-putting.
decent game but not really worth more than 1 playthrough

Late Taito releases aren't common
same thing with late taito releases on pc engine (their hucard games, that is)
early taito games arent "too" expensive, while games like liquid kids, truxton, cloud master and hana taka daka go for hundreds of dollars
