Just say that you are dumb and know nothing about the game instead of writing shit like this. you prefer the real oversterring simulator like gt7? gt2 is the most balanced gt ever when it comes to under/over steer

3 and 4 are largely understeer prone because the default settings for ASM and TCS are too high. The smaller part of it is that 1 and 2 gives you way more grip.
Perfect, ehhh.
New tracks introduced in 2 are pretty dull and soulless compared to originals from 1. I also find the slanted hud to be a very poor design choice. Soundtrack is mediocre too.
Its okay on a wheel. It was really designed to show off what the Dualshock could do. You cant beat the massive library of cars, and Gran Turismo was the first game to let you really fine tune the cars. I will admit its a flawed game, but very few have kept me coming back again and again and again for 20 years. Some of those prize cars are way over valued though. Play normally with just your starting car and upgrades until you can get a MKIV Supra, slap a stage 4 turbo and a race transmission on it. Set the gearing to the highest top speed possible, do the tuned turbo car cup on the test track, win because its legit just a top speed test. Sell the Nissan R33 HKS Drag Car for 250,000 credits, do this race 4 times and you basically have unlimited money.
>but very few have kept me coming back again and again and again for 20 years.
Absolutely. It must've been the game I replayed the most in my entire life. >Its okay on a wheel.
I've had lots of fun playing it with a DS4+gyro, using it as a ghetto negcon. I hope it gets decompiled soon, honestly. >Play normally with just your starting car and upgrades until you can get a MKIV Supra
Why not go for the cheaper Mk.3? It's not as moron proof but you can win the special stage event in the same series easily with it, just lighten it up. I've had lots of fun doing that same race with an upgraded Punto.
That is possible and I have done it, but the test track one is braindead, hold A to win. Also I find the MK3 Supra has very boaty handling even when tuned up (Ive even driven one IRL) they're just heavy and not the best balanced. If we're going for the cheaper stuff rather than the late 90s I would roid up an MR2 or an R32 Skyline (pick trim based on budget, theres a million to pick from).
It was far from perfect. The rubber banding made the car stats redundant, which is good that they fixed it in the next few games. It caused much upsets that I had car that was weaponized with the best parts but had soccer mom cars catching up to me.
>looks worse than 3 >AI rubberbands, smashes into the wall every corner, and barely reacts to getting hit >popslop OST unless you had the nippon version
L.
GT 2 doesn't have rubber banding, wtf are talking about?

>Doesn't have always online and a MTX store
>Perfect
Yeah nah
ecks dee
Shit ton of cars, tracks and mods, simple as. It's also why GT3 is so good. It's almost the same, but amazing graphics.
GT3 is much lower scale, but also higher quality imo, out of the first 4 games GT3 is the one I enjoy driving the most.
>the real understeering simulator

GT3 is legit one of the first games I've ever played. It was awesome when I was 4-5.
>I was born in 2002.
>I wasn't even alive when it came out
>I was only 2 years old when Ganker started.
GT3 graphics are still amazing
Shut up you zoomie
Wow. How original, your a bigger newbie than me.
Gt3 is just this with great visuals, 2 tards are seriously demented
gt3 has dips and slowdown in emulation, gt4 runs perfectly
upgrade your pc or just download the normal version of pcsx2 instead of 2012 one
Low on content also terrible early game
Terrible mid game too. The repeated events with absurd lap counts are atrocious.
Still better and shorter than pointless collectathon 4
already done all of that, sad 🙁
:c

>No FFB
So close to perfection

Cringe early 20s guy game purchase. He also buys $400 watches.
But enough about you
Just cuz.
I loved this game until I noticed the reverse rubberbanding where when you’re in first, every car goes super slow.
You can look but you can’t touch
I don’t think I like you much
Why is it so BORING?

It absolutely does have rubber banding and it's ATROCIOUS in the GT2, probably some of the worst I've seen in a racing game.

A PS1 game looks worse than a PS2 game. I am shocked at this information.
It's funny, after almost 30 years this series still has shitty AI.
>Why is it so perfect?
That statement is false.
did you seriously call of of the buggiest console games perfect homie?
