I own a Switch and I'm sorely disappointed with the lack of serviceable games on the store. It's a sea of cheap Chinese shovel ware with tiny islands of Nintendo exclusives I have no interest in playing.
yeah because you can totally play tears of the kingdom, mario odyssey, metroid dread, metroid prime remastered, like 20 different pokemon games, the biggest selling mario kart game of all-time, xenoblade 1-3, bayonetta 1-3, the entire wii u library and the entire pikmin series on your phone.
I.think the switch will be at 140 million units by March 2024. If switch 2 comes out in 2024, then switch 1 will probably hit 150 million and dethrone the PS2 as the best selling console of all time.
>PS5 has games, the Switch has none
If thay were true, why iis the difference in softwares sales so fricking massive? PS5 games sell like shit. Switch has some of the highest selling first party titles we've ever seen in gaming. The performance of Nintendo's software puts sony's to shame

You are completely ignoring the fact Nintendo software dominates the competition. It doesn't fricking matter if you can pirate it on PC, they are still widely selling more than PS5 games.

I don't care if people emulate games or not. I don't know why you think this is a retort to the discussion being had or would in any way upset me.

You're moving the goal posts you fricking homosexual. You claimed the Switch was being scalped to China, and I was saying the software sales prove otherwise. Quality is irrelevant to that discusion.

You sound like the kind of guy who believes that releasing Dolphin on Steam wouldn't have catastrophic consequences on future native PC ports of console games, especially after it took so many years to gain the trust of japanese third-parties, or on the development and distribution of emulation.

No? Genshin blows breath of the brap and tiktok out of the water. First frickin try from the company too, and shitendo has been how long in this business for? Pathetic.

>All shitch games are on Deck
Wow, and they're STILL outselling PS5 software hand over fist even though people can get them for free. That's not really the "gotcha" you think it is.
There's 1 to 2 good games a year which is plenty for me. I don't like to play games on my phone because they suck battery life like no tomorrow, and become unreasonably furious if I have to charge my phone at any point between waking up and going to bed.
PS2 continued to sell 35m units after PS3 came out. Switch hasn't had a single process drop in 6+ years. All it would take is a single price cut just before the holiday season and it's all but guaranteed.
>PS2 continued to sell 35m units after PS3 came out.
Mmh... i guess i might have underestimated the sales a console can achieve after its successor is released.
We'll know more in a few days when the financial report comes out. Last quarter it was already at 125m, which means it has sold more units than PS2 did before the PS3 was released.
>Why is it so popular? There's a lot of games on phones too, so why not just play those?
People do.
Mobile gaming is the most profitable and most played form of gaming on the planet.
Nintendo Switch is the most played form of non-mobile gaming ahead of the other consoles and PC, but it's not even close to touching mobile gaming.
I know Ganker is moronic and doesn't understand the game industry or economics in general, but you're straight moronic if you don't understand the behemoth that is mobile gaming. You're letting your personal bias cloud any logic.
It is, unfortunately there are some sony and steam fanatics that have made it their life's goal to shit on every thread that has anything to do with Nintendo.

Anon, there are sonygays here with hacked switches who post them while defending Sony.
They will do b anything to shitpost.

I guess it depends on expectations. I knew what the switch would provide and I'm happy with it. I was bored of movie/cinematic games and Ubisoft eyecandy games that were boring. The graphics on Switch are fine for me and the games it has is what sold me on it. Plus I have friends and family who couch co-op a lot of games on it with me, so it's a perfect system for what I was looking for. Mario Kart / Tennis Aces / 3d World, etc., are all a blast either by myself or with others. I don't get that experience with PC or other consoles.
It's the cheapest, and most plug and play console there is.
Contrary to PS5 or Xbox, you don't need a 30 minutes install for your games, just insert the cartridge and you immediately play.
Form factor is also a huge argument: you can play it however you like.
It also helps that the console has some of the best games out there.
Switch is impressive because it got to where it is mostly on the quality of its catalogue. That's why its attach rate is so high. There is something for everyone and that something is legitimately good across the board. Phones completely overtook the mobile gaming market and proceeded to produce absolutely nothing of quality. That phenomenon is insane to think about. I'm really unsure of how Nintendo's next console is going to do. Switch was helped immensely by the Wii U's flop and used that console's library to its advantage.
>Switch was helped immensely by the Wii U's flop and used that console's library to its advantage.
Not really, other than Mario kart and NSMBU the wii u ports didn't come close to the new games.
My phone is for Ganker
I own a Switch and I'm sorely disappointed with the lack of serviceable games on the store. It's a sea of cheap Chinese shovel ware with tiny islands of Nintendo exclusives I have no interest in playing.
It's surprising how shit this console really is, I thought Nintendo was supposed to make quality products?
well games are somewhat good but it's a crime that they are exclusive to this shit
The store is awful. I just check dekudeals every now and then.
Why did you buy a Nintendo console if you aren't interested in Nintendo exclusives?
He clearly doesn't have one.
Bruh homie u got monster hunter generations on switch and xenoblade 1-3, stop complaining. My PC cant even play bloodborne
it's the peak geek gadget where the novelty factor is half the reason manchildren buy it, same as steam deck
on top of that it appeals to children
Ok, but how is it selling without any games?
on the novelty factor alone as well as barebones shit like zelda and mario, people buy shit they don't have use for all the time
Why doesnt it got games?
because it's so weak that third parties can't realistically support it properly and the first party output is slow
It does, it's disingenuous switch hating homosexuals that claim it has "no games"
I owned a switch the first two years it came out and apart from zelda and mario I had nothing to play
why are you talking to yourself
There are 5 ips in here moron
Yeah, exactly. Thank you for explaining. So why are you talking to yourself?
>tendie can't do math
yeah because you can totally play tears of the kingdom, mario odyssey, metroid dread, metroid prime remastered, like 20 different pokemon games, the biggest selling mario kart game of all-time, xenoblade 1-3, bayonetta 1-3, the entire wii u library and the entire pikmin series on your phone.
mmmm thank you so much miyamoto san for the yummy slop...
This is the most inorganic thread I've ever read

You're the one who made the thread and started talking to yourself to keep it alive, eric
Eric is a tendie
Just got the Deck!

Shitendo scalps the majority of them in China so it won't be a legitimate win
Compare the software sales/attachement rate of the Switch vs the PS5 and tell me which of the two is more likely to be the one being scalped to China.
>MUH SONY
The PS5 has games on it, the shitch has none, so it's obvious who's committing the fraud here
>The PS5 has games on it
lol
lmao even
You are completely ignoring the fact Nintendo software dominates the competition. It doesn't fricking matter if you can pirate it on PC, they are still widely selling more than PS5 games.

because phone games are fricking shit
No? Genshin blows breath of the brap and tiktok out of the water. First frickin try from the company too, and shitendo has been how long in this business for? Pathetic.
Pokemon
Console fanboys are morons but Pokemongays are on a completely different level. You can give them shit and they would eat it.
I like getting games for it still, recently ordered Castlevania advanced collection and will probably get Dead Cels Castlevania.
No games
ps5 has the best exclusives
All shitch games are on Deck™
>sees someone call out a crying Black person
>instantly assumes "it must be me!"
Black person how basic are you?
>All shitch games are on Deck
Wow, and they're STILL outselling PS5 software hand over fist even though people can get them for free. That's not really the "gotcha" you think it is.
PS4 is old news now. Hell, why is PS5 software doing so much worse than the PS4 even?
Lol yes they sure are
Can you frick off already Eric?
I'm tired of your obvious falseflagging.
>posting videos of months old emulator versions
yep big victory there bud, it's not like they didn't get TotK going on the Deck already
>NOOOOOOOO EMULATION JACK DOESN'T EXIST!!!!!!!
the Black person is crying really hard uh?
There's 1 to 2 good games a year which is plenty for me. I don't like to play games on my phone because they suck battery life like no tomorrow, and become unreasonably furious if I have to charge my phone at any point between waking up and going to bed.
this thread in a nutshell
Whole board is gonna be unusable for a few days when the Switch passes the PS2 in total sales.
I'll be using it to gloat.
We all know you'll be shitposting with it, Eric
>few days
>days
if Switch outsells PS2, one side will need to get permabanned for the board to get back a sense of "normal"
You say one side but the answer has always been obvious.
Is this actually possible? At the current rate it is selling, how long would it take?
At least 2.5-3 years, i think.
It won't happen, because they will release a new console before then.
PS2 continued to sell 35m units after PS3 came out. Switch hasn't had a single process drop in 6+ years. All it would take is a single price cut just before the holiday season and it's all but guaranteed.

There are no games on phones.
Can't play mainline Pokémon, Mario and Zelda games on my phone. Also, Switch is not that expensive.
Tick tock. Low print run switch games are already being scalped for 3x. Consoom now before you miss out.
>Why is it so popular? There's a lot of games on phones too, so why not just play those?
People do.

having a wider net with consistent spenders is a viable form of profit over relying on whales

You have to admire the irony of this post because you haven't actually said a thing about either subject.
Pikmin mad-dogging FFXVI in Japan really buck broke you, didn't it? You've been shitposting nonstop since last Monday.
Nintendo exclusives are the most interesting, simple as. DS and 3DS have literally 10/10 libraries
Because phones are shit for playing games on.

PC elitists don't single out any console dev. They just shitpost about consoles as a whole.
By steam fanatics, I'm mostly talking about decklets. Their obsession with Nintendo rivals that of sony fans.

Nintendo has the strongest IPs out of any gaming company. This is a dumb question

FRICK THE SWITCH!
Eric has arrived
Games. It's the ps2 of this generation. Huge amount of exclusives
What caused Eric's meltdown this time?
Pikmin 4 sold more copies in 3 days than FFXVI sold in a month. It completely broke him.
Eric doesn't exist.
Sure thing Eric.
Thank you to all anons who recommended Xenoblade to me in a previous thread, my copy is arriving today.
Welcome to the Xeno club, brother
Great choice!
Which one, btw?
The first one, Definitive Edition.
It's the cheapest, and most plug and play console there is.

HWDE is by far better and contains more content than the moronic shit they made of the BotW one.
Mobile games are shit
