autistic existential dread and philosophy shenanigans means it's incomprehensible to the average teenage mexican who just wants to see the streamer man make silly noises
Unironically too hard for plebs to understand. This is also evidenced by how many people think that the "coin flip" was a literal coin flip that happened.
>walking simulator >AWFUL voice acting >jarring unconvincing characters >plotline relies on MC being very very dumb
The setting looks cool, and that's about it. The philosophical questions of mind dumps are almost completely lost on how brain dead they are presented and acted.
I had a good time, the MC's peak moronation doesn't come until the end, at which point his brain damage takes over and he spergs out. But by then I already enjoyed some good scary times
you can kill a few germans at the start in the tutorial but it's pretty scripted and your buddy can help you - you can kill the rats that are growing into mutant rats - there's a single boss french guy who has the shotgun you can kill to obtain it - you can kill the beast
guns and explosives drive the beast away sorta like alien isolation's flamethrower and craftable stuff till the final battle where you can kill him
they mostly function as get out of jail cards or as keys for unlocking doors. revolver can shoot padlocks off doors and the shotgun can quickly turn wooden doors into shreds so you can get through but both will likely attract the beast
the rats are the main enemy you'll deal with when the beast isn't around and you can either ignore them and avoid, tank damage by running by them and jumping as best you can, lure them away, drive them off with fire or straight up kill them in a few ways
this is not a combat style game if you want to pew pew enemies though i guess there's room for that if there's some custom stories like previous amnesia games
Def underrated. As a fan of original BioShock i loved this. Scarier, better sense of scale, especially when outside, and story was more interesting to me.
I think most people are dumb honestly. If you don't spoon feed them like a Michael Bay movie with explosions and loud noises, they sort of drool away to something else.
I agree with him that the monster-dodging segments felt tacked on like the devs just felt they were obligatory
These days it even comes with the option to turn off monster aggro entirely, they know in reality those sections are an annoyance between the interesting parts
>MC being a braindead moron
It's crazy that people never connect the dots on carl not understanding he's a robot despite ample evidence, and simon not understanding the coin toss despite a game's worth of evidence
Like he is being moronic but in a very specific way that allows him to stay sane and functional, which is a very prominent theme of the game (and if you ignore it you're being as moronic as simon is)
>heh i rolled the dice and won
No moron, you played as a new person every time you "transfered" bodies. You were always left behind and allowed yourself to get cucked each time by the person you then played as

kek, I would find it hard to believe anyone actually thinks that (assuming they played the game)
Frickin catherine flippin my coins without me knowing I would've gotten heads reeeeeeee
people b***hing and moaning about walking simulators probably
>babbys first mandalorian recommended game
>muh 'soma is a masterpiece' video essay
>soma saved my life
underrated?
>walking simulator
>AWFUL voice acting

Not true. You didn't get it.
No, the MC didn't get it and the game ends with him still not getting it.
You didn't get it. That's not what happens at all.
Yeah keep telling that to yourself Simon.
I'd be the one surviving the coin flip.
morons don't understand it.
Anyone not completely moronic loath the MC for being a whinny moron.
No one has a good time playing it.
>No one has a good time playing it.
I did
I had a good time, the MC's peak moronation doesn't come until the end, at which point his brain damage takes over and he spergs out. But by then I already enjoyed some good scary times
it's overrated. Amnesia: The Bunker is their best game, by far.
Does the Bunker have actual combat with actual enemies you can kill? I don't want another hide and seek simulator or Alien/Mr. X simulator.

there is combat but you have to buy a gun and ammo and find people to kill around your town
ideally dark skins
Penumbra Black Plague
ftfy
Low IQ people felt scammed by the brilliant ending.
Dario
Because people think Simon is an idiot while themselves misunderstanding the cointoss
While playing it I didn't get the feeling of BING BING WAHOO
>is a robot trapped undeground
>cannot believe he is a robot trapped underground
Poor guy

REPEAT AFTER ME
SOMA
IS
NOT
A
HORROR
GAME
>HORROR
>story
What is your point? It's a game.
Yes
A story-driven horror game
It's a walking simulator
No. This what morons say when they're too moronic.
Over simplifying a game only makes you look too stupid for valid opinion.
Frick off all you do in that game is walk, and the story isn't even good.
Thanks for confirming you have never played it.
The nobodies you idolize on youtube aren't your friends. They just want you brainwashed and fixed on their pathetic lives.
Think for yourself. Experience things yourself. Or, suffer.
>still seething
I accept your concession.
>Frick off all you do in that game is walk
What about all the other things you do that don't involve walking?
He is so moronic
I agree with him that the monster-dodging segments felt tacked on like the devs just felt they were obligatory

More like overrated. Game literally relies on the MC being a braindead moron for the story to work.

These morons are incapable of understanding it.
They're all Michael Bays.
The premise is set up for hours, and it's not until close to the end that the main character suddenly acts blindsided by it.
overrated
why are midwit redditors basedfacing so hard over the plot """twist"""?
