Along with the negative reaction CA has gotten as of late, there isn't that much interest in an Egyptian setting compared to the other settings and it seems to be more of a Saga game.
but ancient egypt is kino as frick? Doesn‘t everyone love pyramids and egyptology?
not him but total war as a franchise has turned into a shitshow
NTA but I agree, Egypt as a setting is absolutely fine. But is fricking CA.
This is a war game homosexual. Bronze Age war is boring as frick. Bronze Age culture and religion were cool as hell though.
More than anything, these settings inspire a lack of confidence, as if they are still broken from the Rome 2 release. They know the fans want Med 3 or Empire 2, but they know it won't be good so they don't make them. From that we can easily tell that these niche setting games won't be good either.
Because we know CA is and truthfully has always been a dump, making garbage but Total War was just lightning in a bottle that they exploited for years. They really aren't that great, and never have been.
Alien was good
Outsourced.
WE
Bad eyes
tpbp
WUZ
have yo seen the map? it's egypt and anatolia and nothing else
It is over.
IF WE WASNT
WE
Ay yo midjourney /image /imagin /imagine give me a pictur of ancient egypt, make em black, some pyramids n shit, hotep, giant head of Will Smith, some flying shit, some lil homies riding in a box, zesty homies, black queen
/pol/gays will always find some random literally who posting shit like this while shilling for an entire nation worth's of cultist morons who unironically believed that human culture originates from germanic people
you played 1 total war, you played all previous and future releases of them
Hittites on board.
because settra rulez
Honestly, they peaked with Egypt as a faction with Tomb Kings lol.
>warhammergays dont care because its not warhammer
>historygays dont care because they want a shogun, medieval, or rome sequel
Real historychads want Empire 2.
I want the franco-prussian war god damnit
That would be pretty dope. Unfortunately we're getting slop.
>Victoria: Total Wars (Europe)/Imperial: Total War (America/Australia)/Shogun 3: Total War (Asia)
Years started in 1815 and ended in 1901
Is the victoria mod good? Because they haven‘t updated that shit in years. Don‘t own empire otherwise would try it out. Shogun 2 has a decent franco prussian mod, but i have trouble getting that one to work (also no european map)
The franchise has been bad for a while now. Plus I don't buy things with Black folk on them
The city builder is more in line with the Egypt identity
If I want to play egyptian total war I'll just pick tomb kings (for the 200th time).
Apparently the AI is nearly as bad as it was in Rome 2
I wonder why they can't standardise the AI for these games given how similarly they play. No one expects the AI to be particularly smart but they keep getting basic shit wrong every game.
1) new total war sucks
2) WE
It looks like shit. You have sword dudes, axe dudes, spear dudes, arrow dudes, sling dudes, and chariots. Wow. It's Troy tier
>Drive away old fans by releasing a shit game (Rome 2), refusing to fix it, and releasing what is basically just a reskin of it (Atilla) and eventually selling out to a fanbase that is known for having low standards and will buy basically anything (The Warhammer trilogy)
>Drive away the people who don't know better and actually like the Warhammer games with horrible DLC gouging and releasing the 3rd game as an unplayable wreck while also making the DLC problem worse by upping the price
I fricking wonder why no one cares
Anyone know any good naval combat games similar to total war gameplay? Kinda hard to explain but unit/squad based real time battles with a tactical overview. The only ones I’ve ever seen are either extremely slow paced, early access indie, or a spreadsheet simulator. Total war navel combat is atrocious but I’ve been itching for some boat fights of any era.
yeah ultimate admiral or whatever it's called
the campaign map it's composed of egypt, near ME, anatolia and stop. still are present asia minor, greece, levant, so the plan was to sell assyrian mycean and babylonean civ via dlc + add those portion of the map.
real time battles sucks since rome 2
all the effort are in the graphics and still it's lame
price of a major TW for a reskin of troy
CA will never do another good historical TW
Historic TW has been dogshit ever since Medieval 2, maybe since Empire but that's debatable. I stopped caring.
Already JOINED THE PACK instead
this is at best a submod to RTW 2, not really deserving of a full game. What kind of unity variety will we get? None.
