I fricking hate dlc for video games but for other reasons such as it makes a physical copy incomplete and outdated, so if they decided to re-release a new version of the game with the dlc on disc or cartridge i have to sell my old copy and buy the new physical version
Eh, maybe it was just the time, but I think everyone was expecting it would roll out just like BotW. We should have probably realized that there wouldn't be a dlc when there was no expansion pass sold.
It would make them look hypocritical. They went on and on about DLC of the Kingdom being basically every idea they wanted to implement into BotW but couldn't.

Everything Nintendo does is in service to itself, not the consumer.
They sell Switch games at premium because they know they can get away with it - they couldn't with the Wii U, or even the 3DS because of the sheer amount of exclusives it had.
All Nintendo cares about is making profits. Not about you or me, or the fricking games themselves; just about money. Having to buy an additional controller that isn't a meme like the joycons doesn't benefit me at all.
Having to buy an SD card because their table has a measly 32, in actuality less than 32, GB memory doesn't benefit me. Having to pay for their dogshit online service doesn't benefit me, especially when the system worked just fine without it for the first two years.
So again, how are any of these israeli practices that at the end of day exist solely for Nintendo to have the most tight-leash control over their IPs just so they can resell me the same game, some times literally, other times with sorry "remasters" or "remakes" benefit me at all? How are they my ally?

they make like 400% margin on the switch when every other console manufacturer makes a loss, including valve
they charge full price for software despite having AA sized teams making them, even some 3rd party indie titles are full priced despite being $5 on steam

Nintendo has always been working products first at release.
They make a game, then go direct to make another working game.
