I honestly can't understand any person who got the PS5 and already had a PS4, specially if they had already a good PC. I didn't have a PS4, so I'm having fun, I've played Spiderman Miles Morales, Spiderman 2, FFXVI, Demon's Souls, DMCV Vergil DLC, ICO and I have on my backlog Detroit, Returnal, GOW Ragnarok, Persona 5 and Blasphemous 2.
It really helps that I got a year of PS Plus Extra for 40€ thanks to Turkey.
The loading times and DualSense were worth it for me. I’m a veteran so I got a launch PS5 for like $25 off back in 2020 at launch in Veterans Day and just sold my PS4 Pro for like $300 so it was worth it IMO. The only problem is that I expected another PS4 run where we’d get exclusives like Nier Automata (I know it isn’t exclusive anymore)

From what i understand the reason games need big day 1 updates is because the disks are printed months in advance so they don‘t have the latest updates

there are read write disks but they are more expensive and games company's will never use them as they make piracy easy.

I heard some news recently about the chinese manufacturing plant slowing down ps5 production. That said in the same news they completely ended xbox series X production. Those are temporary measures however, so it seems like there's some left over stock.
They vastly overestimated the post-Covid demand.
There were reports from Taiwan saying Sony is cutting PS5 production by half because they produced too much for the holidays season and they didn't sell. Even with discounts and free Spider-Man 2 bundles in.

Spider-Man 2 is reportedly mediocre if you've played the 1st which I did so all that leaves is not waiting on FF7 Rebirth which isn't worth 900 maple bucks.
The gameplay itself is great but everything else is lame, I think I got all achievements under 20 hours since there isn't much to do.
